Idea Description

The traditional mobile charger has remained a simple device for years, supplying a fixed current until disconnected. This lack of intelligence leads to overcharging, energy wastage, overheating, and safety hazards. What is needed today is not just a faster charger, but a smarter charger that can manage power intelligently and safely.

My idea is to design a Smart Mobile Charger that integrates modern sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT technology to transform charging into a safe, efficient, and eco-friendly process.

Core Features of the Smart Charger:

  1. Automatic Cut-off Mechanism

    • Once the connected device reaches 100%, the charger will cut off power supply internally.

    • This prevents battery stress and ensures that no current flows unnecessarily, reducing energy waste.

  2. Temperature & Overload Protection

    • The charger will be equipped with thermal sensors and voltage regulators.

    • If the charger detects overheating, over-current, or voltage fluctuations, it immediately disconnects power to avoid damage or fire hazards.

  3. Adaptive Current Flow

    • Unlike traditional chargers that deliver constant current, this charger will adjust current dynamically depending on the stage of charging.

    • Fast charging can be provided initially, followed by slower, safer charging near full capacity.

  4. IoT & App Integration

    • Built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules allow users to monitor charging remotely through a mobile app.

    • Notifications such as “charging complete,” “charger overheating,” or “power supply irregular” enhance safety and convenience.

  5. Energy-Saving Design

    • By stopping idle power draw after disconnection, the charger itself becomes more energy-efficient.

    • This reduces overall household electricity consumption when multiple devices are charged daily.

A Smart Charger benefits every user by ensuring safer charging, longer device lifespan, and reduced electricity bills. On a larger scale, mass adoption can save significant energy globally and reduce fire risks associated with unsafe chargers.

​The streets of Delhi tell a compelling story about India's environmental challenge. With the National Green Tribunal's (NGT) strict 10-year age limit on diesel vehicles, thousands of well-maintained cars are prematurely sent to the scrapyard each year, creating a massive economic and environmental burden. This is the real-world problem our startup, rEVolve EV, aims to solve. Instead of scrapping these valuable assets, we offer a sustainable, certified, and cost-effective alternative: retrofitting.

​This problem matters deeply to me because I believe in the power of innovation to address waste and pollution. I've seen firsthand how the bond between a person and their vehicle is broken by a regulation that, while well-intentioned, fails to consider an alternative. Our mission is to keep these vehicles on the road, breathing new, clean life into them while preserving their sentimental value.

​The current market has two major gaps. First, while government regulations now permit retrofitting, the number of certified, trustworthy retrofitters remains low. Second, the cost for converting larger vehicles like SUVs and pickup trucks is often prohibitively high. We aim to bridge this gap by developing and gaining ARAI certification for a line of retrofitting kits that are not only affordable but also specifically designed for popular, heavier models, offering a realistic path to electric mobility.

​Our technical solution involves a complete powertrain replacement. We remove the existing internal combustion engine, fuel tank, and exhaust system. In their place, we install a high-efficiency electric motor, a powerful lithium-ion battery pack, and an intelligent control unit that manages power delivery, regenerative braking, and charging. Our process is transparent, RTO-approved, and backed by comprehensive warranties on the key components. By focusing on certified kits and a professional installation process, we ensure that every retrofitted vehicle is reliable, safe, and fully legal to operate, providing peace of mind and a greener future for its owner.
