AI-Based Customizable and Predictive Navigation System

Current Navigation Map apps have become essential for daily travel, but in my view, they still lack few flexibilities and foresight. At present, Maps offers only a few route options, mostly based on shortest time or distance. In real life, however, many users prefer main roads over shortcuts through sandy or narrow lanes, even if it takes a little longer. This is especially important for cars and heavy vehicles, since narrow roads or sandy paths may cause vehicles to get stuck or delayed. Also, sometimes you may want to pass through a relative’s home or a familiar landmark. The inability to fully customize routes often creates inconvenience, safety risks, and dissatisfaction.

My idea is to enhance Maps with an AI-based customizable route system. Users could set preferences such as “prefer main roads,” “avoid sandy or unsafe lanes,” or “pass through specific landmarks.” Over time, a machine learning model would learn from user behaviour and automatically adapt future route suggestions. Crowdsourced feedback about road conditions like whether a street is sandy, narrow, smooth, or poorly lit would further improve route safety. For instance, if multiple users report that the lane near Bahadurpally is sandy, the app would automatically suggest an alternate main road. Additionally, whenever a user travels through a route that may have poor conditions or if the system detects that the road could be problematic the app can prompt the user to provide feedback or review the road, helping improve route suggestions for everyone.

Another key feature which I would like to introduce is to predictive traffic analysis. Maps shows live traffic, but it does not forecast upcoming congestion. For example, if the app says Uppal to Gachibowli takes 1 hour with no traffic now, it cannot predict that by the time the user reaches a middle spot, peak-hour congestion will begin. With ML analysis of historical traffic data and real-time inputs, the system could forecast future traffic patterns, suggest alternate main roads, or even advise on the best time to start (earlier or later) to avoid jams.

This solution benefits commuters, families, rural travellers, and urban professionals who value both safety and time. Personally, I and also many of you must have often directed through sandy lanes or been caught in traffic that could have been predicted earlier. With this system, users would enjoy personalized, safe, and intelligent navigation that truly adapts to their needs.

Esthesis- Style, simplified.

Many people — from influencers to busy professionals — want to look stylish but don’t have the time, patience, or know-how to plan outfits. With endless options online and offline, choosing what to wear becomes stressful and time-consuming. Current tools only make it worse: shopping apps push products, inspiration platforms don’t connect to shopping, and personal stylists are costly and inaccessible.

The Problem with Current Fashion Apps

  • Focus on individual products instead of full outfits.

  • Cater mainly to high-income users with expensive stylists.

  • Offer inspiration (Pinterest/Instagram) without direct shopping integration.

  • Use AI for “find similar” tools, not full look generation.

Result: No affordable, accessible way to get styled for real events, budgets, and personal tastes.

The Solution

This app combines AI outfit generation with access to affordable personal stylists. Users input details like occasion, mood, or budget, and the AI instantly creates full outfits — including clothes, shoes, and accessories — sourced from popular online stores, selecting the most cost-effective yet high-quality products. For those seeking extra support, a stylist can refine the AI’s suggestions, making looks more personalized and polished without the high price tag of traditional styling.

Unlike shopping apps or inspiration platforms, this app delivers complete, shoppable looks tailored to real budgets and real lives. It generates revenue through a hybrid model: affiliate commissions from retailers, optional subscription tiers, and service fees for stylist refinements.

Who Benefits

  • Users → Save time, reduce stress, and access premium styling affordably.

  • Stylists → Gain visibility and income through a scalable, digital-first platform.

  • Brands/Retailers → Boost sales by appearing in curated, shoppable looks instead of being buried in catalogs.

Why It Matters

I’ve often felt the stress of choosing outfits before events — something fun quickly became something frustrating and overwhelming. Looking stylish shouldn’t demand excess time, money, or patience. This idea blends AI efficiency with human creativity to make styling premium, affordable, and stress-free for everyone.

Sustainability & VisionThis app also promotes sustainability by “recycling” forgotten wardrobe pieces into fresh outfits, helping reduce waste while saving money. Over time, it could highlight sustainable shopping options, making style not just about looking good, but also making conscious choices. By blending the speed and intelligence of AI with the creativity and judgment of human stylists, this app goes beyond simple shopping or inspiration tools. it has the potential to democratize fashion — making “looking good” less about privilege and more about confidence, convenience, and creativity.

PriceHawk-A Dynamic Pricing Engine

“PriceHawk

              - An eye on your market”

I have always wondered why big companies (such as Uber, Airbnb, and Amazon) are constantly upskilling their game, while small ones struggle.

