SkillMap: Bridging Students to Industry Needs

One of the biggest struggles students and job seekers face is figuring out which exact skills are required for the jobs they want. While job portals and LinkedIn list skills, these are usually broad and generic, often leaving students confused about where they truly stand. Two students may both apply for a “data analyst” role, but one may lack SQL knowledge while the other needs more experience with visualization tools. Current platforms fail to give this level of personalized clarity.

SkillMap solves this by acting as a personalized skill navigator. Using AI, it analyzes a student’s coursework, projects, GitHub activity, and resume, then compares it against live job postings. Instead of overwhelming them with all possible skills, SkillMap pinpoints the specific gaps that matter most for their chosen career path. It doesn’t stop there — it generates a step-by-step learning roadmap, recommending online courses, projects, and exercises to close those gaps effectively.

The direct beneficiaries are students and job seekers, who gain tailored guidance on what to learn next. Universities benefit by aligning their programs with industry demand, and recruiters benefit by meeting candidates who are better prepared and job-ready.

This problem matters to me because I’ve personally felt the uncertainty of not knowing whether I’m learning the right things for my career. By giving students a clear, actionable roadmap, SkillMap removes confusion and builds confidence. It is about transforming scattered effort into focused growth, and ultimately helping young people step into the job market with clarity and direction.

“Learn what matters, when it matters.”

🎯 “EDU EXCHANGE ” – Real-world Skills + Peer Tutoring Exchange

1. Real-world problem it solves

Students often face:

• A skills gap — they study theory but lack practical skills (coding, presentations, budgeting, job prep).

High costs of courses - online platforms (Udemy, Coursera, etc.) can be expensive.

Unequal access — some students have strong peers who help, others don’t.

But many students graduate with degrees but feel unprepared for real-world challenges.

2. Gap in current solutions / market

• Coaching centers → focus on exams, not life/job skills.

• Online courses → expensive, not personalized, low completion rates.

• Peer support → informal and uneven, not structured.

👉 No affordable, student-driven platform where learners can teach what they’re good at and learn what they need in return.

3. Who benefits

Students: Gain practical skills + build teaching confidence.

Parents: Affordable, peer-powered upskilling instead of costly coaching.

Community: Creates a culture of collaboration and self-reliance, reducing inequality.

4. Why this problem matters

I’ve seen so many classmates excel in one area (like math, coding, or public speaking) but struggle badly in another. If they could teach what they know and learn what they lack, both would benefit. It matters to me because education should be shared, practical, and empowering — not just rote and expensive.

5. Technical details

• A mobile app/website where students list what they can teach and what they want to learn.

• Uses credits system → Teach 1 hour = Earn credits → Spend credits to learn another skill.

• Low-cost premium option: verified mentors for critical subjects (resume, coding, interviews).

• Built-in rating & review system for trust.

Self Wiping Bike Helmet

Riding a bike is fun but helmets get dirty fast. Sweat dust rain and pollution all make them wet and smelly. Cleaning them is annoying and most people just ignore it. I thought it would be great if the helmet could clean itself.

The idea is simple. The outside of the helmet will have a surface that can wipe off dust water and mud. That way even if it rains or the road is dusty the helmet stays clean. The inside will have a soft little cloth system that moves and wipes away sweat so it does not smell or get wet. There will be small sensors that know when the helmet is dirty or wet and they will turn the cleaning on only when needed. You could also put a tiny light inside that kills bacteria to make it extra clean.

This helmet will help anyone who rides a bike every day or even sometimes. No one likes a wet smelly helmet and right now most helmets in the market do not fix this problem. I know it myself because I ride a lot and sometimes I have to wear a wet helmet and it is really uncomfortable and also during night time there is no proper vision if the helmet is not clean cant even close the shield of it as then we cant see ahead due to tge lights of opposite vehicles so a clean helmet is non negotiable.

Making this helmet will mix simple machines electronics and some smart materials. It will be small light and not heavy. It can make riding more comfortable safe and clean. I think it will be useful for many people and it is fun to make something like this. I want to try it because it solves a real problem and it is not something you see in normal helmets. A smart self cleaning helmet can really change how people feel when they ride and keep them happy and safe.

