Li-Fi data transfer system

Problem
Students often face problems with slow or unreliable Wi-Fi or costly mobile data when trying to access study materials. In crowded classrooms or libraries, the internet becomes even weaker. Teachers also face challenges because once they share notes or slides online, they can be copied, leaked, or misused easily. Current solutions like password-protected files are not enough.

Solution
The idea is to use a Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) data transfer system in schools and colleges. Li-Fi uses visible light instead of radio waves to send data. By installing Li-Fi transmitters in classrooms and libraries, teachers can transfer notes, lecture slides, and resources directly to students’ devices quickly and securely.

Benefits

For students: Fast, reliable access to materials without depending on Wi-Fi or mobile data. Saves time and money.

For teachers: Better control of content since sharing is limited to the classroom or library light zone, making copying or leaking harder.

For institutions: A secure and modern learning system that reduces misuse and improves efficiency.

Why it matters?
This idea matters to me because I see students wasting time and money due to weak internet and teachers frustrated about their work being copied or misused. A Li-Fi system can make education faster, fairer, and more secure for everyone.

 Idea: Voice-Controlled Smart Helmet

 The Problem

Two-wheeler riders frequently use their phones while riding for navigation, music, or communication. This behavior creates dangerous distractions and often leads to serious accidents. Current helmets offer only physical protection; they do not address the risks caused by digital distractions. Riders need a safer way to stay connected on the road without compromising their focus or safety. In India alone, two-wheelers account for over 40% of road accident fatalities every year. A quick glance at a phone screen while riding can reduce reaction time by more than half, often proving fatal. Delivery workers, who depend heavily on maps and calls, are among the most vulnerable. Clearly, the existing solutions fail to address the root cause of distracted riding—the unsafe dependency on handheld devices while on the move.

The Solution

The Voice-Controlled Smart Helmet integrates cutting-edge technology with rider safety. It transforms the helmet from a passive protective tool into an active safety companion.Equipped with a built-in AI assistant, it provides:13715132476?profile=RESIZE_400x

  • Hands-Free Control → Riders can answer or reject calls, send voice texts, and control music entirely through voice commands. The AI filters out non-urgent notifications, reducing unnecessary distractions.
  • Smart Navigation → Integrated speakers deliver real-time, turn-by-turn GPS directions, eliminating the need to look at a phone. Offline mode ensures uninterrupted navigation in low-network areas.

  • Seamless App Integration → Compatible with widely used apps such as Google Maps, WhatsApp, Spotify, and delivery platforms like Swiggy or Zomato.

  • Enhanced Safety Features

    • Helmet-engine lock ensures the bike engine remains disabled until the helmet is securely worn.

    • Crash detection system triggers an SOS alert, automatically sharing the rider’s live location with family or emergency services.

    • Fall detection sensors provide alerts even at low speeds, preventing delayed response in minor accidents.

  • Sustainable Power → A solar-powered charging strip on the helmet ensures uninterrupted functionality, supported by USB-C charging for backup.

 who Benifits

  • Two-Wheeler Riders → Enjoy safer, connected rides without distractions.

  • Delivery and Gig Workers (Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, etc.) → Safely follow maps and answer calls while riding, improving efficiency.

  • Families → Peace of mind knowing their loved ones are traceable and better protected.

  • Insurance Companies → Reduced accident claims due to fewer distracted-riding incidents.

  • Governments & Policymakers → Potential to enforce smarter road safety standards.

. Why this matters to me

Every day, riders risk their lives by holding phones while navigating or answering calls on the road. A single moment of distraction can result in life-threatening accidents. This smart helmet transforms a mandatory safety gear into an intelligent companion, ensuring that connectivity never comes at the cost of safety.Globally, the smart wearables and mobility tech industry is growing rapidly. With India’s two-wheeler population crossing 200 million, this solution addresses a massive market while also saving lives. By tackling the cause of distracted riding, not just the consequences, the Voice-Controlled Smart Helmet has the potential to prevent thousands of avoidable accidents and redefine road safety standards worldwide.

IDEA- To revolutionize healthcare by creating a triadic interface that integrates the precision of AI, the lived experience of patients, and the expertise of doctors—making diagnosis more transparent, personalized, and trustworthy.