The big companies have already been using dynamic pricing in the backend to attract customers/sales each time an opportunity comes by.

The problem:

Unfortunately, small businesses don’t have access to these tools. They either charge too high or too low because they guess prices instead of optimizing them or they remain silent with their original pricing which in turn is hindering its growth.

My idea:

So, what PriceHawk does is takes in the seller's input

Their product/service worth

Competitors data

demand trends (such as if it's a holiday, weekend, or events)

customer groups

The locality where the customer lives.

Using Game Theory [auction theory, Nash equilibrium algorithms] we predict our competitors' pricing ranges and ML to analyze the past events, demands, and customer willingness to pay.

We create a “DYNAMIC PRICING ENGINE” that suggests the "best price in REAL TIME” while anticipating their competitors’ moves.

What's unique and why is it even required?

For instance, Uber already uses complex algorithms to maximize their profits in a crazy strategic way, which is quite fascinating tbh!

We here make the same power accessible to small ones in

→easy to use

→affordable

and in →real time

The result?

Even small businesses can maximize their sales, adapt to demands and keep them going without any hassle just like the other big ones in the market.

Personal safety is not just a women’s issue, it is something that affects everyone. Late night commuters, delivery workers, travelers, students anyone can feel unsafe. Most safety apps today are either focused on one gender or depend on the user to manually trigger an alert, which doesn’t help much if someone is in shock or unable to act. Rakshak is designed to change that by creating a truly inclusive and intelligent safety network.

Rakshak uses adaptive monitoring powered by AI. Instead of rigid check ins, the app learns your usual patterns like commute times, routes, and walking speed to adjust its alerts. If you miss a check in, it quietly gives you warnings before involving others. After three missed confirmations, it shares your live location with your chosen contacts. By the fifth missed check in, it escalates with automated calls to your loved ones or local authorities.

Some key features that make Rakshak different:

• Context awareness: detects sudden movements or suspicious sounds on your phone to trigger early warnings while keeping your data private

• Smart route prediction: guides you toward well lit and busier areas if you stray from your usual path

• Voice codes: a simple phrase can cancel an alert or send an SOS without even unlocking your phone

• Inclusive by design: meant for anyone who could feel vulnerable, not limited to one gender

This idea matters to me because I have seen people of all genders feel unsafe just walking home or traveling. Safety should not depend on luck or on tools built for only some of us. Rakshak is meant to be a reliable companion for everyone.

One of the biggest challenges students face in college is the high cost of academic and hostel essentials such as textbooks, lab equipment, calculators, bicycles, and even basic room supplies. At the same time, many seniors often throw away or abandon these items when they graduate. This creates both a financial burden for juniors and unnecessary waste on campus.

Existing platforms like OLX or Amazon are not tailored for students. They are too broad, require long-distance delivery, and often involve strangers outside campus, which reduces trust and convenience. Campus notice boards or WhatsApp groups are informal and disorganized, making it difficult to find the right item at the right time.

My idea is Campus ThriftHub, a student-exclusive marketplace where peers can buy, sell, or exchange pre-owned items safely within the campus community. This can be implemented as a simple mobile app or web platform linked to student IDs for verification. Sellers can upload photos of their items, set affordable prices, and buyers can connect instantly for quick handovers on campus.

Who benefits?

  • Buyers (juniors): Access affordable resources and save money.
  • Sellers (seniors): Earn extra pocket money while clearing out unused items.
  • Community: Campus waste reduces, promoting sustainability.

EazyMobility-Rapid & Reliable Campus Mobility Support

Students often rely on cabs or ride-hailing services to commute to campus, home, or other destinations. However, current ride-hailing platforms frequently have long wait times, especially for long-distance trips or during peak hours, leading to delays, missed classes, and increased stress. This problem is more pronounced for students traveling from distant areas or during late hours when quick transportation is critical for safety and punctuality.

Ride-hailing apps can take a significant amount of time to match and dispatch rides, particularly for long-distance trips, causing inconvenience. Limited options or delayed pickups in less busy or remote areas, affecting student safety and reliability.
Price surges and lack of affordable options for extended travel, putting a strain on student budgets.
Current apps are generic and do not cater to the unique needs of students, such as safety features tailored for campus travel. Limited in-app safety controls or quick assistance options during long or late-night trips.

