In many colleges students waste a lot of time trying to find free classrooms, labs, library seats, printers or even parking spots. As the student population grows and facilities remain limited, it becomes frustrating to walk across campus just to check what is available. This constant uncertainty lowers productivity, especially during busy times such as exams or project submissions, and also creates stress and unfair access because only those who arrive first get to use resources.

At present there is no single system that gives real-time information about the availability of spaces or equipment. Clubs and project teams often face clashes over rooms or lab slots. Library and computer labs fill up quickly without any advance warning. Even equipment like project kits or printers has unpredictable queues. These small but frequent problems accumulate into wasted time, reduced focus and unnecessary crowding in certain areas of the campus.

The proposed project, called “Smart Share,” aims to solve this by offering a unified web and mobile platform that displays live availability of college facilities. By connecting with existing campus booking systems or using low-cost sensors and QR codes, the app can show which classrooms, labs or library seats are currently free. Students log in with their college ID to instantly view, reserve or receive notifications when a space or resource becomes available. A built-in feedback option lets them report broken equipment or maintenance issues so staff can respond quickly.

This approach saves time, prevents scheduling conflicts and ensures fairer access for everyone. It also helps administrators monitor usage, plan better and reduce paper-based booking systems. By making campus life more organized and transparent, Smart Share improves student satisfaction and productivity. The system can later expand to parking availability, event hall bookings or even peer-to-peer equipment sharing, making it a scalable and impactful innovation for any college.

PROBLEM STATEMENT : 

Many students spend long hours sitting at desks, studying or working on laptops. this will eventually lead to neck strain, back pain, slouching and rounded shoulders. many people dont notice it until they experience back and shoulder pain, headache , neck stain. while posture correcting braces and devices exist, many are bulky, awkward, or uncomfortable to wear, making people reluctant to use them regularly. The result- Students and office-goers continue to develop long-term posture problems, affecting comfort, focus, and overall health.

GAPS IN CURRENT MARKET : 

Current wearables don’t provide real-time corrective feedback combined with progress tracking and exercises. Many solutions focus on general health or fitness, not preventive posture correction in daily life.

Existing posture braces are often uncomfortable, bulky, and unattractive, so users avoid wearing them. Current solutions like ergonomic chairs or posture reminders are often expensive, inconvenient, or easily ignored.

SOLUTION : 

The Smart Posture Wearable is a small, discreet device — like a clip-on, bracelet, or posture-correcting band — that monitors your posture in real time using motion sensors. Unlike bulky braces, it’s comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear under clothing. When the wearer slouches or sits incorrectly, it provides gentle haptic feedback to remind them to correct their posture. My idea is to create a Smart Campus Shuttle System that uses AI-powered scheduling and electric minibuses to provide an efficient, sustainable, and affordable mode of transport. Students will book rides through a mobile app, which uses real-time data and AI to group nearby requests and suggest the most optimal shuttle routes. This ensures minimal waiting time, lower costs, and reduced congestion.

Unlike traditional fixed-route buses, the smart shuttle adapts dynamically to student needs. It reduces dependency on private vehicles, cutting down traffic and pollution on and around campus. The electric vehicles make the system eco-friendly and future-ready.

The primary beneficiaries are students, faculty, and staff who save time, money, and energy. The university also benefits by reducing its carbon footprint and showcasing innovation on campus. In the long run, this system can be scaled to corporate campuses, IT parks, and residential townships.

My solution

My idea is to create an “AI Balance Framework” that can be used in schools, colleges, and workplaces. The goal is to help people use AI as a helpful tool, without letting it replace their own thinking and creativity.

The concept is to create"Smart Safety Jewelry"—wearable devices like rings, pendants, or bracelets with concealed SOS features. A simple press or gesture activates the following functionalities:

Over time, this noise isn’t just annoying, it affects sleep, focus, and even mental health. I’ve seen people, including myself, struggle with restlessness and stress because we can’t escape the soundscape of urban life.

Current solutions don’t really solve the problem. Soundproof windows block everything, including the sounds we need to hear, like a doorbell, a baby crying, or an emergency siren. Noise-cancelling headphones help, but only for individuals and only while wearing them. What we need is something smarter, more adaptive.

My idea is Dynamic Noise-Filtering Windows. These are smart windows with AI-driven panels that cancel unwanted noise but still let important sounds through. Imagine being able to sleep peacefully without traffic noise, while still hearing your alarm in the morning. Or studying in silence, without missing a knock on the door.

This idea could benefit students, professionals, families, hospitals, and even communities near airports and highways. Beyond comfort, it’s about health and peace of mind.

Smart home devices have gained significant traction in recent times. As everything around us is being automated, so are the ability to turn on fans and lights from a distance. We can notice such hardware existing in many of the houses in the first-world countries. However, it becomes too expensive to afford such luxuries and conveniences in second and third world countries like India. So I bring a solution for this. AIRLIT- The most affordable smart switch in the market.  

 

Unlike modern smart home devices which use hardware that are replacing the entire switchboard, rewiring too much and too complex to install, AIRLIT smart switches are removable gadgets that can be placed on any switch as pleased. They are battery powered Bluetooth switches that push the light or fan switches when a signal is sent to it. They will come in sets of 4-10 switches and extra batteries. The switches can be interchangeable from switch to switch just by pulling the magnet off the switches. The price at which they will be sold will be way more affordable due to the simpleness of the gadget. An app will be used to name and control the different switches from a distance. The smart switches will use special sensor software that will switch off the fans and lights when they don’t sense the user’s Bluetooth signal. One would assume the switches would look ugly. For this reason, we will offer the users the service to custom build their smart switch plates to their wish.

The Problem:

Public urination on roadsides, walls, and in markets is a constant problem in Indian cities. It is more than just an eyesore; it causes bad smells, health risks, and makes public spaces feel less dignified. Shopkeepers, residents, and commuters deal with these issues every day. Although toilets would be the best solution, building and maintaining them is costly, and changing habits takes time. As a result, cities have faced this challenge for years.

The Gaps in the Current Solutions:
• Public toilets exist, but not at the scale or accessibility required for busy city life.
• Wall paintings (like gods’ images) discourage urination but don’t solve the root cause.
• Municipal cleaning is reactive, not preventive.
• Current sanitation solutions are either too expensive (toilets) or too ineffective (paint deterrents).


Proposed Solution:
My idea is simple yet impactful - absorbent, odor-neutralizing pads and panels placed at city hotspots. Instead of expensive infrastructure or endless cleaning, these low-cost, replaceable solutions keep streets fresh, reduce odor, and make public spaces more livable.These absorb liquids such as urine, paan or gutka, drain leakage, etc. While absorbing all this it makes sure to keep the place odor free and keeps the place clean. This solution might not look like an efficient solution but the repeated behaviours even after the government initiated to deploy mobile toilets, etc. These replacable pads might help this problem as not many will try to urinate on these pads (trying to maintain dignity) but even if they do they absorb it all and can be replaced in regular intervals (twice or thrice a month).
This project is dedicated to busy, growing cities like ours that need practical, scalable, and sustainable hygiene solutions. By blending design, science, and social awareness, we hope to change the way people think about urban cleanliness.

I deal with this problem every day as I walk through streets where odors and stains have become normal.