PROBLEM:

In today’s world, AI has become central to many aspects of life, but healthcare remains a sensitive domain where trust, empathy, and context matter most. Current AI health tools are often:

Impersonal → They lack what the human touch patients expect in care.

Opaque → Patients don’t understand how AI reaches its conclusions.

Incomplete → Doctors often don’t have time for in-depth case interviews, and patients’ lifestyle context is frequently overlooked.

This disconnect leads to miscommunication, mistrust, and missed opportunities for better care outcomes.

Existing Alternatives:

AI-only diagnostic tools (e.g., Babylon, Qure.ai, symptom checkers): Fast but impersonal and opaque.

Doctor-only consultation platforms (e.g., Practo, Traya, HealthPlix): Personalized but limited by time and scalability.

Hybrid research models (e.g., NeuroEdge studies): Demonstrate promise but remain mostly in research labs, not accessible to patients.

❌ Missing Link: A structured, collaborative loop where AI, patients, and doctors interact transparently to co-create the diagnosis.

Solution

This TRIDX basically unites the three: User inputs(Peoples' concerns) + AI-generated responses + Doctors' Approving and refinement.

TRIDX AI Collaborative Care introduces a layered, collaborative diagnostic pipeline:

1. AI First Pass → AI processes symptoms and medical history to generate preliminary insights.

2. Patient Context Layer → Patients add lifestyle details, preferences, and past experiences.

3. Doctor Refinement → Doctors review, edit, and refine AI’s suggestions—preserving authority while saving time.

4. Consensus Output → Final recommendations include AI + patient + doctor input, with a confidence score and reasoning dashboard.

5. Community Validation → Verified patients with similar conditions can share experiences for additional real-world validation.

Key Features

Currently, there are several apps offering direct communication between the patients and doctors.

And when it comes to AI tools, they provide us with the possible suggestions but they are not verified or confirmed by any qualified people, also noone will be held responsible for the misleading content that we get from AI-tools. In other aspects, we can risk using AI tools, but when it comes to health that cannot be the case, accuracy is the most important thing. So, this TRIDX basically connectly AI, Doctors and Public together making life much easier for all providing not just possible options but the best results.

Reasoning Layer → Explains AI’s thought process step by step, like a doctor would.

Doctor-as-Editor Model → Doctors refine instead of starting from scratch, saving valuable time.

Public Input Integration → Patients contribute personal context (preferences, past medical reactions, lifestyle).

Multi-Specialist Review → Complex or rare cases routed to multiple experts for a consensus-based outcome.

Trust & Transparency Dashboard → Shows how much of the diagnosis came from AI vs. human input, along with confidence scores and source links.

Community Feedback → Verified patients add real-world experiences, helping others navigate similar health journeys.

How It Works

1. Symptom Input → Patient enters symptoms into the platform.

2. AI Analysis → AI generates initial diagnostic suggestions based on medical data.

3. Patient Context Addition → Patient supplements AI’s output with lifestyle details, preferences, and past medical history.

4. Doctor Review & Refinement → Doctor evaluates AI’s analysis + patient context, refining it into a medically reliable recommendation.

5. Final Output → Patient receives a transparent, trust-enhancing diagnosis with reasoning, confidence scores, and next steps.

6. Optional Validation → For complex cases, multi-specialist inputs and community feedback strengthen the outcome.

Who Benefits

Patients → Clarity, trust, and personalized healthcare.

Doctors → Time-efficient, AI-augmented support without losing authority.

Healthcare Systems → Scalable, reliable, and transparent healthcare for wider populations.

Why Now

AI in healthcare is rapidly evolving, but trust remains a key barrier.

Telemedicine and digital healthcare are now mainstream.

The demand for ethical, patient-centric, transparent AI is growing globally.

This is the right time to integrate AI, patients, and doctors into one unified ecosystem.

Why This Matters to Me

As a computational biology student passionate about ethical AI and human-centered innovation, I believe TRIDX represents the future of healthcare:

Patients empowered with agency and understanding.

Doctors supported, not replaced, by intelligent tools.

AI redefined as a partner in care, not a black box.

