Real-world problem:

Across farming communities, small and marginal farmers face constant challenges that limit their productivity and income. They struggle with unpredictable weather, rising input costs, pest infestations, and unstable crop prices. Often, they lack timely access to accurate information on soil health, weather conditions, or market demand. Because of this, farmers may invest in the wrong fertilizers, choose crops with low returns or lose entire harvests to sudden climate changes. To make matters worse, middlemen reduce their profits by paying unfair prices leaving farmers with little financial security despite their hard work.

The idea:

The proposed solution is a Farmer Support and Market Linkage App, a one-stop platform that empowers farmers with real-time insights and direct access to markets. Using AI and Iot, the app would analyze soil data, local climate patterns, and crop cycles to provide personalized recommendations. For instance, farmers could upload soil test results or use low-cost sensors, and the app would suggest suitable crops and the precise amount of fertilizer required. It would also deliver real-time weather alerts, pest outbreak warnings, and crop management tips, helping farmers take preventive action and reduce risks. On the market side, the app would connect farmers directly with buyers, retailers, and food processing companies, eliminating middlemen and ensuring fairer prices.

Inclusivity and accessibility:

A key strength of this idea is its focus on inclusivity. Many farmers are not familiar with mobile applications, so the platform would include local support teams or volunteers to train them. Short workshops in villages could demonstrate how to log in, check alerts, upload crop details, and respond to buyer offers. To make the app accessible for everyone, it would support multiple regional languages, voice commands, and simple visual icons, allowing even farmers with limited literacy to use it confidently.

Who benefits:

Farmers: Gain accurate knowledge, reduce risks, and sell crops at better prices.

Buyers: Get fresh produce directly from farmers at fair rates.

Consumers: Benefit from transparent, sustainable supply chains.

Communities: Enjoy stronger rural economies and reduced poverty levels.

Why this problem matters:

Farmers form the backbone of our economy, but many continue to struggle because of outdated systems and lack of access to technology. By combining knowledge, digital tools, and direct market access, this app can uplift millions of farmers, reduce their dependence on middlemen, and create a more resilient agricultural sector.

Future scope and technical details:

Over time, the platform can grow into a complete digital ecosystem for farmers. It could provide access to microloans, crop insurance, and government subsidies with simple applications. Digital records of farming activities could also improve farmers credit eligibility. The app can track crop patterns and demand trends across regions, offering predictive insights to prevent surplus or shortage situations. By integrating satellite imagery, it could monitor crop health and recommend timely interventions. In the future, features such as farmer communities for knowledge sharing or blockchain-based supply chain traceability could further strengthen trust and efficiency.

Moon-light as a service

Moonlight-as-a-Service – Replicating Natural Moon Cycles Indoors for Sleep Optimization

In today’s urbanized world, millions of people live in environments where artificial lighting dominates daily life. Tall buildings, crowded streets, and the constant glow of neon signs and digital screens often hide natural moonlight from city dwellers. While artificial lighting has brought convenience, it has also disrupted one of the most essential aspects of human health—our natural sleep cycle.

Research shows that exposure to moonlight and lunar cycles influences human sleep, mood, and overall well-being. Yet in dense urban cities, very few people get to experience the gentle, gradual transitions that natural moonlight provides. Instead, we are often surrounded by harsh artificial light late into the night, which can lead to irregular sleep patterns, insomnia, and even long-term health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and weakened immunity.

This is where the idea of Moonlight-as-a-Service (MaaS) comes in.

What is Moonlight-as-a-Service?

Moonlight-as-a-Service is an LED-based installation designed to replicate natural moon cycles indoors. By combining advanced lighting technology, sensors, and precisely calibrated LED panels, the system recreates the phases of the moon—from crescent to full moon—within indoor spaces. The aim is to restore the calming, balancing effects of moonlight for people who live in environments where the natural lunar rhythm is no longer visible.

The service would follow a subscription model, allowing residential complexes, wellness centers, hotels, or even individual households to adopt it. Just as streaming subscriptions have enhanced entertainment, MaaS seeks to improve sleep hygiene, mental wellness, and productivity by aligning indoor environments with nature’s rhythm.

Core Benefits of Moonlight-as-a-Service

Sleep optimization: Regulates circadian rhythms to support deeper, more restorative sleep.

Mental wellness: Reduces stress and promotes relaxation, especially for people managing anxiety or burnout.

