HEALTH HIVE

Health Hive - Your One-Stop Digital Healthcare Companion

The Problem:-

Health records are scattered, appointments are missed, and patients often forget to take medicines on time. Managing healthcare becomes stressful, especially for people with chronic conditions, elderly patients, or busy students/professionals. Existing apps usually cover only one part (like fitness or pill reminders), not the whole healthcare journey.

What HealthHive Does:-

HealthHive is an all-in-one healthcare companion app that brings records, reminders, and appointments into one place. It acts as your personal health assistant making healthcare simple, organized, and proactive.

Market Gap HealthHive Bridges

•Current apps are fragmented, some track fitness, some remind medicines, some store reports, but none do it all.

•No quick-access emergency feature for doctors to view critical info instantly.

•Medical records remain scattered across clinics and hospitals.

•Most apps are individual-only, ignoring family health management.

•Very few offer AI-driven preventive care suggestions.

✓ HealthHive unifies all of this into one complete healthcare companion.

Key Features:-

• Unified Health Records -- Upload prescriptions, test reports, and vaccination details with OCR-based auto-extraction.

• Smart Reminders -- Medicine intake alerts, appointment reminders, and refill notifications.

• Doctor Scheduler -- Syncs with calendars, auto-schedules checkups, and sends reminders.

• Emergency Health Card -- A QR code (on phone lock screen) gives doctors your allergies, blood group, and current medications instantly.

• Health Insights -- Tracks progress, trends (e.g., sugar levels, weight, BP logs), and sends preventive health tips.

• Family Dashboard -- Manage health of parents, kids, or dependents in one app.

• Secure Doctor & Family Sharing – Allow users to securely share selected medical records or live updates (like BP logs, sugar levels) with doctors or family members, ensuring better care and support.

Why HealthHive matters:-

• Prevents missed medicines and forgotten appointments.

• Ensures instant access to health records in emergencies.

• Saves time during doctor visits with organized history.

• Helps families care for elderly or children more effectively.

Future Vision:-

• Integration with labs & hospitals for automatic report uploads.

• AI-based preventive care suggestions (“You’ve skipped BP meds 3 times this week, check with doctor”).

• Insurance sync for seamless claims with digital records.

• Wearable integration for real-time vitals.

It is something that every student at some point has encountered: a broken bulb in the corridor, a tap leaking in the hostel, or a projector not functioning during the class. These issues are generally reported slowly as emails go ignored, WhatsApp messages aren't read, and, in many cases, the same complaint must be made repeatedly. This time wasted for both students and facilities personnel leads to issues not being addressed as quickly as they could be.

FixIt Campus is an easy-to-use app that allows maintenance reporting to be a fast process. Students can submit requests by uploading a photo and the exact location of the problem. The system automatically labels the urgency of each one, with higher-priority problems receiving immediate attention. These requests are then delivered directly to the facilities team. Students can follow the progress of their request in real-time, monitoring its status much like a food delivery order.

Solving the problem -

  • Students no longer waste time chasing repairs: FixIt Campus gives them a direct way to report issues and track progress.
  • Facilities staff get clarity instead of confusion: Requests are prioritised automatically, reducing duplicate complaints and helping them resolve the issues more efficiently.
  • Administrators gain valuable insights: Data from FixIt highlights recurring problem areas, enabling smarter planning and better resource allocation.

How It Works -

  1. Submit Request: Students take a photo, select the exact location, and describe the issue.
  2. Auto-Priority Tagging: The system assigns urgency based on the number of requests on the same issue.
  3. Real-Time Tracking: Students can see the progress of their request and an estimated time of when the problem will be fixed.
  4. Analytics Dashboard: Facilities staff and administrators view hotspots, recurring issues, and performance metrics.

Who Benefits?

  • Students: Faster fixes and repairs based on urgency.
  • Facilities staff: Clearer priorities, less confusion and no repeated reports.
  • Administration: Data-driven insights to identify problem areas, which result in better infrastructure.

Re-Mind: The Supply tracker and reminder app

In today’s busy world, people often struggle to keep track of basic household supplies such as- groceries, toiletries or even fuel for vehicles. This causes last minute stress and inconvenient grocery-runs. As a solution to this modern-day problem, I present to you – Re-mind: The supply tracker and reminder app.

How it works:

  • Input data- users enter the items purchased/bills anytime during the month.
  • Groupwise segregation- makes calculations based on which group a user belongs to (eg- student, homemaker, small business).
  • Track usage- based on initial input of the items consumed, an ai model makes an estimate of the longevity of supplies.
  • Periodic reminders- the app tracks usage over time and gives an estimated reminder to restock supplies.
  • Enables reordering- provides already existing sources to reorder supplies based on the bills provided.

