For many gym enthusiasts, one of the biggest struggles is maintaining proper protein intake. While commercial protein powders and bars are available, they are often very expensive, sometimes adulterated, and not personalized to an individual’s needs. Beginners in particular either consume too little protein, slowing down progress, or overconsume without understanding their body’s requirements. This creates both a health risk and a financial burden.

My idea is to launch an Affordable Customized Protein Subscription Service designed for students, young professionals, and fitness beginners. The service would assess each user’s fitness goal (bulking, cutting, or maintaining), body weight, and dietary preference (vegetarian, vegan, or non-veg) to prepare a tailored monthly protein plan. Instead of relying only on costly powders, the packs would combine natural, budget-friendly sources such as roasted chickpeas, protein laddoos, oats mixes, peanut butter sachets, and affordable whey blends.

A companion mobile app could help users track their daily protein intake, suggest meal ideas using the provided products, and send reminders to stay consistent. This model would not only make protein nutrition more accessible but also support local suppliers and small food businesses.

MealMatch

1. My idea: MealMatch

Problem it Solves: Students often struggle with meal planning and eating healthy on a budget. Many end up skipping meals, relying on fast food, or wasting groceries because they can’t finish everything they buy.

Current Market Gap: Food delivery apps focus on convenience but are expensive for daily use. Grocery delivery platforms don’t solve the problem of food waste or planning. What’s missing is a student-friendly platform that balances affordability, nutrition, and convenience.

My Solution: A Smart Meal-Sharing and Planning App for students:

  • Community Cook-ups: Students nearby can share home-cooked meals or batch-cook together.

  • Leftover Exchange: Post extra portions so others can claim instead of wasting food.

  • Meal Planner + Budgeting Tool: Suggests weekly affordable, healthy meal plans based on local grocery prices.

  • Nutrition Focus: AI-suggested meals that meet calorie/protein needs for active students.

Who Benefits:

  • Students → affordable, healthier meals, less wastage.

  • Parents → assurance their kids eat properly.

  • Campus Community → stronger bonding over shared meals, reduced food waste.

Business Model:

  • Pilot: Free app with basic features.

  • Scale-up: Small service fee/commission on shared meals.

  • Premium: Meal-prep subscriptions, curated diet plans, discounts with local grocery shops.

Why This Matters to Me: I’ve seen so many students and also myself either waste money on food delivery or struggle with cooking alone. This creates a way to eat healthier, better, cheaper, and together.

Nutrigram- The Instagram of Fitness

NutriGram: Your one-stop platform for a balanced and fit life

India has alot of protein deficient people, 73% of the population(almos 100 crore people are protein deficient), and 70% of them don't even know it. For a healthy person, around 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight is needed, for someone who weighs 50 kg, they need 50 g of protein a day. Yet the average Indian gets only about 20 g daily which is way too low.

NutriGram is here to change that. Think of it as the Instagram of fitness and nutrition-a single place where you can get everything you need to live healthier, more balanced lives. Just input your weight, age, height, and activity level, and our AI-driven bot creates a personalized week- or month-long meal plan that balances variety, nutrition, and flavor.

What Sets NutriGram Apart?

- Unlike generic diet AI apps, NutriGram accounts for location, cultural traditions, and budget. For example, beef isn't popular in India, many people are vegetarians, and chicken or whey can be costly or impractical on a daily basis.

- NutriGram tailors diets to local availability and food preferences so you don't have to adopt unrealistic eating habits.

- We don't replace the foods you eat but we adapt and optimize your existing eating habits to make them more nutritious.

Features We Provide

- Location-based meal personalization with budget-friendly swaps.

- Several meal plans for various budgets.

- Recipe book with simple cooking options.

- Meal timers and reminders so you never miss out on nutrition.

- Smart food substitutions (e.g., Coke → Diet Coke, watermelon juice → watermelon slices).

- Budget-friendly comparisons (e.g., 100 g chicken breast = 30 g protein for ₹150 vs. 5 eggs = 30 g protein for ₹25).

Why This Matters to Me

As a regular gym-goer, I spent years trying to get enough protein. I learned about protein quality, amino acid profiles, and balanced eating, and I even taught my own household how to boost nutrition with simple, low-cost protein foods like eggs and whey. That experience inspired me to build a solution that's cost-effective, convenient, and educational-so everyone, from students and parents to rural families, can experience better health.