Memory Lane

One of the biggest challenges students face is forgetting what they studied weeks or even months ago. As exams approach, they often scramble to re-learn old topics, wasting valuable time and adding unnecessary stress. While flashcard and spaced-repetition apps exist, they rely heavily on manual input—students must create cards themselves and keep updating them, which becomes tedious and discourages consistent use. This leaves a major gap between learning something once and retaining it long-term.

The solution is an AI-powered “Time-Travel Study Map”. Imagine an app that passively tracks your learning journey across different formats—PDFs you read, lecture videos you watch, or notes you take. Instead of scattered resources, the app automatically logs key concepts and places them on a timeline of when you first studied them. Then, using smart spaced repetition, it “resurfaces” those concepts at the right intervals, guiding you back to earlier lessons just as you’re about to forget them. The experience feels less like rote revision and more like revisiting your own personal learning history—a memory timeline you can actually travel through.

The main beneficiaries are students preparing for exams, especially those in universities or competitive fields where long-term recall is critical. By reducing the mental burden of organizing revision, the app gives them more time to focus on understanding rather than chasing lost notes.

This problem matters deeply to me because I’ve personally experienced the frustration of forgetting concepts right when I need them most. A tool that helps students learn once and remember for the long run could be a true game-changer.

Cycling is one of the easiest and most healthy ways to travel in a city. It saves money, reduces pollution, and helps keep one fit. But actually, cyclists often feel unsafe because there are no proper lanes for them. They have to ride beside buses, cars, and bikes. This makes people avoid cycling even when they want to.

Current solutions are painted cycle lanes which exist in a few places but they are still poorly maintained and broken midway or are even taken by parked vehicles. This shows a major gap: people are interested in cycling, but current infrastructure does not support them.

That’s why I thought of CycleSafe Tracks.

This idea is simple and practical: we create dedicated cycle lanes on main roads which are separated from traffic by using low, flexible rubber dividers (like speed bumps along the road). These dividers are cheap, easy to install, and also will prevent cars from entering the lane, while still allowing emergency vehicles to cross if required.

At night, these lanes can use glow-in-the-dark paint and solar-powered lights for visibility. At intersections, we could have push buttons for cyclists which link to traffic signals, giving them a green light for a safe crossing. In crowded areas, 3D zebra crossings can automatically slow vehicles, protecting cyclists and even pedestrians.

This solution benefits cyclists by providing them with safety and even families who want their children to ride without fear, and the environment by reducing dependency on cars and pollution. Governments also benefit, as CycleSafe Tracks are affordable, cheap, and show progress to smart city goals.

This problem matters to me because I’ve seen many people avoid cycling mainly due to danger and not because they don’t want to try it. With CycleSafe Tracks, we can make cycling safe, practical, and plausible.

CalmConnect

13715451065?profile=RESIZE_710xCalmConnect

Millions around the world suffer from anxiety, depression, or emotional distress but lack immediate support due to long wait times, high costs, social stigma, or simply not knowing where to turn during a crisis. This leaves people—like overwhelmed students, isolated new parents, or those in conservative communities—struggling in silence, sometimes until problems escalate beyond control.

The Problem

  • Access to professional mental health care is severely limited in many regions, with delays stretching into months and many people never getting help at all.

  • Social stigma prevents many from seeking therapy, leading to untreated depression, anxiety, and even crises.

  • Current digital mental health tools are often generic, not equipped to provide real-time, personalized crisis support, or help people navigate toward the right level of care.

The Solution

  • A startup can offer an always-available, AI-powered mental health triage and support platform that:

    • Instantly engages users via chat or voice, listening with empathy and without judgment.

    • Provides immediate coping strategies tailored to the user’s real-time needs—whether stress, panic, sadness, or overwhelm.

    • Identifies urgent cases using AI and seamlessly connects those individuals to human clinicians or local emergency resources if needed.

    • Guides users toward trusted counselors, digital therapy, or community support, breaking down barriers to entry for ongoing care.

Impact and Human Touch

  • This solution fills the gap for millions hesitant to seek help, by providing confidential, stigma-free support in the moment it’s needed most.

