SkillBridge

Problem Statement:

Most university students face the same struggle: lectures are too fast for some, too slow for others, and often disconnected from real-world applications. Students end up juggling YouTube, coaching classes, PDFs, and peer notes just to make sense of subjects.

The result?

Wasted time switching between resources.

Shallow understanding of concepts with little practical exposure.

Stress during exams and poor preparation for placements.

Universities producing graduates who lack industry-ready skills.

This fragmented approach leaves students underprepared, while recruiters complain about the “skill gap.”

My Solution:

I propose SkillBridge — a hybrid course and learning platform that adapts to each student’s pace and makes theory practical.

Personalized Learning Paths: At the start of every course, students take a simple test. Based on this, the platform recommends a structured study plan (slower for fundamentals, faster for areas they’re already strong in).

Project-First Learning: Each module ends with a mini project. Example: Digital Design → Verilog-based traffic light controller; Probability → simulation of random events.

Guided Doubt Solving: Students can post questions in a moderated forum where peers and mentors answer. Urgent questions get “fast track” responses.

Progress Dashboard: Visual trackers show how much is completed, which areas need revision, and how a student compares to class averages.

Career Add-ons: Resume templates, project showcases, and mock interviews integrated into the course.

Value Proposition:

Instead of scattered learning, SkillBridge gives students one clear path that balances theory, practice, and career readiness.

Saves time wasted on random resources.

Builds confidence through small but consistent projects.

Helps universities improve pass rates and placements.

Gives recruiters access to verified, project-backed talent.

Who Benefits:

Students: Learn at their own pace, with practical skills and a stronger portfolio.

Universities: Better performance metrics, improved reputation.

Recruiters: Get graduates who are ready to contribute from day one.

Parents: Transparency into their child’s learning progress and outcomes.

Why This Matters to Me:

I’ve seen friends and classmates stressed because they couldn’t keep up with courses, despite working hard. Others wasted months on coaching centers or online crash courses that didn’t really connect to what we were studying.

SkillBridge is my attempt to fix this — not just by teaching, but by giving students structure, practical exposure, and career direction in one place.

This is more than a course. It’s a way to close the education

-to-industry gap while making learning less stressful and more meaningful.

13713231074?profile=RESIZE_710xResistiCure - Solving Antibiotic Resistance One Enzyme at a Tim

Have you ever fallen sick, went to the doctor and ended up with a strip of antibiotics with no idea why you were given it in the first place? Me too, and this overprescription of antibiotics is the leading cause for the antibiotic resistance epidemic. This increases cost of hospital stays, medicinal cost and chances of permanent organ damage!

The Modern Problem

  • Ever since penicillin was discovered, bacteria have gotten more and more resistant to its efficacy and mode of action.
  • Penicillin is a B-Lactam antibiotic and is one of the more simpler antibiotics in modern medicine, but bacteria are finding new and improved methods to resist and bypass its mode of action by mutations, causing an epidemic of antibiotic resistance.
  • Once mutated bacteria gain resistance they form superbugs which spread like wildfire in hospitals causing severe public health threats. One might go to the hospital for treatment and end up getting infected by one of these 'superbugs' which have an extremely high mortality rate.
  • To treat these resistant infections, more and stronger antibiotics are prescribed which ironically lead to development of resistance for the stronger variations of the antibiotics. (https://youtu.be/DqfAqIlZDQE?si=XXE_p0cBYO2aeGST)

The Gap

  • The main gap in the products to overcome antibiotic resistance are - i) Low efficacyii) High rates of mutations to new solutions which limit long term effectiveness of the new therapeutics synthesised.iii) Lack of efficient drug delivery systems and specificity.

The Solution

  • Broad spectrum inhibition: Creating inhibitors which bind to multiple types of B-lactamases ensuring effectiveness against diverse resistant strains, which directly addresses the specificity issue.
  • Improved drug delivery: Using nano-carriers and cell penetrating peptides which help enzyme inhibitors cross bacterial cell walls.
  • Using AI to design inhibitors for high specificity and low toxicity which quickly responds to resistant mutations. Making the drug highly personalized. 13715057065?profile=RESIZE_400x

Why it matters to me:

  • Furthering progress in this area is vital for us as a society to thrive in this modern era of mutating resistant pathogens.
  • As a biotechnology student who wants to eventually go into the field of immunology and clinical research this topic is highly important and dear to me.

