Problem
For many day scholars, commuting to campus every day is a major challenge. Public transport rarely aligns with the ever-changing college timetable, and ride-hailing services are often too expensive for students to use daily. Even though many students travel from the same localities, the lack of a proper coordination system means they end up traveling separately, wasting time, money, and energy. Unreliable schedules, long waiting times, and scattered transport options make the daily commute stressful and inefficient.

Solution
To address this, I propose Campus RideSync, a smart ride coordination platform designed specifically for college day scholars. The idea is simple: use technology to connect students who live in similar areas and share overlapping class schedules.

How it works:

Students upload or sync their class timetables.

The app intelligently groups students based on both location and schedule overlap.

It then suggests shared travel options: carpooling with peers, splitting a cab, or hiring a van together.

If classes are canceled or rescheduled, the system automatically updates the ride groups in real time.

Safety is ensured through campus ID verification, live ride tracking, and an SOS feature.

Purpose
Campus RideSync aims to make commuting smarter, cheaper, and safer for day scholars while also promoting sustainability. By helping students travel together, the platform reduces costs, saves time, and minimizes the number of vehicles on the road cutting down traffic congestion and carbon emissions. It’s more than just a transport solution; it’s about building community, sharing resources, and making campus life more inclusive and stress-free for those who travel long distances every day.