Students who need quick, reliable, and affordable cab services for campus and beyond.Universities can promote safer, more punctual transportation options, improving student satisfaction and safety.Community ensures equitable access to transportation, especially for students in remote or underserved areas.Service providers ride-hailing companies can expand their market by offering specialized campus services.

I want to improve student safety, punctuality, and affordability. As a dayscholar student, I face these transportation challenges . It often takes a long time for cabs to arrive, especially when I need to travel long distances to and from campus. During peak hours or late at night, the wait times become even longer. Because of these ongoing experiences, I understand how frustrating and inconvenient it can be to rely on current ride services that aren’t tailored to students’ needs. I want a solution that makes booking a cab faster, more reliable, and affordable I believe fixing it will make a real difference for students like me every day.

To address these issues, I envision developing a dedicated EazyMobility app or integrating specialized features within existing ride-hailing platforms that prioritize quick and reliable booking for students. The app would include options for pre-scheduling long-distance rides in advance, ensuring students can plan their trips without last-minute delays. It would also utilize optimized dispatch algorithms to reduce wait times, especially during peak hours or for remote areas. Real-time tracking and live updates would keep students informed about their cab’s location and estimated arrival time, providing peace of mind. Additionally, safety features like emergency buttons, driver verification, and in-ride alerts would enhance security during late-night or long-distance trips. To make these rides affordable, the platform could offer campus-specific discounts or subsidies, making reliable transportation accessible to all students. Partnering with ride-hailing companies, local transit authorities, and campus organizations would further ensure the service is dependable, cost-effective, and tailored to the unique needs of students.

Staying hydrated is essential, but students, athletes, and travelers often struggle to get water at their preferred temperature when they need it the most. Traditional insulated bottles only maintain temperature, but they do not actively heat or cool water. Existing smart bottles in the market focus mainly on heating, leaving a clear gap for people who also need chilled water on hot days. Carrying separate devices for heating and cooling is impractical and not portable.

The ThermoSmart Bottle addresses this gap by offering a dual-function portable solution. With just a button press, the user can either heat water up to around 60°C (ideal for tea, coffee, or warm drinking water) or cool it down to 10–15°C (refreshing during summers). The bottle is powered by a rechargeable battery with a USB-C port and comes with an optional solar-powered lid, making it eco-friendly. A smart LED display indicates temperature mode (red for heating, blue for cooling), and safety features like auto shut-off and child lock ensure reliable usage.

The benefits of this product extend to multiple groups. Students rushing between classes can enjoy warm or cold water without waiting. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts can rehydrate at the right temperature during training. Office-goers can save time by skipping kettles and coolers, while travelers gain the freedom to carry a compact, all-in-one hydration solution. In short, it adapts to different lifestyles and supports healthy hydration habits in all seasons.

This problem matters to me personally because I often carry a regular bottle to campus, and the water rarely suits the weather—too hot in summer, or too cold in winter. Having a portable bottle that adjusts water temperature instantly would make life easier, healthier, and more convenient. The ThermoSmart Bottle is therefore not just a product but an innovative solution that bridges a clear gap in the market and makes hydration smarter, sustainable, and user-friendly.

By bridging the gap between heating-only bottles and bulky appliances, ThermoSmart aims to become a practical, sustainable, and innovative everyday companion. From a technical perspective, the ThermoSmart Bottle combines a miniature heating coil at the base of the bottle for warming and a thermoelectric Peltier module for cooling. These components are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, supported by stainless-steel double-wall insulation to minimize energy loss. The thermostat regulates heating to prevent overheating, while an external heat sink ensures effective cooling. This design makes the bottle efficient, safe, and portable for everyday use.

SkillFusion – Fast-Track Reskilling for Migrants

Every year, we see millions of refugees and migrants arrive in new countries wherein, many are graduates, skilled professionals, and experienced workers. Yet, they are forced into unskilled jobs that don’t pay their skill worth and some even face homelessness. This isn’t because they lack ability, but because their degrees aren’t recognized, they don’t know the language, and they are unfamiliar with local systems.

Meanwhile, host countries themselves face critical shortages of skilled hiring in healthcare, construction, and education.

Why this is different from the usual NGO’s and why this idea matters:

Existing programs, usually run by NGOs, focus on generic language or vocational training. These too broad, too slow, and disconnected from what actual employers looking at when they are hiring. A lot of migrants complete courses but remain underemployed.

Governments spend heavily on welfare, but this often perpetuates dependency rather than creating pathways to independence, leading to a vicious cycle for the whole society.

Who benefits from this?