You know that feeling when you're completely into a movie, and then a terrible CGI shot pulls you right out of it? It drives me crazy.

This happens far too often in Indian films, and it’s not for a lack of world-class talent, especially here in Hyderabad. The real problem is a broken production model where filmmakers are caught in a "three-way squeeze" between their budget, schedule, and their creative ambition. The industry’s rigid release dates mean any delay during a shoot gets absorbed by post-production, forcing VFX studios into impossible schedules that are the enemy of quality. Furthermore, VFX is too often treated as a last-minute corrective tool—a "Fix it in Post" trap where teams spend most of their time on tedious clean-up work instead of creating magic.

For big-budget films, a huge portion of the money goes to star salaries, leaving a disproportionately small effective budget for all technical execution. For smaller films, high-quality VFX is an impossible luxury, forcing directors to either scrap ambitious ideas or settle for cheap work that cheapens the entire film. The fundamental gap in the market isn't a lack of studios; it's the absence of an intelligent workflow designed for these unique constraints.

This is personal for me. It honestly pisses me off that creators think some of this work is acceptable for the audience. The technology for incredible VFX exists; it’s just poorly funded and mismanaged. As someone who is fascinated by 3D art and currently studying AI, I believe there's a real solution here.

My idea is to build a new type of creative partner—a VFX studio with a fundamentally different philosophy. Unlike traditional studios that just "bolt on" new AI tools to an old, linear pipeline, our entire workflow would be purpose-built from the ground up for seamless human-AI collaboration. Our core philosophy is artist-augmentation, not artist-replacement.

We'd use an intelligent pipeline where AI proactively handles the laborious "grunt work"—tasks like rotoscoping and camera tracking that traditionally consume up to 70% of an artist's time. Freed from that manual labor, our artists can focus 100% of their skill on the "hero work": designing amazing characters, perfecting photorealistic lighting, and adding the final, flawless polish.

This model would essentially de-couple quality from budget. For big-budget films, we provide optimization—taking their significant but misallocated effective budget and making it deliver the A-grade results the total budget implies. For medium and small-budget films, we provide democratization, making high-end visual effects and ambitious "hero shots" accessible for the very first time. This approach also perfectly serves OTT platforms and ad agencies that need high-quality work on tight, broadcast-level deadlines.

This is the pitch, but I’d love to know what you think is wrong with it. What are the biggest challenges you see? Could a model like this actually survive?

Appreciate any honest feedback.

PawHaven – Pet Therapy & Adoption Hubs

13712556289?profile=RESIZE_400x
The Problem-

India is home to millions of stray dogs and cats who deserve love, care, and safety. At the same time, students, professionals, and families are silently struggling with stress, loneliness, and anxiety. I believe there is a powerful connection between these two problems that is often overlooked. Animals have an incredible ability to heal us emotionally, and in return, we can give them the homes and care they deserve.

The Solution-

PawHaven will create Pet Therapy & Adoption Hubs in campuses, offices, and community spaces. These hubs will be clean, welcoming centers where:

1. People can spend time with vaccinated, cared-for dogs and cats to experience joy, comfort, and stress relief.

2. Regular therapy sessions and memberships will be offered, much like wellness subscriptions.

3. Adoption drives will connect families with pets looking for homes.

4. Revenue will come from session fees, monthly subscriptions, NGO collaborations, and corporate wellness programs.

Each visit will help fund the care of the animals, creating a sustainable cycle of love and healing: people support the animals, and the animals in turn heal people.

Who will Benefit:-

1. People - Emotional healing, stress relief, companionship.

2. Animals - Safety, care, and higher chances of finding a home.

3. Community - Fewer strays, cleaner neighborhoods, stronger bonds.

Why It Matters to Me-

For me, dogs and cats have always been more than just animals, they are family, friends, and silent healers. Whenever I felt low, they gave me unconditional love. With PawHaven, I want to share that feeling with others. This is not just a business idea, it is my dream to create a space where humans and animals heal each other.