Urban adaptability: Brings nature-inspired balance back to dense urban living where moon visibility is minimal.

Health integration: Works alongside health technologies such as sleep trackers or fitness devices to personalize moonlight exposure.

Sustainability: Energy-efficient LED installations minimize power consumption, making the system both eco-friendly and cost-effective.

Target Audience

The service is well-suited for urban residents, travelers, wellness seekers, students, and working professionals. Hotels and co-living spaces could use Moonlight-as-a-Service to offer a unique wellness feature for their guests, while organizations could include it in corporate wellness programs to boost employee productivity and reduce fatigue.

Why This Matters

As a generation, we are more aware than ever of the importance of mental health, sleep quality, and work-life balance. Yet city living often pulls us away from natural cycles that help us maintain those very things. By merging technology with nature-inspired wellness, Moonlight-as-a-Service represents a shift toward building urban lifestyles that are efficient, balanced, and deeply human.

Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, MaaS has the potential to expand into smart homes, wellness retreats, and healthcare facilities. Imagine a hospital where patients heal under gentle moonlight simulations, or a co-working space where late-night workers experience calm, natural cycles that reduce fatigue. The idea’s strength lies in its universality—better sleep and wellness are goals that cross age, profession, and geography.

Conclusion

Moonlight-as-a-Service is not just about lighting—it is about restoring balance in a world that never truly sleeps. By replicating natural moon cycles indoors, this concept bridges modern technology with timeless human needs, offering the potential to reshape the way we approach wellness, sustainability, and urban living.

Datasets are quickly becoming one of the most valuable resources for the future, especially in fields like medicine and law. But right now, getting access to those datasets from hospitals or legal firms is nearly impossible because of privacy concerns.

So, what if people could share their own data, safely and anonymously, through an app, and the community helps verify what’s real? Their personal identity would never be revealed, and they could even earn rewards just by posting once in a while.

Why it Matters:

Building datasets is hard and very resource-heavy. But if thousands of people contribute small pieces of data, together it becomes much easier and more powerful. Verified, community-driven datasets would also be far more trustworthy.

How the App Works:

• Each entry has two forms: unstructured (story-style, in your own words) and structured (fields like category, date, treatment, outcome, etc.). Both are useful for training AI and research.

• Users verify posts with a Verify button. Because fake or low-quality data in medical or legal domains is dangerous, posts that receive more verifications rise into the official dataset. Because posts are public, the community can spot fakes. The more verifies an entry gets, the higher priority that data gets.

• Users earn points for posting, verifying, and reposting (editing someone else’s entry to reflect their own experience).

• Security: No phone number, no email. Instead, when you create an account, the app generates a unique 25-digit private key — this becomes your permanent identity. You also get a changeable username and a device-specific 4-digit PIN for easy logins.

These exclusive, high-quality datasets could become valuable to researchers and even LLM companies. Contributors who add the most verified data would share in the rewards.

Gaps in Current Solutions:

Data Quality & Reliability → A lot of datasets today suffer from noise and fake entries. By introducing a user-driven verification system, this app ensures that only trustworthy, validated information makes it into the dataset.

Unstructured Data for NLP → Current solutions often ignore the value of casual, unstructured text. This app captures both structured and unstructured data, which can be used to train NLP models to better understand real human language, slang, and context — especially in sensitive fields like medical and legal.

CoolHaat: The Solar Cold Hub

The Idea - "CoolHaat": The Solar Cold Hub

In rural India, 30-40% of fresh fruits and vegetables spoil before they ever reach the market. This happens because small farmers have no access to affordable, local cold storage. Without it, they are forced to sell their harvest immediately to middlemen at rock-bottom prices, or watch their hard work rot.

The main problems are:

  • Lack of Village-Level Storage: Large cold storage facilities are in cities, too far and expensive for small farmers.

  • Unreliable Electricity: Even if a village has a small cold room, frequent power cuts in rural areas make it useless.

  • High Upfront Costs: Building and running a traditional cold storage unit is too expensive for a single farmer or a small community.

The Solution:

"CoolHaat" is a network of modular, pay-per-use cold storage hubs, designed for Indian villages and powered entirely by solar energy.

  • Solar-Powered & Off-Grid: Each CoolHaat unit is a pre-fabricated, insulated container with high-efficiency solar panels on its roof and a battery backup. It operates completely independently of the local power grid, ensuring 24/7 cooling.