Who Benefits?

- Low-income families and rural areas.

- Working professionals juggling hectic schedules.

- Children, mothers, and the elderly who often skip protein.

NutriGram isn't just an app-it's a movement against India's protein deficiency, one meal at a time.

One of the biggest struggles people face today is understanding what’s really on their plate. Whether it’s someone trying to lose weight, a gym-goer tracking protein, or a person managing diabetes, the lack of convenient, accurate nutrition tracking makes the journey frustrating. Current apps like MyFitnessPal or HealthifyMe require manual searching and logging, which is not only time-consuming but also error-prone—most users give up after a few weeks.

NutriSnap solves this by making nutrition tracking as simple as snapping a photo. Using advanced AI and computer vision, the app instantly analyzes any meal (home-cooked or restaurant food) and provides:

  • Calories and macros (protein, carbs, fats, fiber)
  • Portion size estimation
  • Ingredient breakdown (useful for allergies and restrictions)
  • A “health score” that explains whether the meal is balanced or needs tweaks

Beyond tracking, NutriSnap gives personalized recommendations—for example, suggesting how to increase protein intake or balance sugar levels. It integrates with fitness trackers and wearables, so users can see the bigger picture: calories consumed vs. calories burned. Gamification (streaks, challenges with friends) keeps users motivated, while partnerships with gyms, nutritionists, and food delivery apps create a scalable business model.

The target users include health-conscious individuals, fitness enthusiasts, people with medical dietary needs, and even professionals like dieticians who can use the tool to help clients. Communities benefit too—by making health awareness accessible, NutriSnap can help combat rising lifestyle diseases like obesity, diabetes, and heart conditions.

This idea matters to me because I’ve seen how confusing and discouraging diet tracking can be. People want to be healthier, but the friction of manual tracking becomes a barrier. With NutriSnap, nutrition awareness becomes effortless, accurate, and empowering—like having a personal diet coach in your pocket.

Kairo – Smart Water Bottle

One of the biggest silent problems we face in everyday life is dehydration. Students in classrooms, professionals in offices, and even athletes often forget to drink enough water until they feel tired, dizzy, or unproductive. The current solutions are basic, regular bottles or phone reminders that don’t adapt to people’s lifestyle, activity, or environment. That’s where my idea of Kairo was born.

Kairo is a smart water bottle that not only stores water but actively keeps track and takes care of your hydration. The bottle has built in sensors to track how much water you’ve consumed throughout the day. If you haven’t had a sip in a while, it gently glows and vibrates as a reminder. Unlike fixed timer reminders, Kairo connects to a small companion app that considers your activity level, the weather, and even your personal hydration goals. For example, if you are going for a run on a hot day, it will remind you more frequently, but if you are resting indoors, it adjusts automatically.

Technically, it could use a flow sensor to measure water intake, a rechargeable battery, and Bluetooth to connect to the Kairo app. The glowing alert can run on efficient LED lights, and the vibration motor can be as small as those in fitness bands.

The benefits have the potential to reach multiple groups of people:

-Students and professionals can stay focused and energised.

-Athletes can maintain performance and avoid fatigue.

-Healthcare systems benefit since dehydration-related issues decrease.

-Even families with children or elderly members can ensure better daily hydration.

This idea matters to me because I’ve personally experienced days of fatigue and headaches only to realise I hadn’t drunk enough water. If a simple but smart bottle like Kairo can change that, it can improve daily life, health, and productivity for millions.

ReFit: AI-Powered Fitness & Rehab App for Students

Staying healthy is tough for students balancing classes, projects, and personal goals. Gym memberships and personal trainers are often expensive, and most fitness apps are designed for advanced users or require costly wearables. On the other hand, students dealing with injuries (like shoulder or knee issues) often don’t have easy access to physiotherapy guidance.

My idea is to create an AI-powered fitness and rehab app designed specifically for students and young professionals in India. Using just a smartphone camera, the app would:

  • Track workouts in real-time with OpenCV/ML to analyze posture, reps, and form.