  • It empowers those who feel lost or silenced by circumstance, offering a friendly and responsive first-line of care that gently guides them towards lasting recovery.

  • By handling initial triage and support, it also helps prevent burnout for clinicians, ensuring that the most critical cases get timely human attention and others receive continuous, meaningful support.

MealMatch

1. My idea: MealMatch

Problem it Solves: Students often struggle with meal planning and eating healthy on a budget. Many end up skipping meals, relying on fast food, or wasting groceries because they can’t finish everything they buy.

Current Market Gap: Food delivery apps focus on convenience but are expensive for daily use. Grocery delivery platforms don’t solve the problem of food waste or planning. What’s missing is a student-friendly platform that balances affordability, nutrition, and convenience.

My Solution: A Smart Meal-Sharing and Planning App for students:

  • Community Cook-ups: Students nearby can share home-cooked meals or batch-cook together.

  • Leftover Exchange: Post extra portions so others can claim instead of wasting food.

  • Meal Planner + Budgeting Tool: Suggests weekly affordable, healthy meal plans based on local grocery prices.

  • Nutrition Focus: AI-suggested meals that meet calorie/protein needs for active students.

Who Benefits:

  • Students → affordable, healthier meals, less wastage.

  • Parents → assurance their kids eat properly.

  • Campus Community → stronger bonding over shared meals, reduced food waste.

Business Model:

  • Pilot: Free app with basic features.

  • Scale-up: Small service fee/commission on shared meals.

  • Premium: Meal-prep subscriptions, curated diet plans, discounts with local grocery shops.

Why This Matters to Me: I’ve seen so many students and also myself either waste money on food delivery or struggle with cooking alone. This creates a way to eat healthier, better, cheaper, and together.

Most college students desire to go to activities such as concerts, hackathons, workshops, or matches but are reluctant due to a lack of knowledge of how many other people will be going. This results in missing out on great experiences.

Today, students use WhatsApp groups, Discord servers, or word of mouth. These are either messy, restricted to present circles, or not made for finding new like-minded individuals. Therefore, numerous opportunities for connection are lost.

My vision is to create a campus-exclusive app/ website through which students are able to find events and meet like-minded individuals. Students would log in based on their authenticated university ID for trust and security. It could be like Linkedin/ Facebook but campus exclusive, built only for students, safe, and focused on real campus life..

Core Features

  • Event discovery platform for concerts, hackathons, workshops, sports, and fests.
  • Smart peer matching to find others interested in the same event.
  • Formation of groups (e.g., "first-time hackathoners," "concert buddies").
  • Event reminders and alerts.
  • Authenticated club/society profiles to post events directly.
  • Safety features such as group chat-first and reporting features.
  • Future scope: cross-campus collaboration.

Key Features & Technical Approach

  • Authentication: Secure login via OAuth using official university email IDs for verification.

  • Event Discovery Hub: Events posted by clubs, organizers, or students stored in a centralized event database (SQL/NoSQL backend).

  • Recommendation System: A lightweight matching algorithm (collaborative filtering or interest-based clustering) suggests peers with similar event preferences.

  • Group Formation & Chat: Real-time chat using WebSockets or Firebase, with default group mode before one-to-one.

  • Notifications: Push notifications + email reminders for event updates, powered by a scheduling service.

  • Safety & Moderation: Report/block system, admin dashboard for moderators, and machine-learning based flagging for inappropriate content (future).

  • Scalability: Microservice architecture so the platform can expand across campuses; cloud-hosted for reliability.

  • Future Scope: Integration with calendars (Google/Outlook), gamification (badges for active participants), and analytics dashboards for organizers.

Who Benefits?

  • Students: Never miss events, find company easily, make new connections.
  • Organizers/Clubs: Improved event attendance and targeted reach.
  • Universities: Stronger campus culture, higher student engagement.
  • External Partners (future): Ability to promote events directly to students.