  • IoT-Enabled & Pay-Per-Use: Farmers don't need to rent the whole unit. Using a simple mobile app (or with help from a local operator), they can book and pay for just the space they need—a single crate, a shelf, or a section—using UPI. IoT sensors allow them to monitor the temperature of their produce remotely.

  • Community Hub Model: One CoolHaat hub can serve dozens of farmers in a village, making it a shared and affordable community asset.

Future Improvements:

  • Market Intelligence: The app can provide real-time market price data, advising farmers on the best time to sell their stored produce to maximize profit.

  • Supply Chain Integration: Partner with logistics companies to create a refrigerated "first-mile" link, picking up produce directly from the CoolHaat hubs to transport to urban markets.

Who Benefits?

  • Farmers: Drastically reduce post-harvest losses, gain the power to wait for better market prices, and increase their annual income by 25-50%.

  • Consumers: Get access to higher-quality, fresher produce with more stable year-round prices.

  • Local Entrepreneurs: A person from the village can be trained to operate and manage the local CoolHaat hub, creating a new rural job.

  • The Environment: Reduces food waste and promotes the use of clean, renewable energy.

Why it matters to me:

Growing up, I would visit my village during the harvest season. I saw the incredible effort required to grow fresh vegetables, but I also saw the stress and panic that followed. Farmers, including my own relatives, were forced to sell their entire crop within a day or two for whatever price the middlemen offered. The alternative was watching it spoil under the hot sun.

This deeply effected me and got me thinking that this was unfair, all the hardwork for months could be devalued due to simple lack of time. CoolHaat isn't just about technology, its about allowing the farmers demand the rewards for their hardwork and labour.

Smart queue system

Smart queue system: giving students their time back

So, let me start with something we’ve all experienced. You finally get a short break between classes, you rush to the cafeteria, and then… there’s this never-ending line. You either waste your whole break waiting, or you just skip the meal. The same thing happens at admin offices when you need a certificate signed, or at the library when you want a popular book.

Waiting in line may seem like a small issue, but if you think about it, across an entire campus it adds up to hours of wasted time every single day.

My idea: a smart queue system

Instead of standing in a physical line, students join a virtual queue through an app.

Here’s how it would work:

  • scan a qr code at the cafeteria, library, or office to join the queue

  • the app tells you the estimated wait time

  • you get a notification when your turn is near, so you can keep studying, relaxing, or hanging out with friends instead of waiting around

  • meanwhile, cafeterias and offices get live analytics about peak hours and can adjust staff accordingly

Real examples

Imagine this:

  • in the cafeteria, you book your food slot during lunch hour, and get pinged when your order is ready—no crowd, no stress

  • at the admin office, you don’t stand in line; you just show up when it’s your turn

  • in the library, reserving a study room or borrowing a popular book becomes smooth and hassle-free

Why this matters

Students are already juggling classes, deadlines, and activities. Wasting time in queues just adds unnecessary stress. This system gives students more control of their day, reduces frustration, and makes campus life more efficient.

And it’s not just students who benefit:

  • students: more time to study, relax, or socialize instead of waiting

  • staff: smoother operations and less crowd management

  • universities: a modern, student-friendly image and greater efficiency

My personal motivation

Honestly, I’ve seen people literally sprint to the cafeteria, only to get stuck in a 30-minute wait. Others waste their entire lunch break just for admin work. These little inefficiencies add stress to already busy days. I truly believe a smarter queue could make a big difference in everyday campus life.

How it works technically

  • a simple mobile app linked to qr codes at service points

  • ai prediction for wait times based on past data (like busiest lunch slots)

  • push notifications to remind you of your turn

  • integration with student id cards or meal passes

Future possibilities

This system can be extended too:

  • with food pre-ordering, meals could be prepared in advance, cutting down waiting even further

  • for campus events, it could handle registrations and entry queues smoothly

  • even for shuttle services, boarding could become safer and more organized

Students today often find themselves pulled in different directions - balancing academics, personal projects, social initiatives, and self-growth. Traditional to-do apps and planners feel limiting because they treat every task the same, require constant manual input, and don’t adapt to the multi-dimensional reality of student life. The gap is that there is no system that helps students easily manage multiple streams of goals in a way that feels natural and effortless.