  • Offer personalized fitness plans for fat loss, muscle gain, or rehab (like shoulder mobility).

  • Recommend low-cost diet options tailored to the user's food preferences.

  • Provide AI-driven corrections (e.g., “your back isn’t straight during push-ups”).

  • Include a community feature where users can challenge friends or join college fitness groups for motivation.

This directly benefits students and budget-conscious individuals who want guided training without paying for gyms, trainers, or expensive devices. It also helps those recovering from injuries by giving safe, guided rehab exercises.

This problem matters to me because I’m currently in rehab, dealing with a shoulder issue. I know how important it is to have the right guidance without spending a fortune. By combining my CS skills, interest in AI/ML, and personal fitness experience, I want to create a tool that makes health and recovery accessible to everyone.

FitSlot: Smarter Gym Time Management

One of the most common frustrations for students is the overcrowded campus gym. Many of us have experienced walking in ready to work out, only to find every machine occupied and a long line of people waiting. This not only wastes time but also discourages students from maintaining a consistent fitness routine.

That’s where FitSlot comes in ,a web-based system that allows students to book workout slots in advance, ensuring fair and efficient access to gym facilities.

How it Works:

  • Slot Booking: Students log in to the FitSlot website and select a preferred workout time (e.g., 1-hour blocks). Slots are limited to the gym’s capacity to prevent overcrowding.

  • Fair Access: Each student can only book one slot per day (or per time window), ensuring everyone gets a chance to use the gym.

  • Smart Reminders: The system sends notifications before the booked slot starts.

  • Monitoring System: A check-in/check-out system at the gym entrance tracks usage. When a student’s reserved time ends, the system alerts them politely, freeing up equipment for the next group.

  • Analytics for Management: Gym admins get usage data (peak hours, no-shows, demand trends) to improve scheduling, staffing, and equipment planning.

Who Benefits?

  • Students: No more waiting around or wasting time; everyone gets a fair chance to work out.

  • University: Improved gym management, reduced chaos, and healthier student engagement.

  • Campus Community: Promotes fitness, reduces stress, and ensures fairness across the student body.

Why it Matters to Me

I’ve often gone to the gym only to wait endlessly for equipment or leave frustrated without working out. With FitSlot, students can plan ahead, save time, and stay consistent in their fitness goals. A fair slot system will transform the gym experience from stressful to seamless.

Problem :

Meal planning is often the overlooked barrier to healthier living. In India, diets are carb-heavy with limited protein, leaving many unable to meet their health or fitness goals. Professional nutritionists are costly, while online plans are generic, jargon-filled, and disconnected from individual lifestyles. Many working professionals/students often neglect caring for their diet as it feels tedious and cumbersome to research and create meal plans that work for them. This creates demand for a personalized, affordable, and adaptable nutrition solutions.

Nutrionist Costs (For Reference) :

India :

  • One-time consultation: ₹500 – ₹2,000Monthly plan: ₹4,500 – ₹10,500
  • 6-month plan: ₹20,500+
  • Specialized diet/medical support: ₹15,000+ per month

Global (US / Europe) :

  • Per consultation: $50 – $200+
  • Ongoing specialized programs: $200+ per month

Key Pain Point :

Costs are too high for the average consumer, making personalized nutrition guidance inaccessible to most households.

Solution :

PlanMyMeal is an adaptive meal planning platform built on machine learning and nutrition science. It creates meal plans based on each user’s body, lifestyle, and food preferences.

How It Works :

Users begin by entering weight, height, gender, age, activity level (hours of exercise per week), and lifestyle habits such as smoking or drinking frequency. The system calculates Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) to set accurate calorie and macronutrient targets.

  • Ingredient-Based Planning: Upload available ingredients, choose meal frequency, cuisine preference (Indian, Mediterranean, Vegan, etc.), health conditions, and allergen info (gluten, dairy, nuts). The engine designs meals around what’s on hand.

  • Goal & Budget Planning: Enter goals (deficit, bulking, maintenance), cuisine type, allergens, and budget to receive a cost-optimized plan plus grocery list.

  • Optional Health Insights: Users can upload blood test results (e.g., vitamin deficiencies, cholesterol levels), enabling condition-aware meal adjustments.