This concept is important to me because I've personally missed out on events when I didn't have someone to go with despite wanting to attend. I think addressing this problem will make campus life more social, welcoming, and enjoyable.

killHub –Micro-Skills for Micro-Jobs

Problem:

For beginners and early freelancers who are eager to see some work but can't access large-scale projects, platforms like Fiverr and Upwork demand portfolios, repeat customer ratings, and ability to handle bigger commitments. For beginners, this is daunting. While dozens of small but essential jobs—i.e., a quick resume tweak, debugging a small code issue, designing a social graphic, translating a short paragraph—get left undone because they're deemed "too small" for commercial freelancing sites. That leaves students with nowhere to work and customers with nowhere to turn quickly and affordably. Humanize

Solution: killHub bridges this gap by offering a niche micro-job marketplace for services worth between ₹50 and ₹500. The concept is simple: speedy work, speedy payment.

For students and freelancers: killHub provides minimum-barrier access to freelancing. They are asked to bring neither large portfolios nor long-term assignments—just a micro-skill that can deliver. A student who is conversant with elementary-level knowledge of Photoshop can create a poster; a coder can debug a code snippet; a language student can translate a paragraph or two. The website guides them with working out skills in real situations, receiving ratings, and confidence and receiving pocket money.

For clients: Small enterprises, starters, and individuals all carry small but urgent tasks mainstream freelancers don't bother with. killHub offers them a one-stop-shop: a streamlined pool of micro-skill experts who can do things fast —within a matter of hours— and at a tenth of the customary cost. The clients save time, money, and frustrations.

How it works: The clients enter work orders or simply pick from prescreened micro-services. Payment is done through a secure wallet inside an app, and money is unlocked when a job is completed. Rating and reviewing help to enforce accountability. Over time, algorithms link up the right freelancer with the right micro-task to further streamline the process.

Business Model: killHub will operate based on a commission system and will have a minimal platform fee (i.e., 10–15%) for each transaction. The number of micro-transactions is large enough to justify the minimal value per-job and generate steady revenue streams. The platform can scale up in the long term by offering premium services such as skill badges, profile verification, or priority listings to freelancers. Moreover, partnerships with colleges, training institutes, and ed-tech platforms can bring onboard bulk students who already desire to earn part-time.

Impact: For freelancers, killHub lowers access to the gig economy at minimal cost and lets them earn confidence and funds from day one. For clients, it is the one-stop shop for inexpensive, speedy, and reliable micro-jobs. In the long run, killHub can become the "Fiverr for students", making the gig economy less exclusive, more accessible, and efficient.

Portable Chargers

One of the biggest challenges we face in todays' lives are keeping our electronic devices charged at full capacity. If you're a student dashing from class to class, a commuter stuck in traffic, or an active professional constantly on the move, running out of power can translate into missed opportunities, lost productivity, or even safety issues. The options we have now—like power banks—are less than optimal; they tend to be large, slow to power up, or need pre-charging, which kind of defeats the purpose if you forget to do that anyway.

I'm excited to introduce a new generation of Smart Portable Chargers that are light, carry-friendly, and designed for day-to-day convenience. Unlike traditional power banks, these chargers can recharge themselves conveniently from various sources: solar panels during your outdoor adventures, kinetic energy from your motion, or rapid wall charging when you're indoors. That means you won't have to haul a "dead" power bank around.

The benefits are enormous: students can keep their devices powered up during all-night study binges, tourists will no longer be stranded with a dead phone, and professionals can keep in touch around the clock. And communities within areas where power outages are typical can depend on these chargers as a sure backup.

This challenge personally is on my mind with me since I have had the anxiety of a dead battery at critical moments for example, like missing key updates or not being able to communicate with family or friends. By making chargers more intelligent and versatile, we can provide peace of mind and uninterrupted access to the digital and electronic world upon which people depend on.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth: most mid-size buildings don’t have a “water supply” problem—they have a visibility problem. Litres vanish via silent toilet leaks, rooftop tanks spill for minutes, and pumps run long—often during diesel-generator hours. By the time anyone notices, the tanker bill (and tempers) is up.

Why this matters to me

We’ve all paid inflated bills because of leaks or overflows no one caught in time. I’ve seen watchmen “measure” tanks with sticks and late-night guesswork on WhatsApp. I want a system that catches waste before it becomes a bill.

Who it benefits

  • Residents/Tenants: Lower, steadier water and DG costs; fewer emergency tankers.

  • Facility Teams/Security: Clear, actionable alerts instead of guesswork.

