Career decision-making is perhaps one of the most important but confusing decisions for students. Many students are confused due to shifting interests, lack of adequate counseling time, and not enough information about new career patterns in the future. Traditional career advice is typically one-size-fits-all and does not consider strengths, interests, or the evolving job market.
This deficit can be bridged by an AI-driven career guidance portal, which can offer personalized recommendations. Depending on academic performance, psychometric tests, and co-curricular activities, the portal can suggest apt professions, skill acquisition, and even internships. Conventional methods cannot learn as regularly as AI does from a student's advancement and update tips later on when their interests evolve.
The platform benefits students through giving them direction and clarity, parents through eradicating uncertainty on the child's future, and employers through giving graduates the relevant skills. It also benefits education institutions through aligning students with the right programs.
This idea resonates with me because I also experienced challenges in choosing my career. I changed interests several times before deciding on engineering, and the uncertainty often resulted in anxiety. Unknowingly, people read and share such content without verifying it, which leads to confusion, panic or spreading of false rhetorics.

Highlight gaps in the current solutions/market:

Solution:

A browser extension for young adults seamlessly integrated with a whatsapp chatbot, primarily aimed for the older generation, which flags content as verified, partially verified, false, unverified.

 

Key Features:

  1. For the browser extension: As users browse posts, tweets, and news articles, the extension checks the content on your screen against trusted fact-checking databases and government run portals.
  2. For the whatsapp chatbot: All the user has to do is forward the messages or links to the bot. The bot then scans this content and gives its verdict.
  3. Gives a credibility score to each article, post, message etc. ,so other users are also benefited.
  4. Instantly provides the user with the option to flag and report the message which battles misinformation.

Air pollution in cities remains a major challenge due to vehicle emissions, construction dust, and industrial activity. Current solutions—like masks or indoor purifiers—protect individuals but fail to address pollution at a community scale. My proposal is to design IoT & AI-integrated Smart Air-Purification Poles that combine air filtration, data analytics, and smart-city integration.
Each pole would run on solar panels with Li-ion battery storage for 24/7 uptime. The purification unit would include:
Cyclone separator + pre-filter for coarse dust,
HEPA H14 filter for PM2.5/PM10,
Activated carbon layer for SO₂, NOx, and VOCs,
Electrostatic precipitator for fine aerosols.
Pollution data is captured using sensors like SDS011 (PM2.5/PM10), MQ-135 (gases), CCS811 (VOC/CO₂), and DHT22 (temperature/humidity for calibration). These feed into a Raspberry Pi / ESP32-based microcontroller that preprocesses data before pushing it via LoRaWAN or 5G to a central cloud server (AWS IoT Core / Azure IoT Hub).
A real-time dashboard displays pollution heatmaps, while an AI model (LSTM or Prophet) predicts pollution spikes based on historical data + weather APIs. Citizens access this through a mobile/web app, which can issue alerts (e.g., “High PM2.5 tomorrow morning”).

Bags are commonly picked in public areas such as buses, metros, airports, and bazaars. I wondered—what if the backpack itself would be able to shield the wearer, rather than just holding items? It was the point at which the thought of SafeSleeve occurred to me.

SafeSleeve is just a regular fashionable backpack, but it contains intelligent security features inside. It further features a fingerprint lock at the zipper, so only the owner has access to it. When someone tries to slash or break into the bag, it itself triggers an in-built alarm and sends a location alert to the owner's phone. The bag is also equipped with a GPS tracker, so even stolen or lost, it can be located in real-time.

Technically, SafeSleeve may incorporate a biometric lock, a tiny GPS module, and a Bluetooth connection for phone signals. The exterior layer is made of slash-resistant material (such as Kevlar fabric) in order to avoid slashing attempts. The system is powered by a lightweight rechargeable battery for several days.

No existing solution encodes and transfers specific learned behaviors or preferences between individuals or species.

My concept is a straightforward, paper-based test strip that tests for general markers of immune health from a single drop of blood, urine, or saliva. A strip that detects iron, for instance, turns a clear blue color when deficiency is indicated, providing a quick and cost-effective measure of anemia risk. Potential future iterations would detect Vitamin D, C-reactive protein, or even salivary IgA, allowing immunity monitoring to be speedy and convenient.

Who would benefit?

1. Students and working professionals who want to monitor their well-being.

2. Competitive athletes who must track recovery and nutrition.

3. Rural communities remote from diagnostic laboratories.

Millions of litres of pure water are lost each day through thoughtless use—people fill bottles too full, neglect to hydrate properly (causing health problems), or simply throw away half-full bottles. That got me thinking: what if there was an easy device that not only conserves water, but also encourages healthy drinking habits? That's how the thought of AquaSaver crossed my mind.

 

AquaSaver appears like a normal fashionable water bottle but is constructed with intelligent sensors. It monitors your water consumption throughout the day, reminds you to hydrate, and notifies you when you're near overfilling the bottle. The bottle contains a purification filter within so remaining water can be reused without danger rather than be wasted. It also displays your hydration level, today's water consumption, and even presents community challenges (such as "Save 5 liters this week") to create awareness about water conservation.

 

Technically, AquaSaver can incorporate a capacitive water level sensor, a removable filter cartridge, and a Bluetooth chip with a connected smartphone. A rechargeable battery drives the system for weeks. The bottle itself is of eco-friendly material to prevent contributing to the plastic waste issue.

The platform will bring all verified function halls in Hyderabad under one roof. Each hall listing will include transparent details like location, seating capacity, amenities, pricing, photos, and real-time availability. Customers can search using filters such as date, area, budget, and number of guests. To confirm, they pay a minimum reservation fee of 10% securely online, and a digital booking contract is instantly generated between the user and the hall owner. This ensures trust, prevents last-minute disputes, and provides peace of mind.

Every day, particularly during the 10 AM to 12 PM peak hours, hundreds of students at Mahindra University face a frustrating search for a parking spot in the Multi-Level Car Park (MLCP). This daily hunt involves slowly circling three floors, wasting valuable time and fuel, only to potentially find the lot completely full. This inefficient process leads to unnecessary stress and frequent tardiness for mid-morning classes and labs, impacting a significant portion of the student body.

The Proposed Solution 

ParkSmart MU is a smart parking guidance system designed to eliminate the guesswork and frustration of finding a parking spot. The system works by installing small, ultrasonic sensors above each parking bay to detect vehicle presence in real-time.This information is then relayed to Large Digital Displays at the entrance of the MLCP, showing the exact number of vacant spots available on each floor (P1: 17 | P2: 8 | P3: FULL).

Problems Solved 

By providing accurate, real-time data, ParkSmart MU transforms the chaotic parking routine into a seamless, efficient process. It drastically cuts down search time from 10-15 minutes to under a minute, directly reducing fuel consumptionand associated carbon emissions. Most importantly, it alleviates the stress and anxiety for students rushing to class, ensuring they can arrive on campus calm and ready to learn.
