The traditional mobile charger has remained a simple device for years, supplying a fixed current until disconnected. This lack of intelligence leads to overcharging, energy wastage, overheating, and safety hazards. What is needed today is not just a faster charger, but a smarter charger that can manage power intelligently and safely.
My idea is to design a Smart Mobile Charger that integrates modern sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT technology to transform charging into a safe, efficient, and eco-friendly process.
Core Features of the Smart Charger:
Automatic Cut-off Mechanism
Once the connected device reaches 100%, the charger will cut off power supply internally.
This prevents battery stress and ensures that no current flows unnecessarily, reducing energy waste.
Temperature & Overload Protection
The charger will be equipped with thermal sensors and voltage regulators.
If the charger detects overheating, over-current, or voltage fluctuations, it immediately disconnects power to avoid damage or fire hazards.
Adaptive Current Flow
Unlike traditional chargers that deliver constant current, this charger will adjust current dynamically depending on the stage of charging.
Fast charging can be provided initially, followed by slower, safer charging near full capacity.
IoT & App Integration
Built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules allow users to monitor charging remotely through a mobile app.
Notifications such as “charging complete,” “charger overheating,” or “power supply irregular” enhance safety and convenience.