  • Owners/Associations: Proof of savings, fewer complaints, longer asset life.

  • Environment: Fewer tanker trips and diesel hours; less groundwater stress.

Current solutions & why they aren’t feasible

  • Manual rounds & paper logs: Infrequent, error-prone, provide no early warning or audit trail.

  • Float switches alone: Fail silently; can’t quantify losses or alert staff.

  • Full BMS/SCADA installs: High capex, vendor lock-in, long deployments—overkill for 1–5 block sites.

  • Smart meters everywhere: Accurate but costly to blanket; plumbing retrofits disrupt service and slow payback.

What AquaPulse does

A retrofit IoT + AI layer that makes water systems observable and actionable—without a heavy BMS.

  • Level Watch: Waterproof ultrasonic sensor learns fill/empty rhythm; warns before overflow (“3 min to spill—cut pump?”).

  • Pump Sentinel: Energy-metering smart plug reads power patterns to catch stuck floats/overrides; optional safe auto-cutoff.

  • Leak Scout: Main-line flow sensor learns the night baseline; sustained trickle ⇒ leak alert with estimated loss.

Technical details (MVP)

  • Hardware: ESP32 MCU; JSN-SR04T (ultrasonic), YF-S201 (flow), Wi-Fi energy-metering smart plug; 5V/12V PSU; IP65 enclosure.

  • Firmware/Comms: ESP-IDF/Arduino; MQTT over TLS; per-device keys; last-will for sensor-health pings.

  • Cloud/App: Rules engine (Node/Go), time-series DB (Timescale/Influx), web dashboard + Telegram/WhatsApp bot.

  • Analytics: Rolling median + change-point detection; pump state (HMM-style); hysteresis to prevent alert spam; maintenance mode.

  • Security: TLS, signed configs, least-retention of raw data.

Smart Lecture Recorder & Summarizer App

My idea is about student studies

One of the biggest challenges faced by college students is keeping track of everything taught in lectures. Often, while trying to take notes, students miss important explanations or examples. Absenteeism due to illness, overlapping schedules, or personal reasons makes the problem even worse, leaving many students behind. While some students record lectures on their phones, raw recordings are usually long, unorganized, and difficult to use effectively for revision.

The gap in the current solutions is that they do not transform lecture recordings into useful, structured learning material. Students need a smarter system that not only records but also processes the content.

My idea is to create a Smart Lecture Recorder & Summarizer App. This app would record the lecture audio or video and then use AI speech-to-text technology to automatically convert it into written notes. The notes would be searchable, meaning students could type a keyword like “Ohm’s Law” and instantly jump to that section of the recording. Additionally, the app would generate concise summaries, highlight key formulas or definitions, and even create practice questions based on the lecture content.

Who benefits?

Students: Gain accurate, searchable notes and summaries for effective revision.

Professors: Save time since students rely less on repeatedly asking doubts from class.

Colleges: Enhance the overall learning experience and academic results.

This problem matters to me because I often find myself focusing either on writing or listening, but rarely both. A tool like this would ensure that students never miss critical points and can revise efficiently before exams.

The system could run on smartphones or laptops, using AI-based speech recognition and natural language processing to summarize content. Recordings could be stored securely, accessible only to enrolled students

In short, this idea makes lectures accessible, structured, and revision-friendly, solving a very real challenge faced by students today.

Smart Food Waste Reduction System

Smart Food Waste Reduction System

One of the most pressing problems in today’s world is food waste, both at the household and retail level. According to the UN, nearly one-third of food produced globally goes to waste, even while millions of people suffer from hunger. Current solutions such as food donation drives, awareness campaigns, and mobile apps for surplus food redistribution exist, but they face serious gaps. Donation systems are often inefficient, requiring manual coordination. Apps mostly target restaurants or supermarkets, while household-level waste—one of the largest contributors—remains largely unaddressed.

My idea is a Smart Food Waste Reduction System (SFWRS) that integrates IoT and AI to track, predict, and reduce waste at both the consumer and retail level. For households, smart kitchen bins embedded with weight and image sensors can log food thrown away, sending weekly reports to users’ mobile apps. AI-driven recommendations would suggest meal plans, portion sizes, and recipes using soon-to-expire ingredients. For retailers, the system could connect inventory management with dynamic discounting—alerting shoppers about items nearing expiry at lower prices in real time. This creates a dual solution: reducing waste while saving money for consumers.