• Migrants: Access short, targeted reskilling (2–8 weeks) that bridges their already existing skills to local job requirements. They can pay a small deferred fee once they begin earning.

• Employers: Pay subscription and placement fees for direct access to pre-certified, job-ready workers — saving time and recruitment costs.

• Governments: Partner with SkillFusion because it reduces welfare dependency, strengthens social integration, and costs less than long-term subsidies.

• Communities: Gain from lower unemployment, stronger economies, and smoother social harmony.

Why this matters:

I believe no nurse, teacher, or engineer should be invisible in society. It helps migrants and refugees, get better placed in foreign soil, where they can lead their lives with dignity and independence.

It also helps foster an overall virtuous cycle in society as a whole where: reduced unemployment and social care reliance → stronger economies → healthier communities → more opportunities for everyone. Instead of a cycle of poverty and dependence, we build a future of contribution and belonging.

Technical details
SkillFusion combines language + cultural training + micro-certifications with employer-backed curricula. Revenue is generated through employer fees, government contracts, and affordable deferred payments by migrants. Unlike NGOs, it is sustainable, scalable, and designed for long-term impact.

AgroLink - A Smart Autonomous Greenhouse

Problem it Solves:
Farmers in India often struggle with problems like pest attacks, low crop yields, unpredictable weather, and inefficient use of water. Most of the farming happens in open fields where there is no way to monitor soil health, temperature, or humidity in real time. As a result, farmers end up wasting resources and getting lower productivity than they should.

Current Market Gap:
Although some high-value crops are grown in greenhouses, most of these greenhouses aren’t fully automated or connected to smart sensors. Many of the existing solutions are expensive and not practical for small or medium scale farmers. What is really missing is an affordable, easy to use system that helps farmers monitor their crops and manage care automatically in real time.

My Solution:
A Smart Greenhouse System that uses various sensors to automatically track important factors like soil moisture, pH level, temperature, humidity, light, and rainfall. The system takes care of irrigation on its own and sends instant alerts to the farmer’s phone if something’s wrong. For example, if the soil gets too dry or there’s a risk of pests. This helps farmers grow healthier crops, increase yield, save water, and avoid pests, all without having to manually check everything all the time.

Who Benefits:
This system is especially helpful for small and medium scale farmers, making their work much easier and more efficient. It saves time and effort by automating watering and giving real time updates about the soil and environment. As a result, farmers get better crop yields, use less water, and waste fewer resources. On a larger scale, it helps the environment by cutting down water waste and overuse of chemicals, and supports the community by promoting sustainable farming and a more stable food supply.

Business Model:
We sell affordable Smart Greenhouse Systems to small and medium farmers, offering easy installation and a low-cost subscription for real-time monitoring and automatic updates. This helps farmers improve crop yield while saving time and resources.

Why This Matters to Me:
I want to help farmers deal with the problems of unpredictable weather and outdated manual farming methods by introducing simple, smart technology that boosts productivity and makes farming sustainable in the long run.

Traffic congestion is one of the most persistent urban challenges, costing billions in lost productivity, wasted fuel, and increased emissions. Current solutions—like static traffic signals, Google Maps rerouting, or government-built flyovers—are either reactive, limited in scope, or expensive to scale. Navigation apps provide route guidance for individuals, but they lack a holistic view of city-wide traffic flow. Similarly, government initiatives like adaptive signals are siloed, often failing to integrate diverse real-world data such as weather, school timings, road events, or public transport schedules. This fragmented approach leaves a massive gap: the absence of a unified, intelligent, and dynamic traffic management system.

AITO fills this gap by functioning as a full-stack platform that integrates real-time data from multiple sources—GPS, weather APIs, city infrastructure sensors, and even public event schedules. Using AI and machine learning, AITO predicts congestion before it happens and proactively reroutes vehicles. Unlike existing tools that optimize for a single driver, AITO optimizes traffic flow at the ecosystem level, ensuring smoother city mobility, reduced emissions, and higher road safety.

The beneficiaries are wide-ranging: commuters save time, logistics companies cut fuel costs, cities reduce pollution, and governments avoid massive infrastructure spending. Communities benefit from safer, more breathable, and less chaotic urban spaces.