Key Features

  • Multi-Category Tracking – Monitors groceries, toiletries, fuel, and other essentials in one app.
  • Usage Analytics – Learns weekly/monthly consumption patterns for smarter predictions.
  • Categorized modes- Helps users according to their requirements (student,
  • Smart Reminders – Notifies users before items run out, customizable by preference.
  • Expense Insights – Dashboard showing monthly spending and usage trends.
  • Easy Reordering – Directly connect to local shops or delivery apps for quick restock.

Gap in the market

70% of households rely on memory or manual lists, causing shortages or waste. Grocery apps enable buying, but none predict usage across multiple categories. A unified, predictive tracker fills this gap, combining analytics, reminders, and reordering into one solution.

Who does it help?

It benefits households, students, professionals, and small businesses by preventing shortages, reducing waste, saving time, and ensuring timely restocking.

Why this problem matters to me?

As a college student living in hostel, I often forget about my stock of supplies- namely toiletries and eatables, thus this tracker would help me manage my supplies and basic monthly expenses.

EpiAware

My idea is an app called EpiAware, designed to make daily life safer and more manageable for people with allergies. The app has three main tools, first, it works as a food scanner that not only reads standard nutrition labels but also warns users about hidden dangers such as cross-contamination from shared production machinery, which can cause serious reactions even when allergens are not listed on the label. Second, it links to a smart EpiPen case that reminds users to carry their device and notifies them when the medication is nearing expiration, ensuring that emergency treatment is always available in time. Third, it features a symptom tracker that allows individuals to manually log allergic reactions, patterns, and possible triggers, creating an organized health record that can be easily shared with doctors to support better diagnoses and treatment plans.

There are apps that do tell people about allergen information however they don’t account for cross-contamination which for highly sensitive individuals can trigger severe reactions requiring emergency care. Some apps can scan food products, others provide reminders, and some allow health note-taking, but no single tool combines all of these critical functions. This gap in the market leaves individuals and families to juggle multiple resources while managing a condition that already causes daily stress. An integrated app would simplify this process and provide more reliable protection.

This idea matters to me personally. As a child, I had allergies and remember how difficult it was for my family to manage. We struggled to identify safe foods, often worried about whether my medication was on hand, and sometimes found it hard to give doctors a clear picture of my symptoms. If an app like this had existed when I was younger, it would have reduced stress, increased safety, and provided reassurance both for me and for my parents. Because of that experience, I strongly believe this solution would make a meaningful difference for other children and families living with allergies, offering them greater confidence, organization, and peace of mind in their daily lives.

Problem:

Depression, loneliness, and anxiety are becoming the biggest silent issues of our generation. More people, especially those in college and twenties, are cutting themselves off from real-world interactions. Existing mental health applications only fixate people to the screens, only handling chats or tracking of mood, but never urging them to step out, socialize, and gain back their self-confidence in real life. On the other hand, traditional therapy and counseling, while highly effective, are often too expensive and inaccessible for most people, creating a huge gap where millions are left without proper support and cut off emotionally from the world.

Working of the application:

During registration, users complete a conversational self-assessment from which the AI pulls data about mood, social comfort, habits, support networks, and individual goals. That data creates a baseline profile.

Per this, LifeQuest develops customized quest pathways:

  • Isolated & stress-wracked users → Subtle missions to build confidence (journaling, short excursions, gratitude exercises).

  • Low-energy, depressed users → Self-care routines (hydration, small daily wins, mindfulness).

  • Moderately social users → Light social challenges (talking to a classmate, reaching out to a buddy).

All quests wrap up with reflection check-ins so that the AI can calibrate difficulty and pacing, just like a real therapist.

LifeQuest circles(Important Feature):

Besides personal growth, users can become part of Circles smaller, safe peer groups to connect and share wins, challenges, and progress. These peer-to-peer connections reduce isolation and bring mental health growth mainstream. This also prevents the users from becoming too attached to the AI application and encourages interaction with real people because becoming too dependent on it would be the exact opposite of the goal.

Built based on real life Analysis:

LifeQuest is not built from random motivation quotes. Its AI is trained by analysis of real-world practice of therapy and evidence-based use. That ensures that users benefit from ordered, incremental advice, rather than generic advice. This is definitly possible with the current level of technology available and the build AI algorithm can be trained and promoted to analyze its actual use.

Who It Benefits:

  • College students and young adults who often deal with stress, loneliness, or fitting in.