My idea is TrackIt, a smart goal and project tracking app that makes productivity intuitive. Its standout feature is voice-based input: instead of typing, you can simply say, “Submit lab report by Monday,” or “Prepare seminar slides by Friday,” and TrackIt instantly organizes the task into the correct bucket (academics, personal, or projects). It then assigns a deadline and integrates it seamlessly into your daily schedule.

Who benefits?

  • Students: Gain structure across all aspects of life without being overwhelmed.
  • Organizers and leaders: Can track events, deadlines, and group projects with clarity.

This idea personally resonates with me because I constantly juggle academics, personal commitments, and multiple projects all at once. Regular planners don’t reflect this reality as they reduce everything to a single checklist, which feels messy. I need something that acknowledges my life is made of different buckets of goals that all matter equally.

Technically, TrackIt would use speech-to-text with natural language processing (NLP) to categorize tasks automatically. A scheduling engine would slot them into available time windows, while progress would be shown through clear visual dashboards. Over time, the app could even learn personal productivity patterns and recommend optimal times for deep work.

With TrackIt, productivity shifts from tedious manual planning to dynamic, voice-powered goal management, giving students clarity and balance across every dimension of their lives.

PLAYMATE: Your Game, Your Coach

Sports coaching today is expensive. Whether it’s tennis, cricket, badminton, or even running, proper coaching can cost ₹10,000 or more each month. For many, sports are hobbies — something to enjoy on weekends or evenings — but the price tag of training makes it inaccessible. As a result, countless people either play without guidance (risking injuries and poor technique) or simply give up their passion.

PlayMate solves this by turning a simple wearable device into a personal coach that’s affordable, easy to use, and accessible to anyone with a smartphone.

Issues faced

  • 13715300675?profile=RESIZE_710xProfessional coaches: effective, but too expensive for hobbyists.
  • YouTube tutorials: free, but generic — no personal feedback.
  • Smartwatches/fitness bands: track steps and heart rate, but they don’t actually “teach” technique.
  • Wearable motion sensors: exist, but are priced for elite athletes, not everyday people.

There’s no low-cost wearable that acts as a real-time, personal coach for casual players. That’s the gap PlayMate fills.

Who gains

Everyday Players

  • Weekend tennis players, evening joggers, casual cricketers — anyone who wants guidance without breaking the bank.
  • Get real-time corrections like “swing smoother” or “shorten stride to avoid stress.”

Parents & Students

  • Affordable way to help kids develop proper sports habits.
  • Prevents early injuries caused by wrong posture or overexertion.

 Communities & Schools

  • PE teachers can give better training with data-driven insights.
  • More students can enjoy sports without needing costly academies.

Sports Ecosystem

  • Builds a larger base of skilled players.
  • Encourages fitness as a lifestyle rather than an elite privilege.

Why this issue is important to me

I’ve seen too many people around me give up sports because they couldn’t afford regular coaching. Friends who loved badminton stopped playing because they kept injuring their wrists. Neighbors into tennis avoided lessons because of high monthly fees. Personally, I know how frustrating it is to love a sport but feel like you can’t play it “properly” without paying a fortune.

PlayMate comes from that frustration — the belief that enjoying sports shouldn’t be a luxury. If technology can make education, music, and healthcare more accessible, why can’t it do the same for coaching?

 Technical details

  • Wearable Sensor Band: Straps on wrist/ankle, tracks motion, speed, and angles.
  • AI Motion Analysis: Detects errors in swings, kicks, throws, or runs.
  • Audio Coaching: Connects to earphones; gives real-time feedback like a coach standing nearby.
  • App Integration: Shows progress, personalized drills, and weekly challenges.
  • Low Cost: Built with cheap accelerometers/gyros (like in smartphones), priced under ₹1,500.

AI-Powered Career Guidance Platform for Students

One of the biggest problems students face today is lack of personalized career guidance. In most schools and colleges, students either rely on generic advice from teachers or are influenced by family expectations. As a result, many end up in careers that don’t match their skills, passions, or the evolving job market. Current solutions like career counseling sessions or aptitude tests exist, but they are expensive, one-time, and not adaptive to the fast-changing world of work.

My idea is to build an AI-powered career guidance platform that acts like a “personal career mentor” for every student. The platform would analyze multiple factors — a student’s academic performance, skills, personality traits, interests, and even labor market trends — to suggest the best career pathways. Instead of just saying “you should become an engineer,” the system would provide step-by-step roadmaps: recommended college courses, online certifications, internship opportunities, and skill-building activities.