This problem matters to me because traffic inefficiency directly impacts everyday life in Indian cities. I’ve seen first-hand how a 20-minute commute can become 90 minutes due to poor coordination and lack of predictive systems. Solving this means not just easing individual frustration, but transforming urban mobility for millions

Air pollution and rising CO₂ levels are among the most urgent crises facing humanity today. More than 7 million people die annually from polluted air, costing the global economy $8.1 trillion each year in healthcare and productivity losses. Over 90% of the world’s population breathes unsafe air, while indoor air is often 2 to 5 times more polluted due to VOCs and poor ventilation. At the same time, CO₂ levels rise by approximately 2.4 ppm per year, fueling global warming and extreme weather. By 2050, 68% of people will live in cities, dominated by lifeless walls of concrete and glass that currently do nothing to combat pollution. Existing solutions struggle carbon capture plants cost $500 to $600 per ton of CO₂ removed, green walls are 10 to 50x more expensive per m² than paint, and air purifiers work only indoors. Despite billions invested in climate technologies, one obvious opportunity is overlooked the walls around us.

EcoVeil is a revolutionary paint that transforms ordinary walls into air-cleaning, CO₂-absorbing surfaces. Using a blend of photocatalytic compounds like titanium dioxide and carbon-mineralizing additives, EcoVeil actively removes CO₂, breaks down harmful gases such as NOx and VOCs, and purifies the air indoors and outdoors. Unlike green facades or carbon capture machines, EcoVeil is affordable, scalable, and easy to apply it turns every building into a micro air purifier, making cities healthier without requiring new infrastructure. Importantly, EcoVeil also incorporates smart regulation technology to prevent over absorption of CO₂, ensuring balance and avoiding unintended risks such as destabilizing microclimates or interfering with natural plant-based absorption cycles.

Market Gaps:

  • Green walls/gardens: beautiful, but too expensive and limited in scope.
  • Air purifiers: work indoors only, have no effect on city air.
  • Carbon capture plants: centralized, costly, decades away from scale.
  • Eco-friendly paints: low-VOC but passive they don’t clean or protect the atmosphere.
  • EcoVeil fills this gap by combining the accessibility of paint with climate-tech power, making it cheap, scalable, and easy to adopt.

Who Benefits And Business Model:

  • Homeowners & Small Businesses (B2C): Fresher air, healthier homes, eco-conscious lifestyle.
  • Revenue Model: Retail paint cans sold through hardware stores & e-commerce.
  • Real Estate Developers & Builders (B2B): Sustainability certifications, higher property value, lower carbon footprint.
  • Revenue Model: Bulk sales, long-term contracts with construction firms.
  • Governments, Schools, Hospitals, Smart Cities: Meet climate targets, reduce healthcare costs, improve citizen health.
  • Revenue Model: Public-private partnerships, government subsidies, ESG-driven contracts.
  • Communities at large: Cleaner air, cooler cities, healthier lives.
  • Impact Model: Indirect benefit strengthens EcoVeil’s social license and brand power.

EcoVeil earns revenue from B2C retail sales, B2B partnerships, and government sustainability programs, creating a multi-channel income stream while scaling climate impact.

Why this matters?

As citizens, this matters to us because air is the one thing we cannot avoid we breathe it every moment of our lives. Yet 90% of people worldwide are forced to inhale unsafe air, and millions die each year because of something as basic as breathing. We cannot escape it, no matter where we live or who we are. This should concern every one of us, because clean air is not a privilege it is a shared right and a shared responsibility. EcoVeil matters because it gives us, the people, a way to to turn ordinary walls into shields, to protect our families and communities.

Unique Edge:

EcoVeil doesn’t just cover walls it activates them. Where traditional paints only beautify, EcoVeil adds an invisible layer of protection for people and the planet. It is a fusion of design, health, and sustainability, offering a low cost, high impact solution that could scale to millions of square meters worldwide.

“EcoVeil is more than paint it’s invisible armor for the planet. With every brushstroke, we transform dead walls into living climate solutions. Clean air, cooler cities, healthier lives one coat at a time.”

In most cities, food waste and hunger exist side by side. Hotels and restaurants often throw away large quantities of edible food, while many homeless people, orphanages, and shelters struggle to find enough meals. The idea for this app is to create a platform that bridges this gap by connecting drivers, food donors, and recipients in a seamless, data-driven way.

The app would work by allowing hotels, restaurants, and even households to quickly notify when they have surplus food available. Auto drivers, cab drivers, and bike riders connected to the app would receive alerts about nearby pickup requests. Once a driver accepts, the app automatically assigns a drop-off point by analyzing real-time data about homeless clusters, orphanages, or shelters that are most in need at that moment. This ensures that food doesn’t just get delivered somewhere random, it reaches the people who need it most.