The beneficiaries are multiple:

  • Consumers, who save money and eat more responsibly.

  • Retailers, who can minimize loss and attract customers with discounts.

  • Communities and the environment, as reduced waste means fewer greenhouse gas emissions and better food distribution.

This issue matters deeply to me because I’ve seen food wastage in everyday settings—leftovers tossed out in homes and supermarkets discarding edible goods—while food insecurity remains widespread. With technology advancing, it feels irresponsible not to create systems that connect surplus with need.

By combining smart devices, predictive analytics, and community-driven sharing, the SFWRS has the potential to transform food waste from a silent crisis into an opportunity for sustainability.

Problem :

In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, many students and professionals skip meals or eat unbalanced diets, resulting to fatigue, weak immunity, and poor concentration. While supplements exist in the form of pills, syrups, or powders, people often forget to take them or find them inconvenient and energy drinks are unhealthy due to excessive sugar. This results in nutrition gaps that affect both health and productivity.

Gaps in current solution :

  • Pills and syrups are hard to remember and inconvenient to carry.
  • Powders and shakes are messy and not practical for daily use.
  • Energy drinks are expensive, high in sugar, and harmful long-term.
  • Current smart bottles only track hydration but do not add nutritional value

Solution :

VitaDrop is a smart water bottle with a vitamin pod-dispensing cap. The cap holds a sealed cartridge of dissolvable vitamin pods. With a twist or press, one pod is released into the water, instantly infusing it with essential nutrients. Pods can be tailored for different needs:

🟠 Immunity Boost (Vitamin C, Zinc)

🔵 Focus & Energy (B Vitamins, electrolytes)

🟢 Fitness Recovery (Magnesium, protein peptides)

🟣 Skin & Hair Glow (Collagen, Biotin, Vitamin E)

🟡 Stress Relief & Sleep (Ashwagandha, Magnesium, Melatonin)

A multi-pod cartridge reduces the need for constant refilling, and an optional LED tracker or app can monitor hydration and nutrient intake.

Who benefits:

  • Students in schools and hostels
  • Office workers
  • Parents and children
  • Fitness enthusiasts and atheletes

Why it matters to me :

As a student, I know how often meals get skipped during busy schedules. This bottle combines two essentials—water and vitamins—into one effortless daily habit. It ensures better focus, energy, and health without extra effort.

Problem Statement:

Many people come up with unique and creative story ideas but lack the time, writing skills, or resources to turn them into full stories, books, or scripts. These ideas often remain forgotten, while professional writers, filmmakers, and creators constantly struggle to find fresh and original content. Currently, there is no widely available platform dedicated to capturing and sharing raw story ideas in a way that makes them accessible for others to use, expand, or collaborate on.

Solution:

A digital Collaborative Storytelling Platform where users can:Post raw story ideas, characters, or plot outlines.Explore ideas shared by others, upvote, and comment.Collaborate with the original creator to co-develop the story.Use AI tools to refine plots, generate outlines, or connect with similar ideas. This platform acts as a bridge between idea generators (people with concepts) and story developers (writers, filmmakers, hobbyists).

Why is it Unique?

Focuses on raw ideas, not only polished stories (unlike Wattpad, Reddit, or writing forums).Encourages collaboration, not just feedback.Uses AI support to enhance creativity (idea expansion, outline suggestions).Creates a marketplace of ideas where forgotten sparks of imagination can grow.

Who Benefits from This Idea?

Aspiring storytellers – get recognition and feedback for their ideas.Writers and filmmakers – access to fresh, unique concepts for development.Community of readers – discover innovative and diverse storylines.

Why Does This Idea Matter?

Storytelling shapes culture, inspires people, and drives creativity across books, films, and digital media. Too many great ideas are lost because people lack the platform to share them. This idea matters to me because I’ve often seen people (including myself) imagine plots that never go beyond conversations or notebooks. By giving these ideas a space to grow and be picked up by others, we can democratize creativity and ensure that no story idea goes unheard.