For me, TRIDX is not just a project—it’s a mission to humanize AI in medicine.

Final Thought

Healthcare is not just about data—it’s about people, trust, and connection. By combining AI precision, patient context, and doctor expertise, TRIDX AI Collaborative Care creates a transparent, collaborative, and humanized healthcare ecosystem.

This is more than innovation; it’s a step toward a future where technology amplifies humanity in medicine rather than replacing it.

~ “Turn your data into your asset, Because your data should work for you." ~

I’ve always been struck by how casually we give away our data. Every time we shop online, use an app, or even just scroll through a feed, bits of our lives are quietly recorded, packaged, and sold. Companies make enormous profits from this information, while the people actually creating the data—you and me—get nothing. It feels unfair, and honestly, a little unsettling. That’s what inspired me to think about a Decentralized Data Ownership Wallet.

The idea is simple but powerful-> a secure vault where all your personal data lives—your browsing history, health stats, shopping patterns, even your social activity. Instead of corporations collecting this automatically,  'you' choose who gets access, for how long, and under what conditions. Imagine a medical research company wanting your fitness data. Instead of taking it for free, your wallet could grant permission, anonymize it, and even earn you some income in return.

To make this practical, the wallet would come with an AI assistant that negotiates on your behalf. If a company offers too little for your data, the AI could counter. If several buyers are interested, it could set up a small auction. This way, your data becomes a kind of digital asset—something you actually own, control, and benefit from .

This matters to me because our relationship with technology has become one-sided. We use platforms, but they use us more. A wallet like this could restore balance, giving people both privacy and power. It’s not just about making money; it’s about trust, consent, and fairness. I imagine a future where owning your data is as normal as owning your house keys, and this could be a first step toward that world.

“Privacy with power, ownership with choice.” ~

One of the common but overlooked problems faced by students today is dehydration. With packed academic schedules, hostel routines, and the constant use of gadgets, students often forget to drink enough water. This directly impacts focus, energy, and health. Current solutions such as mobile reminders or fitness watches are not effective enough, since students tend to ignore phone notifications or do not invest in expensive fitness devices. There is a clear gap in the market for a simple, affordable solution dedicated to hydration.

My idea is to create a Smart Water Bottle that tracks water intake and reminds users to stay hydrated. The bottle would include a hydration sensor that records how much water is consumed throughout the day. It would connect via Bluetooth to a mobile application that sets personalized daily goals. The bottle itself can glow or vibrate gently to remind the user to drink water, making it harder to ignore than just a phone notification.

This problem matters to me because I have personally experienced headaches, tiredness, and lack of concentration during classes, which were later caused by dehydration. Staying hydrated improves learning, boosts mood, and even helps in physical activities like sports and gym training.

The main beneficiaries of this idea are students, working professionals, athletes, and health-conscious people. By making hydration visible and engaging, this idea provides a practical wellness solution that fits into everyday life and fills a current gap in the market.

One of the most common struggles I’ve seen as a student is simply finding my way around large campuses. Google Maps helps outdoors, but the moment you step inside a building, its usefulness ends. Freshers often feel lost trying to locate classrooms, labs, or administrative offices. The same happens in malls—hundreds of shops spread across multiple floors, but no easy way to find the exact store. That’s the gap I want to solve with CampusMaps: a mobile app that extends navigation indoors.

The concept is simple but powerful. Using only the phone’s built-in sensors like the accelerometer (for counting steps) and gyroscope (for direction), the app can estimate your movement and guide you in real time without relying on Bluetooth beacons, Wi-Fi routers, or any extra hardware. Just one tap, and CampusMaps becomes your personal indoor guide—pointing you toward your lecture hall, the library, or that café in a crowded mall.

The benefits are huge. Students, especially newcomers, gain confidence and independence navigating their campus. Shoppers save time and stress when locating specific stores. Universities and mall managers benefit too, since happier visitors means smoother operations and better experiences.

This problem matters to me because I’ve personally experienced the frustration of being lost in a new campus. What should be an exciting first day often turns into stress and confusion. With CampusMaps, we give people not just directions, but freedom, confidence, and time saved.

Of course, there will be challenges—accuracy, data mapping of interiors, and UI design—but if solved, CampusMaps could redefine how we navigate the world indoors.

