Cubalyze: The Complete Speedcubing Trainer

Most existing Rubik’s Cube apps only provide tutorials or timers, but they don’t actively help solvers improve their efficiency.Cubalyze, is a platform designed to bridge that gap, offering both casual cubers and professional speedsolvers a smarter way to practice.

The app would analyze solve paths by letting users input scrambles manually. Instead of only recording time, Cubalyze would break down every step—detecting missed opportunities such as an easier X-cross, optimal F2L pairings, or advanced cases like ZBLL. Using AI, it then suggests personalized improvements based on the solver’s method, whether CFOP, Roux, ZZ, or a hybrid style.

Unlike current tools, Cubalyze would support multiple puzzles, including 2×2, 4×4, Megaminx, Pyraminx, etc. Users could easily input the scramble of their puzzle, and the solver would generate efficient algorithms, guiding them through the solution. Additionally, cubers can post their own solved solutions, and Cubalyze will analyze them, highlighting mistakes and suggesting better algorithms or approaches to solve more efficiently.

For speedcubers, Cubalyze would feature a customizable training mode: drilling last-layer cases, suggesting which algorithm sets to learn (like COLL or WV), and tracking not just times but also solution efficiency. It would also highlight the balance between TPS (turns per second) and move efficiency. On top of that, it would suggest the correct finger tricks for each algorithm, ensuring cubers can execute them with both speed and ergonomics. For beginners, it offers a smooth learning curve from simple layer-by-layer methods to advanced speedcubing techniques.

The gap in the market is clear: timers and tutorials exist, but there is no comprehensive tool that analyzes solves, supports different puzzles, and trains efficiency in a user-friendly way.

This idea matters to me because as a cuber, I know how frustrating it is to miss an efficient solve path or spend hours searching for algorithms. A platform that combines analysis, guidance, and versatility using AI would make cubing faster, smarter, and more fun for everyone.