Mirai Band: A Low-Cost Safety Wearable for Women, Kids & Elderly

1. The Real-World Problem

Everyday safety is still a big issue. Women feel unsafe traveling at night, kids can wander off or get into risky situations, and elderly people who live alone often face falls or medical emergencies with no one around. The usual options—pepper spray, mobile apps, even calling someone—don’t always work when things actually get serious.

2. The Gap in Current Solutions

Smartwatches like Apple or Samsung do have SOS features, but they cost ₹30,000+ and need charging almost every day. That’s just not practical for most families.

Safety apps depend on unlocking your phone and opening them, which is impossible when you’re panicking.

Pepper sprays or alarms can scare someone off, but they don’t alert family or police.

Basically, there’s no affordable, single-purpose safety device that just works when you need it.

3. The Solution (Mirai Band)

Mirai Band is a simple, focused safety band:

Hidden SOS Button: One press or squeeze instantly shares live location with family/police.

Standalone Device: Built-in GSM + GPS → doesn’t depend on pairing with a phone.

Immediate Deterrent: Loud 90dB siren + flashing strobe light.

Extra Safety: Fall detection for elders, geo-fencing alerts for kids.

Battery: Lasts 2–3 weeks, not 1–2 days.

Cost: ₹1,500–₹3,000 device, with optional ₹199–₹499/month for monitoring services.

4. Who Benefits

Women: Feel safer when commuting or walking alone.

Parents: Get peace of mind when kids are outside.

Elderly: Immediate help in case of medical emergencies.

Community: Faster responses and fewer tragedies.

5.Why This Problem Matters

Safety is not something extra—it’s a daily need. I’ve seen situations where people couldn’t reach for their phone in time, and small things like an instant alert could’ve saved them. Right now, safety tech feels like a luxury product for the rich, but it should be something every family can afford. That’s why Mirai Band matters: it’s about making safety accessible for the future.

How It’s Different From Apple Watch

Yes, Apple Watch has SOS. But it’s mainly a fitness gadget with a price tag that locks it out for most families. It needs an iPhone, daily charging, and multiple steps to trigger SOS. Mirai Band is completely different: it’s made only for emergencies, costs 20x less, lasts weeks on a charge, and can be activated discreetly. Where Apple Watch is a lifestyle accessory, Mirai Band is a lifeline.

The Design as a Fashion Accessory

Most safety gadgets look bulky or medical, which makes people avoid wearing them daily. Mirai Band is designed to look like a stylish fitness band or bracelet, with customizable straps and colors. It blends in as a fashion accessory, so women can wear it to college, kids to school, and elders at home without feeling awkward. To outsiders, it looks like a normal wristband, but inside, it’s a discreet safety tool. That mix of style + hidden function makes people actually want to wear it, instead of throwing it in a drawer

6. Technical Details

Core Modules: GSM (SIM800 series), GPS (NEO-6M), low-power MCU (ESP32/STM32).

Battery: 500–600mAh lithium, optimized for long standby.

Communication: Sends SMS/calls directly → works without internet.

Companion App: For setting SOS numbers + optional live tracking.

Manufacturing: Can be prototyped using standard IoT components and scaled in bulk.

Mirai Band isn’t just tech—it’s hope. A future where families feel safer every day.

Blockchain Ticketing System🎬🎟️

The Telugu Film Industry (TFI) is one of the fastest-growing film industries in the world, but it has been facing a problem since its beginning, specifically in the way money flows between producers, distributors, and exhibitors and regarding whether to follow a rental-based system or a percentage-based revenue-sharing system. Even though a film performs well at the box office, producers still struggle to recover their total investment, and distributors face heavy losses. These kinds of disputes generally arise because of no clear, transparent, and trusted system to track collections and divide the revenue.

Currently, most of the collections are reported manually and are delayed. Third-party ticketing apps do show some numbers, but there is no guarantee of accuracy, and payments are often delayed, creating mistrust among stakeholders.

