Problem Statement

  • Patients and salon customers spend hours waiting in physical queues.

  • Leads to wasted time, frustration, overcrowding, and safety issues (especially in hospitals).

  • Existing systems are either manual (paper slips) or complicated apps that small clinics/salons don’t use.

Idea / Solution

  • QNotify: A simple digital token + SMS/WhatsApp alert system.

  • Assigns a digital token when a patient/customer registers.

  • Sends estimated waiting time via SMS/WhatsApp.

  • Alerts again when their turn is near.

  • Allows remote check-in to reduce physical crowding.

Purpose & Justification

  • For Customers: Saves waiting time, reduces stress, improves experience.

  • For Businesses: Less chaos at reception, higher efficiency, happier customers → better reputation.

  • For Society: Reduces overcrowding in public spaces, especially post-COVID.

MVP (Minimum Viable Product)

  • Phase 1:

    • Use Google Form/Sheet for logging customers.

    • Send notifications via WhatsApp Business API / SMS gateway.

  • Phase 2:

    • Build a lightweight mobile/web app for token generation & queue tracking.

    • Display “Now Serving Token X” on a TV/LED screen at the clinic/salon.