The platform would use AI algorithms for adaptive suggestions and gamification to keep students engaged. For example, completing small skill challenges could unlock new career recommendations. Additionally, it would be offered in regional languages so students from smaller towns and rural schools can benefit too.

Who benefits?

  • Students, who gain clarity and confidence in their career choices.

  • Parents, who save money and time by avoiding mismatched courses.

  • Educational institutions, who can integrate this into their curriculum to improve student outcomes.

  • The job market, which gains better-skilled, better-aligned workers.

This problem matters to me because I’ve seen many peers confused, stressed, or stuck in careers they don’t enjoy simply due to lack of guidance. A scalable, tech-driven solution could democratize career counseling, making it affordable, accessible, and personalized for every student — not just the privileged few.

RetinaScan AI.

13715293262?profile=RESIZE_710x

1. Introduction

Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetes that damages the blood vessels of the retina, potentially leading to vision loss if not caught early. Regular eye screenings are crucial for diabetic patients, but there is a global shortage of ophthalmologists, and manual screenings are time-consuming and often inaccessible, especially in rural or developing regions.

2. The Problem

The current healthcare system faces several challenges in managing diabetic retinopathy:

  • Lack of Access: Many diabetic patients, particularly in underserved areas, lack access to specialists for regular eye exams.

  • Specialist Shortage: There are not enough ophthalmologists to handle the massive and growing number of diabetes cases worldwide.

  • Inefficiency: Manual grading of retinal images is a slow process, creating backlogs and delaying treatment.

  • Human Error: The process can be subjective, and overworked clinicians may miss subtle signs of the disease.

3. The Solution

AI provides a scalable and efficient solution. AI-powered diagnostic systems, like the one developed by Google or IDx-DR, are trained on vast datasets of retinal images. These models can analyze a digital fundus photograph of a patient's eye and automatically detect and grade the severity of diabetic retinopathy. These systems can be integrated into primary care clinics or mobile screening units, allowing for instant, automated screening without the need for an on-site specialist.

4. Business Model

The business model for such a solution often involves a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach. Clinics or hospitals pay a per-scan or subscription fee to use the AI platform. This makes the technology accessible without a large upfront investment. Another model is to license the technology to medical device manufacturers who integrate it directly into their imaging hardware. The value proposition is a cost-effective, rapid, and scalable screening solution.

5. Who Benefits?

  • Patients: They benefit from early detection, which allows for timely treatment and prevention of vision loss. The screening process is also more convenient and accessible.

  • Primary Care Physicians: They can perform a quick, reliable diabetic eye exam in their own office, providing comprehensive care without a referral.

  • Ophthalmologists: The AI system filters out patients with no or minimal disease, allowing ophthalmologists to focus their time and expertise on the most critical cases, managing their time and resources more effectively.

  • Healthcare Systems: They benefit from a more efficient, cost-effective, and scalable screening program that can reach a larger population and reduce the long-term costs associated with blindness.

6. Market Impact

The market impact is transformative. AI-powered DR screening is democratizing access to specialized care. It is shifting the paradigm from a reactive model (treating vision loss after it occurs) to a proactive one (preventing it through early detection). This technology is already FDA-approved and deployed in clinics, demonstrating a clear path to market adoption and a significant reduction in preventable blindness.

7. Why This Matters

This AI application matters because it addresses a global health crisis—preventable blindness—with a scalable, effective, and equitable solution. It showcases AI's power not just as a tool for efficiency, but as a force for social good, bridging the gap in healthcare access and improving the quality of life for millions of people living with diabetes.

One of the biggest challenges faced by many individuals in India today is the lack of affordable, accessible resources to learn English. While numerous apps and institutes exist, most of them charge high fees or use methods that don’t truly connect with learners who are starting from the basics. For millions of hardworking people—delivery partners, students from smaller towns, or professionals from modest backgrounds—this creates a barrier. They may have the drive and inspiration to learn, but the tools available to them are either too expensive or too complicated. This leaves a gap for an inclusive platform that empowers such learners to grow.

My idea is to launch an English-learning app that focuses on making communication skills available to everyone, especially those who cannot normally afford traditional learning platforms. The app will help improve speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills through practical, real-life lessons instead of heavy grammar rules. By using interactive exercises, voice practice, and relatable scenarios, learners can build confidence step by step. Whether it’s a delivery partner who wants to talk more clearly with customers, a student who dreams of better opportunities, or an individual looking to strengthen workplace communication, the app is designed to meet their needs in a supportive way.