The platform benefits everyone involved. Donors get an easy and transparent way to give away excess food instead of wasting it. Drivers earn extra income by handling these deliveries, turning their downtime into meaningful work. Most importantly, people in need get access to meals that would otherwise have gone to waste. The app also allows donors to track where their contribution was delivered, building trust and accountability.

The business model could combine several revenue streams. A small commission could be added to each delivery, while restaurants and hotels could opt for monthly subscription plans to list unlimited surplus food. Companies could also sponsor rides as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts, and individuals might have the option to sponsor a delivery with a small donation. Over time, this could evolve into a sustainable ecosystem where feeding the hungry is supported by multiple stakeholders.

A key strength of the idea lies in the data collected. By tracking which areas consistently face food shortages and when, the app can provide valuable insights for NGOs and governments to plan interventions. It could highlight patterns, such as certain orphanages running short on weekends or specific areas where the homeless population spikes. This transforms the app from just a delivery system into a hunger intelligence platform that supports long-term solutions.

The potential for expansion is also strong. Future versions could integrate with government food banks, use AI to predict demand in shelters, or even branch into safe redistribution of unused medicines. Drivers could also be rewarded with recognition or incentives for consistent participation, strengthening the community-driven aspect of the initiative.

At its core, this business idea is not only about solving a logistical problem but about creating a meaningful social impact. By turning everyday drivers into agents of change and channeling surplus food to those who need it, the app ensures that fewer plates go to waste and fewer people go to sleep hungry. It combines technology, community, and compassion into a system that is practical, scalable, and impactful.

The Problem:

We don’t lack dustbins in India, we lack motivation to use them. In India, a significant challenge in waste management is public behavior. Despite widespread awareness, many people are still hesitant to use dustbins, leading to litter and unhygienic environments. The core issue is a lack of immediate, personal incentive. We often expect people to do the right thing for a collective good, but that's not always enough to change a deeply ingrained habit.

The Solution:

My project aims to solve this problem by introducing a "Give and Take" system. It is a smart dustbin that uses a simple, immediate reward to incentivize proper waste disposal. For every piece of trash thrown into the bin, the user receives a small, tangible reward in return. In short: throw trash → get a treat.

This approach taps into a fundamental human principle, turning a civic duty into a rewarding action.

Why My Solution is Innovative:

While a few initiatives have explored rewarding people for recycling, they often rely on complex, cumbersome systems. My solution is unique because of its simplicity and focus on direct behavioral change.

Instant Gratification: This system offers an instant, physical reward, making it a powerful psychological tool for creating a new, positive habit.

Universal Appeal: My solution is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or digital literacy. The dustbin can have simple buttons to choose a reward that fits the user. A child could get a sticker, a teen/adult could receive a QR code for a discount or free Wi-Fi (via coupon codes linked to existing public hotspots or partner cafés, not direct Wi-Fi from the bin itself), and an elderly person could get a simple, paper-based coupon for a local shop or a voucher for a nearby tea stall. Unlike apps or point systems, this doesn’t require smartphones, literacy, or bank accounts. It’s inclusive by design.

Practical and Scalable: The solution avoids the logistical complexity of cash or bank transfers. It is a cost-effective and easy-to-maintain mechanical system that can be scaled across cities and public spaces.

Addressing Potential Concerns:

This project is a social innovation that uses a simple, elegant solution to solve a significant, real-world problem. While there may be initial concerns about cost and maintenance, the long-term benefits in public health and sanitation far outweigh the investment. My design uses low-cost components to make it economically viable and a simple sensor system to prevent misuse. Even if one dustbin prevents 100 wrappers from being littered daily, imagine the impact when scaled across parks, stations, and schools. The rewards are a direct catalyst for positive behavior, making this more than a product, it's a tool for social change.

The Vision:

This project isn’t just a dustbin, it’s a step toward reprogramming habits and creating a culture where cleanliness feels rewarding.

Have you ever wanted to play a sport like badminton or football but just couldn’t find anyone to play with? That’s exactly the problem my app aims to solve. The frustration usually comes when you’re all geared up, full of energy, and ready to hit the court or the field, only to realize you’ve got no one to join you. And let’s be real, nothing kills the excitement faster than showing up to play and ending up standing around with no game.

The main idea is simple: connect people through sports, both indoor and outdoor, and make it super easy to find others to play with instead of going solo. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick badminton rally, a last-minute football kickabout, or even a friendly game of table tennis, the app helps remove the friction that usually gets in the way. No endless group chats, no waiting for friends to be free, all you need to do is just open the app, put yourself out there, and find someone ready to play.