  • Working professionals facing burnout and disconnection.

  • Introverts and socially anxious people who need gentle confidence-building.

  • Those who can’t afford or access traditional therapy.

  • Communities and peer groups wanting safe spaces to connect.

  • People completely shut off from the real world, needing a way back into life.

Promotion and Testing:

Promoting the app will be done through establishing LifeQuest Booths in universities, city parks, and at selected community events(places where people who are suffering often try to visit). People can:

  • Use an in-game quick quest demo.

  • Allow for real-time research and improvement sharing.

  • Involve volunteers to explain how the application can benefit them.

  • Get rewards for taking part (merchandise, badges, counseling resources).

It not only creates awareness but also places the app in front of common citizens, making it practical and grounded. These are baby steps and eventually the app can propagate and eventually reach the worst cases where people are shut off completely from the real world.

Why is matters to me?:

LifeQuest enables individuals to escape from isolation and depression loops by encouraging them toward self-care, socialization, and community engagement gently. It is not like those typical apps that substitute life for a screen rather, it releases individuals back into the world to resurface themselves. It incorporates AI personalization, peer support, design that is supported by therapies, and real-world advocacy. Through these components, LifeQuest can transform the way technology addresses mental health.

ShareWay

My idea: ShareWay

Problem it Solves: Students at universities spend a significant amount of money and time on daily commuting. Many take separate autos or cabs even if they’re traveling in the same direction. This not only raises costs but also increases wait times, adds to traffic congestion, and poses safety concerns for students commuting late or alone.

Current Market Gap: Popular ride-hailing apps like Ola or Uber are not designed for short, repetitive, hyperlocal commutes between campus and nearby neighborhoods. They are often too expensive for students, unreliable during peak class timings, and don’t leverage the trust factor of traveling with known peers. What’s missing is a low-cost, campus-centered mobility solution that’s safe, simple, and community-driven.

My Solution: A Campus Ride-Sharing App that matches students traveling along the same route. Features include:

  • Smart Matching: Students heading in the same direction get grouped to share autos, cabs, or even bike rides.

  • Cost Splitting: Fares are automatically divided among riders, saving up to 50–70% of commute costs.

  • Safety First: Only verified students from the same university can join, with ID-based sign-ups and optional SOS features.

  • Convenience: Real-time ride requests and scheduled rides for early classes, late evenings, or events.

Who Benefits:

  • Students → save money, reduce commute stress, and feel safer traveling with peers.

  • Parents → peace of mind knowing rides are limited to verified campus members.

  • Campus Community → less traffic at the gates, fewer parking problems, and a more sustainable commute culture.

Business Model:

  1. Pilot Phase (Free): Start as a student-only app/WhatsApp integration to validate usage.

  2. Scale-Up: Small service fee per pooled ride (₹5–₹10 per rider).

  3. Expansion: Partnerships with local auto unions/cab drivers for guaranteed availability.

  4. Premium Features: Priority bookings, group ride scheduling, or “subscription packs” for daily commuters.

Why This Matters to Me: As a student, I’ve seen friends overspend on commuting and even miss classes because of transport issues. This idea combines affordability, safety, and sustainability while creating a stronger sense of community. It’s not just about cheaper rides; it’s about making campus life smoother and more connected.

LaundrEase - A hostel laundry queue app

Smart Hostel Laundry Notification & Queue System 👕👚

Laundry is one of the most frustrating aspects of hostel life (As we cannot give our undergarments, socks, handkerchiefs etc. to the college laundromat). With hundreds of students sharing a limited number of machines. Students frequently experience:

Long waiting times with no clear idea when their turn will come.

Finished laundry left in the machine because the owner forgot to collect it.

Fights or awkward conversations about “whose clothes are still inside.”

Students using the machine for hours, preventing fair access.

This wastes time, creates unnecessary tension among hostel residents, and reduces the life of machines due to overuse and mishandling.

To solve this, I thought of a Smart Laundry Notification & Queue System: a mobile app and digital interface integrated with washing machines to make hostel laundry fair, efficient, and transparent.

How the System Works

Step 1: Digital Check-In

Before starting a cycle, a student must “check in” through the app using their college ID login.

The machine can only be started once the student presses Start in the app. This prevents anonymous use.

Step 2: Queue Management

If the machine is busy, students can join a digital queue through the app.

The app shows real-time queue length, estimated waiting time, and notifies the student when it’s almost their turn.

If a student does not load clothes within 20 minutes of their slot, the slot is automatically skipped to the next person.

Step 3: Notifications

When a cycle finishes, the app sends instant push notifications to remind the student to collect their laundry.