This idea matters to me because I believe that talent and ambition are not limited by money or privilege. Many people have the potential to grow, but lack the resources to take that first step. By creating a platform that respects their goals and makes learning approachable, I want to give them the confidence to express themselves without hesitation. Language should be a bridge, not a wall.

The main beneficiaries of this app will be delivery workers, students, young professionals, and anyone who has a dream but not the means to chase it through expensive courses. By combining accessibility, practical learning, and encouragement, this app can help close the gap between aspiration and opportunity, ensuring that no one is left behind because of language barriers.

1. Introduction

Every day, millions of tons of microplastics enter rivers, lakes, and oceans. Household washing machines alone can release up to 700,000 tiny plastic fibers per wash, which pass through sewage systems and contaminate our food and water.

India, with its rapid urbanization and heavy reliance on synthetic fabrics, contributes massively to this invisible pollution. While we strive for clean clothes, we’re unintentionally harming our environment.

HydroNet asks: What if every wash, every drain, and every community could help stop microplastics at the source?

2. The Problem

  • Invisible Pollution: Microplastics are too small for traditional wastewater treatment plants.

  • Health Risks: Accumulate in seafood, salt, and even drinking water.

  • Accessibility Gap: Only expensive premium machines have built-in filters; most households, hostels, and apartments are unprotected.

  • Collective Neglect: Shared facilities amplify pollution, yet no coordinated solution exists.

  • Disposal Dilemma: Trapped microplastics must be properly collected; otherwise, pollution persists.

3. The Solution: HydroNet

HydroNet is a modular, clip-on microplastic filtration system for household and community water outlets. Its design allows it to scale far beyond washing machines.

Key Features:

  • Biodegradable Cartridge: Made from PLA or cellulose-based mesh, compostable under industrial conditions.

  • Responsible Disposal Loop: Users send back trapped microplastics for safe sequestration (e.g., incorporated into construction materials), while the cartridge shell is composted or recycled.

1. Introduction

The Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming industries in India — from smart agriculture to digital manufacturing and smart cities. With over 2 billion IoT devices expected in India by 2030, the need for constant connectivity is clear. But behind this growth lies a hidden bottleneck: batteries. Billions of IoT nodes run on coin cells or rechargeable batteries that must be replaced or recharged frequently. This leads to high maintenance costs, massive e-waste, and limited scalability.

Enter PowerPod — an energy harvesting ecosystem that powers IoT devices using ambient energy (vibration, light, heat, RF signals).

2. The Problem

  • Battery Dependency: Current IoT devices rely on batteries with lifespans of 6–18 months. For remote farms, factories, or city-wide deployments, replacing thousands of batteries is costly and unsustainable.

  • High Maintenance Costs: Industrial IoT deployments spend 30–40% of total cost on battery replacements and labor.

  • Environmental Impact: India generates over 50,000 tonnes of e-waste annually from small batteries alone.

  • Scalability Limits: Smart city projects stall because scaling to millions of nodes is impractical with battery-powered sensors.

Without a batteryless solution, India’s IoT revolution risks being slowed by cost, waste, and inefficiency.

3. The Solution: PowerPod

PowerPod is a hybrid hardware-software ecosystem that replaces or supplements batteries in IoT systems by harvesting energy from the environment.

Key Technical Features:

  • Multi-Source Harvesters: Combines vibration, thermal, light, and RF energy collection into a compact module.

  • Ultra-Low-Power Electronics: Custom power management IC ensures efficient storage in supercapacitors.

  • Self-Powered IoT Nodes: Wireless sensors that run indefinitely without battery changes.

  • Plug-and-Play Design: OEM-friendly modules that retrofit into existing IoT devices.

  • Cloud Analytics: Device dashboard shows power health, harvesting efficiency, and predictive alerts.

Example use cases:

  • Smart agriculture soil sensors powered by soil moisture & sunlight.

  • Industrial vibration harvesters for predictive maintenance.

  • Water quality pods (like your capsule idea!) powered by river currents + solar.

4. Business Model

  • B2B Licensing (OEMs & IoT Integrators): Sell PowerPod modules to IoT device manufacturers (₹500–₹2,000 per unit).