Unlike many apps that try to do a bit of everything like venue booking, fitness tracking, skill coaching, this one keeps its focus crystal clear: helping you find players nearby, fast. Those other apps can feel cluttered or even overwhelming, especially when all you want is a partner or team to play with. By narrowing it down to the actual people, this app gets straight to the point. Think of it like skipping the admin and jumping straight to the fun part: the game itself.

Right now, the market is full of apps where you can book courts or arenas, but oddly enough, there aren’t many that help you connect with actual players. Imagine successfully booking the perfect court only to realize you’ve got no opponent or team ready, it’s discouraging and honestly a waste of effort. This app bridges the gap that others overlook: making sure the social side of sports, the people you need to play with, is never missing.

It’s basically for anyone who loves being active but doesn’t always have a group or partner handy. Maybe you’re new in the city, maybe your usual buddies couldn’t make it, or maybe you just decided last minute that you want to play. Either way, it gives you a quick, reliable way to match up with someone just like you.

For me, this problem is personal. I’ve lost count of the times I wanted to play badminton, racket ready, energy high but ended up walking away frustrated because nobody was free. That experience shaped the whole vision: you shouldn’t miss out on the game just because you couldn’t find a player.

Using location and preference filters, the app keeps things simple. Just pick your sport, set your availability, and connect with others nearby who want the same thing. No noise, no distractions, only players ready to play.

DrainSmart: Clear Roads, Safe Travels

Waterlogging during rains is a regular issue in cities, towns, and even college campuses. Roads are unusable, traffic is slowed down, and at times filthy drain water flows into residential premises. The current solution for this is largely reactive—residents complain, and municipal workers come with diesel pumps or clear blockages manually. This process is slow, labor-intensive, and gives only a temporary solution.

My plan is to establish a Smart Drainage System with IoT sensors, smart pumps, and smart valves that stop the water from accumulating. Ultrasonic water level sensors and flow sensors can be placed within drain manholes, securely mounted so as not to be swept away by high flow. The sensors constantly keep track of the water level and sense potential clogs. The information is relayed to a controller (ex: Raspberry Pi). If water reaches a risk level, the controller automatically turns on an electric pump via a relay or contactor.

Moreover, smart gates/valves can be placed strategically at key points. Upon detection of heavy flow, the valves divert water to safe destinations like tanks, ponds, or green areas to save vulnerable spots such as residential roads, schools, and hospitals from flooding. This strategy makes use of both pumping and diversion for optimal use.

This solution is advantageous for:

  • residents (safer roads, reduced flooding)
  • municipalities (quicker response, lower costs)
  • environment (reduced usage of diesel pumps, potential reuse of rainwater).

Some cities like Hong Kong, Jakarta, and the UK have already experimented with smart drainage and flood control systems, but if adopted also in india, such solutions could greatly reduce waterlogging problems globally.

This issue concerns me because I always find it extremely challenging to go out during rains because of waterlogging. I hope this solution can make traveling safer, reduce accidents and more comfortable.

With the help of smart drainage, we can turn rainy days from being a problem into just another part of everyday life.

group expense optimizer

Group expense management is an everyday real-life issue for students, roommates, and young professionals alike. Whether splitting a bill for takeout, sharing a taxi, or purchasing shared groceries, uncertainty exists regarding who paid, how much to divide, and if the group made the best financial choice. Current solutions such as Splitwise only split and track after the expense has been incurred. They don't address the underlying problem: groups overspend because they don't know the lowest cost before buying.

This is where the Group Expense Optimizer enters the picture. Unlike conventional expense trackers, this application addresses the problem of overspending. It operates by assisting groups in making better money-related choices in real time. For instance, if five friends are willing to order dinner, the app cross-compares food delivery websites and suggests the lowest cost for the entire group. If roommates require grocery shopping, it suggests bulk purchase offers or stores within reach with offers. For travel, it computes whether two small taxis or a single large taxi saves them more per head.

Who stands to gain?
• Users: Students, young professionals, and families who regularly split expenses.
• Buyers: Budget-conscious groups who want to save money and reduce disputes.
• Community: Promotes financial awareness and smarter collective spending.

Why it matters to me: As a student, I’ve experienced first-hand how small daily overspending adds up, and how unclear expense-sharing often leads to awkwardness in friendships. A tool like this reduces stress, builds trust, and ensures fairness.