If clothes are left inside beyond a certain period (e.g., 10–15 minutes), the app records a penalty against that student. Repeated offenders can be reported to hostel wardens.

Each wash is linked to the college ID, ensuring accountability and discouraging misuse.

Benefits

No more waiting around for hours.

Students can go about their day and get notified when it’s their turn.

First-come-first-serve queue ensures no one can cut in line.

Reduces fights and misunderstandings.

Automated reminders prevent forgotten clothes inside the machine.

Every wash is tied to a student’s ID.

Discourages irresponsible behavior like leaving clothes inside for hours.

This type of usage reduces overuse, improves maintenance cycles, and prevents misuse of hostel property.

Challenges

Network outages can delay the system.

Using and setting up smart washing machines require funding and hostel approval.

Queue Abuse - Students booking slots but not showing up.

Some solutions I think would help for queue abuse:

Auto-skip after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Penalties for repeated "fake bookings"

Limit of one active booking per student.

Future ideas

App uses previous data to predict peak vs. off-peak laundry times and using this, students receive recommendations on the best times to do laundry.

Data reports on machine usage, peak demand, and students with repeated misuse, this would help justify the need for additional machines or maintenance scheduling.

Personal safety is not just a women’s issue, it is something that affects everyone. Late night commuters, delivery workers, travelers, students anyone can feel unsafe. Most safety apps today are either focused on one gender or depend on the user to manually trigger an alert, which doesn’t help much if someone is in shock or unable to act. Rakshak is designed to change that by creating a truly inclusive and intelligent safety network.

Rakshak uses adaptive monitoring powered by AI. Instead of rigid check ins, the app learns your usual patterns like commute times, routes, and walking speed to adjust its alerts. If you miss a check in, it quietly gives you warnings before involving others. After three missed confirmations, it shares your live location with your chosen contacts. By the fifth missed check in, it escalates with automated calls to your loved ones or local authorities.

Some key features that make Rakshak different:

• Context awareness: detects sudden movements or suspicious sounds on your phone to trigger early warnings while keeping your data private

• Smart route prediction: guides you toward well lit and busier areas if you stray from your usual path

• Voice codes: a simple phrase can cancel an alert or send an SOS without even unlocking your phone

• Inclusive by design: meant for anyone who could feel vulnerable, not limited to one gender

This idea matters to me because I have seen people of all genders feel unsafe just walking home or traveling. Safety should not depend on luck or on tools built for only some of us. Rakshak is meant to be a reliable companion for everyone.

  • Problem
bills are difficult for most to keep up with. Receipts get lost, deadlines are forgotten, and people do not realize how much they are spending. At tax time, people struggle to do the documentation, which leads to mistakes, missed deductions. The real problem is that there is no inexpensive and simple way to stay on top of it.
  • Gaps in Existing Market
These requirements are not fulfilled by current solutions. Most of the apps out there are business oriented and contain too many complex features that normal users do not require. Some charge outrageous subscription fees, rendering them unusable by students, freelancers, and small households. Hiring an accountant is also beyond the budgets of most people. This leaves a clear vacuum for a tool that is simple, reliable, and lowcost.
  • Proposed Solution
My idea is a smart finance app that will act as a personal financial aid assistant. It will be easy for the user to capture bills and receipts using the phone camera or by uploading them. OCR software within the app will scan the details such as amount, vendor, date, and tax. All the data will be stored securely in encrypted cloud storage and will be automatically organized in categories such as food, travel, utility, or education.
The application will also generate neat reports that can be directly submitted for tax returns. It will remind users before all important due dates and suggest money saving tips depending on an individual's spending habits. At just one hundred and twenty five rupees per month, it is an easy solution for anyone wanting to manage expenses without agony or perplexity.
  • Who Benefits
Effective financial management impacts us all, including students and freelancers, families and household budgets, and small business operators. Lack of organization causes undue stress, money loss, and financial savings opportunities lost. Such a tool gives its users the power to keep their money in check, lessens financial worry, and encourages improved financial behavior.
  • Why this Problem Matters for Me                                                                                                                                                                                                         Financial management is important because it affects everyone in their daily lives. I care about this issue because having a simple and affordable tool for staying organized can help people surround themselves with less stress, save money, and ultimately, make better financial decisions.
  • Technical Details
The app utilizes optical character recognition to pull essential information from receipts and bills. All information is encrypted and held securely in the cloud. Expense categorization is done automatically, and AI algorithms may analyze spending habits to offer personalized advice. Reminders are controlled by integrated notifications, making the app functional and simple to use on any smartphone.