  • B2B SaaS Dashboard: Subscription for energy analytics, monitoring, and predictive maintenance (₹10,000/month per enterprise).

  • Turnkey Deployments: Custom end-to-end solutions for smart city & industrial projects.

  • CSR/Government Partnerships: Subsidized rural/agriculture deployments under Digital India and Smart Cities Mission.

5. Who Benefits?

  • Citizens: Access to reliable, low-maintenance IoT services (smart farming, clean water monitoring, safe transport).

  • Enterprises: Reduced maintenance costs and downtime in factories and utilities.

  • Government: Scalable smart city and rural projects without costly battery logistics.

  • Environment: Lower e-waste footprint from billions of discarded batteries.

6. Market Impact

  • India’s IoT market projected at $15 billion by 2026.

  • Battery maintenance accounts for up to 35% of IoT OPEX. PowerPod can reduce this by 70%.

  • Even with 2% market penetration (40 million devices), PowerPod modules represent a ₹2,000 crore revenue opportunity.

  • Early adoption in agriculture, infrastructure, and utilities will ensure nationwide scalability.

7. Why This Matters

IoT is the backbone of India’s smart future — from UPI-enabled rural banking kiosks to intelligent energy grids. But batteries are the weak link holding back adoption.

PowerPod makes IoT sustainable, scalable, and self-reliant. By eliminating battery dependence, we reduce costs, cut e-waste, and empower India’s next billion IoT devices to run forever, powered by the environment itself.

LumoGrid - Banking on Sunshine

1. Introduction

India is rapidly expanding its renewable energy footprint, with ambitious targets for solar adoption. Millions of households and businesses are now installing rooftop panels. Yet, while production grows, utilization remains inefficient: surplus solar power often goes unused or is fed back into the grid with minimal returns.

This creates a mismatch-abundant solar energy on one side, unmet demand on the other side.

2. The Problem

Current solutions like net metering are limited:

  • Surplus producers get little to no monetary value for their extra energy.

  • Non-solar consumers can’t directly buy green energy from their neighbors.

  • DISCOMs (distribution companies) lack simple tools for micro-level peer-to-peer energy exchange.

As a result, India wastes thousands of megawatts of potential solar energy each year, while many citizens are still stuck with costly, carbon-heavy electricity.

3. The Solution: LumoGrid

LumoGrid is a Solar Energy Bank that lets communities store, trade, and share solar energy like money.

Key Components:

🔆 Virtual Energy Wallet (App + Web):

  • Producers deposit surplus solar energy as credits.

  • Consumers withdraw credits by purchasing green energy.

🔆 Peer-to-Peer Energy Marketplace:

  • Direct buying and selling of solar credits between households, businesses, and communities.

  • Smart contracts ensure transparent and traceable transactions.

🔆 Grid Integration:

  • Uses smart meters and DISCOM partnerships to track deposits/withdrawals.

  • Bills automatically adjusted.

4. Business Model

  • Transaction Fees (B2C): Small commission per unit traded.

  • Community Subscriptions (B2B): Housing societies, schools, offices pay monthly fee to use LumoGrid.

  • DISCOM Partnerships: Revenue-sharing agreements with utilities for microgrid management.

  • Carbon Credits: Sell verified green offsets to businesses, creating an additional income stream.

5. Who Benefits?

  • Solar Owners: Monetize surplus energy instead of wasting it.

  • Non-Solar Consumers: Access affordable, clean energy without installing panels.

  • Communities: Achieve local energy independence and resilience.

  • DISCOMs: Reduce load pressure, integrate renewables smoothly.

6. Market Impact

  • India already has 120+ GW of solar capacity, with rooftop solar expected to quadruple by 2030.

  • Even if just 5% of surplus producers participate, LumoGrid could manage gigawatt-scale clean trading.

  • Affordable entry for local communities would mean rapid adoption without heavy infrastructure costs.

6. Why this matters?

This project matters to me because I’m passionate about fighting climate change and making clean energy accessible to everyone. India has immense solar potential that often goes unused.

LumoGrid lets us share that energy, turning rooftops into micro power plants and giving citizens a direct role in creating a greener and fairer energy future.

AgriWatch: AI-Powered Farm Guardian

AgriWatch: Smart Farm Monitoring and Artificial Intelligence Crop Protection.

Securing agricultural lands, empowering farmers13715259089?profile=RESIZE_400x.