Technical details:
The MVP may be a minimal web or mobile application where users enter group size, budget, and expense type. Based on price comparison APIs, crowdsourced information, and simple algorithms, it automatically presents the most cost-effective solution. Additional future capabilities may include auto-split UPI payments, AI-driven spending analysis, and reminders for recurring group expenses.

This idea represents a typical real-life issue, is filling a tangible market need, and generates tangible value for users.

Idea Post :

Many university students struggle with maintaining a balanced diet due to limited cooking skills, tight schedules, and budget constraints. Current food delivery apps only solve convenience, but not nutrition or cost optimization. As a result, students either overspend on junk food or compromise their health with irregular eating habits.

Smart MealMate is an AI-powered mobile application that helps students generate personalized, affordable, and nutritionally balanced weekly meal plans. Unlike existing apps, it integrates three unique features:

1.Personalized Nutrition: Students input their dietary preferences, allergies, fitness goals, and budget. The AI then suggests optimized meal plans.

2.Cost Efficiency: The app uses local grocery data and hostel/nearby mess menus to recommend the most cost-effective choices.

3.Sustainability: It minimizes food waste by tracking available ingredients and suggesting recipes accordingly.

Who Benefits?

Students: Save money, eat healthier, and reduce stress about food choices.

Parents: Peace of mind that their children are eating balanced meals.

Campus communities: Promotes healthier lifestyles and reduces food waste.

This problem matters to me because, as a student, I often notice peers skipping meals or relying on fast food, which affects both their health and productivity. By addressing this gap, Smart MealMate can empower students to take control of their nutrition while staying within budget.

THE PROBLEM

A key challenge today is our dependence on non-renewable energy. Despite the existence of renewables like solar and wind, we need new solutions that are both sustainable and integrate effortlessly into daily routines to meet growing energy needs.

A promising concept to solve this problem is the use of piezoelectric walkways. These walkways are made of tiles embedded with piezoelectric materials that convert mechanical pressure into electrical energy.

Every step generates electricity, which can be stored in batteries or used directly to power small systems, such as pathway lights, sensors, or display boards.

This concept stands out for its simplicity: walking is a universal and effortless activity. When implemented in high foot-traffic areas—such as metro stations, stadiums, malls, or university campuses—the combined footsteps of thousands can generate significant renewable energy, illustrating a practical application of innovation in everyday life.

CURRENT GAP

This technology has been piloted successfully in countries like Japan and the UK, but in India, it has not moved beyond research labs and small-scale prototypes.

Piezoelectric walkways are a brilliant idea because they address energy consumption simply and effectively. Yet, despite their potential, they have not received the recognition or usage they deserve. Most people are unaware of this technology, and it has not been widely adopted, especially in India.

MAIN PROBLEM

So, the main problem that needs to be solved is that, despite its proven effectiveness, piezoelectric walkways have not been implemented on a wide scale in India.

THE SOLUTION – WHERE WE STEP IN

Our goal is to bring this idea into the public eye and show how simple and effective it is. By raising awareness, we can encourage wider adoption in high-footfall areas such as malls, colleges, stadiums, and metro stations.

We propose starting with small collaborations in spaces that naturally attract large crowds. By partnering with large-scale manufacturers of piezoelectric devices, institutions can implement these walkways without developing the technology themselves.

Why Institutions Will Be Interested?

Institutions stepping forward for collaboration stand to gain several key benefits:

1. Energy Generation and Cost Savings: Electricity generated can power lights, displays, or small systems, reducing energy bills and reliance on conventional power.
2. Branding and Marketing Opportunities: Installing futuristic, sustainable technology positions institutions as environmentally conscious and forward-thinking, generating media coverage, recognition, and public attention.

Raising Awareness and Educating Visitors
Most importantly, piezoelectric walkways help bring awareness about sustainable energy to the public. They can fascinate and educate visitors through interactive features—for example, colourful lights that react to footsteps. This makes the walkway visually engaging, fun, and educational, showing in real time how everyday actions like walking can generate renewable energy. By combining interaction with learning, these walkways not only attract attention but also inspire people to think about sustainability in their daily lives.

CONCLUSION:

Piezoelectric walkways create a win-win situation:

* Generate renewable energy
* Enhance branding and marketing for institutions.
* Most importantly, raise public awareness about sustainable energy.

By combining innovation with visibility, this idea can transform everyday footsteps into a powerful tool for sustainability.