13715437273?profile=RESIZE_400x

My idea, “Blockchain Ticketing System (BTS)”, is a digital platform that ensures fair revenue distribution among producers, distributors, and exhibitors, to stop the debates over percentage-sharing and rental-based models and unfair distribution of revenue among the stakeholders. Linked digital wallets ensure direct payments, while stakeholders can track collections and territory-wise performance through the platform.

So, who benefits?

  • Producers benefit by receiving fair returns on their investments, with complete clarity on box office performance.
  • Distributors gain accurate data, helping them avoid losses and make smarter decisions when acquiring rights.
  • Exhibitors (theatre owners) build stronger trust with producers and distributors, as disputes over revenue sharing are minimised and theatre operations run more smoothly.

A transparent and financially stable industry encourages more films to be produced, improves overall quality, and ensures fairer ticket pricing.

Cinema has always been a passion for me, not just as an art form but as a business that impacts so many lives. I want to be part of it in the near future, contributing not only creatively but also by solving its business challenges. Financial disputes and lack of transparency slow down the growth of the industry, and I  would like to be involved in solving the problems faced by the industry.

Technical Details: The platform uses blockchain technology to securely record every ticket sale on a tamper-proof database. Smart contracts automatically divide revenue among producers, distributors, and exhibitors, while linked digital wallets ensure direct payments. An analytics dashboard provides real-time box office data and territory-wise performance, helping all stakeholders track collections accurately. In short, BTS doesn’t just track tickets—it transforms how TFI handles revenue, creating trust, efficiency, and transparency across the industry.

Smart School Water Bottle Tracker

One of the common but overlooked problems in schools is student hydration. Many children either forget to drink enough water during the day or end up wasting water by leaving bottles half full and refilling them unnecessarily. Dehydration can affect focus, memory, and energy levels, while water wastage is a global issue that often goes unnoticed in schools.

Currently, the solutions available are very limited. Teachers sometimes remind students to drink water, but they cannot track each child’s intake. Parents also assume their child is drinking enough during school hours, but there is no reliable way to monitor it. Fitness bottles with trackers exist in the market, but they are expensive, designed for adults, and not suitable for large-scale use in schools.

My idea is to create a Smart Water Bottle for Students that can monitor both hydration and water wastage. The bottle would contain a simple weight or volume sensor that measures how much water has been consumed and how much is left. This data can sync with a school app or dashboard that shows teachers whether the class is staying hydrated. Parents could also receive reminders if their child is not drinking enough water regularly. On a broader scale, the system can highlight how much water is wasted daily, encouraging schools to run awareness programs on sustainability.

Who benefits:

  • Students: better hydration, health, and concentration in class.

  • Parents: reassurance that their child’s health is being tracked.

  • Teachers: improved student performance and energy levels.

  • Environment: reduction in unnecessary water waste.

This problem matters to me because hydration is often ignored compared to food or exercise, even though it directly impacts health and learning. A simple, affordable smart bottle can build better habits in children while also teaching responsibility toward water conservation.

PathOut (a pathway out of poverty)

Poverty is one of the biggest challenges in our world today. Every day, millions of people struggle to find steady work, learn useful skills, or manage their limited money. Most solutions focus on short-term fixes like food, cash, or aid. While these are important, they don’t address the deeper issue: helping people stand on their own feet.

That’s where PathOut comes in. It’s a mobile app designed to give people real chances to earn, learn, and grow.

The app brings together three key tools:

  • First, it offers free training in practical skill like digital literacy, tailoring, carpentry, and small business basics.
  • Second, it connects users with micro-jobs in their area, from delivery and repair work to tutoring and online gigs. This means quick income and valuable experience.
  • Third, the app teaches simple money management and links people to safe savings options and micro-loans, so they can plan for tomorrow instead of just surviving today.

PathOut is especially helpful for low-income families, unemployed young people, and women who often face fewer job opportunities. Local businesses also benefit because they can easily find affordable workers. And at a bigger level, communities grow stronger when more people can support themselves. Even governments and NGOs can use the app’s data to understand where help is needed most.

This matters to me personally because I’ve seen hardworking people remain stuck in poverty simply because the right opportunities never reached them. PathOut is about changing that, it’s not just about giving temporary help, but about offering hope, skills, and tools that can break the cycle of poverty.

from poverty to possibility, by breaking the cycle and building the future.