Problem

Farmers are always under pressure because of wild animals, intruders, unpredictable weather and low-quality land in which they cultivate their crops. Those risks typically cause losses of crops and economic stress. Large-sized farmers are unable to monitor their farms every time, and small farmers could not afford expensive surveillance.

Proposed Solution

AgriWatch is an AI-powered IoT device that protects crops and assists farmers in controlling farms. Solar-powered sensors measure movement, temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and other valuable nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium. The AI differentiates between friendly activity and danger, which subsequently turn on ultrasonic and infrared sound signals to frighten the animals or intruders and sends real-time warnings to the phone belonging to the farmer. The system does not only monitor weather conditions and rainfall but also gives warning to farmers against the occurrence of heavy rain or other possible floods. Additionally, AgriWatch gives advice on irrigation, use of fertilizers, nutrient management, and the method of maximising crop health and yields.

Gaps in the Market

The solutions that are present concentrate on either environmental monitoring or surveillance. Not many of them include both practical crop advice and weather alerts in a single low-priced system. AgriWatch is non-theftable as sensors are small, solar powered, securely fixed in high or hidden positions in crops and are tamper-proof, hence hard to steal or break.

Why It Matters

This is personal to me. My family is also in the agricultural field and my parents are employed in industries that depend on crops hence I have seen and heard how crop losses affect the livelihoods. I too have observed the repercussions of the animal control and even tranquilizing which may additionally pose a risk to crops. AgriWatch offers an alternative to invasive methods that is both humane and allows the farmer to be at peace with himself and view of the weather and find the motivation to be productive.

Who Benefits

Small farmers receive cheap insurance, farm management advice, and weather forecasts. Big farms are now enjoying real time dashboards and analytics. The communities will have a more stable and reliable source of food, and entrepreneurs will be able to develop activities on the foundation of smart farming solutions.

Conclusion

AgriWatch is a complete system, and includes crop protection, smart management, and weather alerts in a theft-resistant system, to help farmers to grow bigger, safer, and healthier crops.

HEARTSPARK : bonds that last

What’s missing is a tool that doesn’t just store memories—but helps us relive them, celebrate them, and strengthen the bonds behind them. That’s where our app,HeartSpark, comes in.HeartSpark is an AI-powered app that automatically organizes your photos and videos by the people in them. It creates personalized folders, timelines, and even reminds you of important milestones—like birthdays, anniversaries, or the number of years of friendship you’ve shared. It even picks up on common interests—say you and your best friend love cricket, the app notifies you about upcoming matches so you stay connected beyond just photos.

But our real USP/MVP is the ‘MEMORIES Section.’ Imagine you’ve had a fight with a loved one. You type in their name, and AI instantly shows you your happiest moments together—trips, laughter, milestones you might have forgotten. It’s like a gentle nudge reminding you why that person matters. Because at the end of the day, memories don’t just store photos—they save relationships.

PROBLEM:-

Relationships often fade due to distance, misunderstandings, or lack of effort.

In today’s era of gen-Z/gen-Alpha moving towards gen-Beta , people capture thousands of photos and videos with loved ones but these memories often get lost in cluttered galleries, be it Google Photos, iCloud or phone storage. Most apps focus on storage and not emotional connection. They don’t remind you why relationships matter. While social media connects us superficially, it doesn’t deepen bonds.

2.current market gaps:-

None combine AI-driven memory organization, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building.

competitive advantages over already established companys:-

a)Unlike Google/iCloud ->not just storage.

b)Unlike social media -> private, meaningful, emotional.

buyers:

Anyone who values meaningful relationships and wants curated, private storage.

community:

Encourages real human connection, reducing loneliness and strengthening support systems and inter-related bond.

5. why is this important to me? :-

This problem matters to me personally because I’ve seen how relationships fade/end/get destroyed, not because people stop caring or lose interest, but because they forget the small moments that made their strong bond. Misunderstandings, priorities, miscommunications, ego, etc are common huddles one needs to jump across to maintain or have a meaningful and everlasting bond. This app ensures those moments are never lost, and never forgotten.

The meaning behind my name is to be,create and spread happiness wherever i go,whomever i meet. Although it is  impossible to fullfil this task in hand, this app might be my best shot to bring people closer than ever before.

With HeartSpark, we’re not just building another photo app, whereas we’re simply just building a relationship companion. An app that helps people reconnect, forgive, and celebrate life’s most meaningful bonds.