  • Interactive Chat Editing: An NLP-powered chat box lets users refine plans in real time—“Swap chicken for tofu,” “Add one more snack,” “Make it dairy-free.”

Key Features :

  • Plans based on BMR + TDEE calculations

  • Allergen- and health-condition-aware recommendations

  • Integration of lifestyle habits (smoking, alcohol)

  • Cuisine-specific personalization

  • Optional blood-test-based customization

  • Real-time chat adjustments

  • Built-in calorie + macro tracking

  • Budget-friendly grocery lists

Technical Backbone :

PlanMyMeal combines machine learning models, dietary optimization algorithms, and natural language processing. Data pipelines link nutritional and medical datasets with grocery APIs for real-time cost and nutrition accuracy, all deployed on scalable cloud infrastructure.

Consumers :

  • Health-conscious individuals (weight loss, bulking, maintenance)

  • People with medical conditions (diabetes, PCOS, cholesterol, deficiencies)

  • Busy professionals & students (need simple, affordable plans)

  • Users with dietary restrictions/allergies (vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free)

  • Budget-conscious families (healthy eating without overspending)

  • Fitness industry: Gyms, trainers, wellness apps

  • Healthcare providers: Doctors, clinics, dieticians

  • Grocery & food delivery: Cross-sell shopping lists, meal kits

  • Corporate wellness programs: Employee health initiatives

Why this matters :

As a full-time student, I’ve always struggled to balance health with a rigid timetable. Finding food I actually liked that was also nutritious meant spending hours on YouTube and blogs, piecing together recipes that rarely fit my needs. Like many young people, I don’t have the time to constantly track calories, nutrients, and dietary requirements.

At the same time, I’ve seen people my age develop serious deficiencies like Vitamin B12, often ignoring early signs until it escalates to treatments like weekly IV shots. This gap exists not because they don’t care about health, but because nutrition feels complicated, overwhelming, and inaccessible.

As a picky eater who wants to eat clean, I realized there’s a need for a tool that makes healthy eating simple, personalized, and practical—something that adapts to our lifestyles instead of demanding hours of research and planning.

PlanMyMeal: Nutrition that adapts to your body, lifestyle, and goals.

Have you ever wanted to play a sport like badminton or football but just couldn’t find anyone to play with? That’s exactly the problem my app aims to solve. The frustration usually comes when you’re all geared up, full of energy, and ready to hit the court or the field, only to realize you’ve got no one to join you. And let’s be real, nothing kills the excitement faster than showing up to play and ending up standing around with no game.

The main idea is simple: connect people through sports, both indoor and outdoor, and make it super easy to find others to play with instead of going solo. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick badminton rally, a last-minute football kickabout, or even a friendly game of table tennis, the app helps remove the friction that usually gets in the way. No endless group chats, no waiting for friends to be free, all you need to do is just open the app, put yourself out there, and find someone ready to play.

Unlike many apps that try to do a bit of everything like venue booking, fitness tracking, skill coaching, this one keeps its focus crystal clear: helping you find players nearby, fast. Those other apps can feel cluttered or even overwhelming, especially when all you want is a partner or team to play with. By narrowing it down to the actual people, this app gets straight to the point. Think of it like skipping the admin and jumping straight to the fun part: the game itself.

Right now, the market is full of apps where you can book courts or arenas, but oddly enough, there aren’t many that help you connect with actual players. Imagine successfully booking the perfect court only to realize you’ve got no opponent or team ready, it’s discouraging and honestly a waste of effort. This app bridges the gap that others overlook: making sure the social side of sports, the people you need to play with, is never missing.

It’s basically for anyone who loves being active but doesn’t always have a group or partner handy. Maybe you’re new in the city, maybe your usual buddies couldn’t make it, or maybe you just decided last minute that you want to play. Either way, it gives you a quick, reliable way to match up with someone just like you.

For me, this problem is personal. I’ve lost count of the times I wanted to play badminton, racket ready, energy high but ended up walking away frustrated because nobody was free. That experience shaped the whole vision: you shouldn’t miss out on the game just because you couldn’t find a player.

Using location and preference filters, the app keeps things simple. Just pick your sport, set your availability, and connect with others nearby who want the same thing. No noise, no distractions, only players ready to play.