Dream Printer

Dream Printer – A device that turns your dreams into visual art using AI

Dreams are such an intriguing part of our lives, but most of them fade away the moment we wake up. Usually, we only remember bits and pieces, even though dreams often carry emotions, creativity, and sometimes powerful insights about ourselves. The challenge is simple: there’s no real way to capture or preserve them in a meaningful way.

That’s where the Dream Printer comes in. Imagine a wearable headband that tracks brain activity during the REM phase of sleep, when dreams are most vivid, and then uses AI to turn those brainwaves into abstract sketches by morning. Instead of relying only on memory, you would actually wake up to a visual version of what your subconscious experienced at night.

What makes this idea different from normal sleep trackers is that it doesn’t just tell you how well you slept and it lets see you your dreams. For individuals, this could become a powerful tool for self-reflection and personal growth. For artists and creators, it could be a constant source of fresh inspiration. And for mental health professionals, it could offer a new way to understand the subconscious patterns of their patients.

In short, the Dream Printer is about making the invisible visible. By turning fleeting dreams into lasting visuals, it opens up new ways to connect with ourselves by blending technology, creativity, and wellness in a truly unique way.

Problem it Solves:

Students living in hostels, PGs, or noisy urban neighborhoods often have to deal with constant disturbances traffic, construction work, parties, or even roommates who stay up late. This noise doesn’t just distract it directly affects focus during study hours and disturbs sleep. Poor concentration and lack of proper rest eventually lead to stress, fatigue, and weaker academic performance. While the need for quiet spaces is real, students usually have little control over their environment.

Market Gap:

The solutions that exist right now don’t really work well for students:

  • Noise cancelling headphones are effective but too expensive for most.
  • White noise apps add artificial sounds, which can sometimes be more distracting than helpful.
  • Earplugs block everything including alarms, notifications, or someone calling your name.

This means there’s currently no affordable solution that can selectively filter out only the unwanted noise while keeping important sounds intact.

Solution:

Noise Shield is designed as a student friendly, AI powered app that connects with simple, affordable earbuds. It acts like a smart sound guardian by analyzing surrounding noise and canceling out only the disturbances. At the same time, it allows necessary sounds like alarms, knocks on the door, or even familiar voices to pass through clearly.

Key features include:

  • AI Sound Filtering: Learns patterns of noises and cancels them.
  • Focus Mode: Blocks chatter, TV, or music during study time.
  • Sleep Mode: Reduces sudden disruptive sounds but allows alarms.
  • Custom Mode: Students can “teach” the app to block specific noises.
  • Affordable Tech: Works with regular earbuds, avoiding the need for costly devices.
  • Battery Friendly: Runs in the background without draining the phone.

Benefits:

  • Students : Gain better concentration, quality sleep, and lower stress levels.
  • Parents : Feel reassured that their children are living and studying in healthier conditions.
  • Universities : Benefit from calmer, more productive students and fewer complaints about hostel environments.

Why it Matters to Me:

This idea is personal. Many students, including myself, know how frustrating it is to study or rest in noisy surroundings that we cannot control. Noise Shield isn’t just about blocking sound it’s about giving students back control over their environment so they can focus on their goals, feel less stressed, and perform at their best.

I would like to introduce a “Regional Student Community Network.”

By building a state-wide student community where students studying outside their home states and students studying in their home states can connect, share resources, celebrate festivals together, get local guidance, and make new friendships, we aim to create a strong and supportive platform for all newcomers.

Every year, Lakhs of students leave their native place in search of education and career opportunities. While this journey brings growth and independence, it also brings challenges such as adjusting to new cultures, managing without family, and often feeling alone in an unfamiliar place. On the other hand, students who stay in their home states sometimes miss the chance to interact with people from diverse backgrounds. The Regional Student Community Network bridges this gap.

This network will work as a safe and welcoming circle where students can share not just academic resources like notes, study groups, and career guidance, but also personal experiences that help others adapt more easily. Beyond academics, it is a space to celebrate festivals together, enjoy cultural exchange, and preserve traditions even while living away from home. A student from one state can learn about the culture of another, while also teaching their peers about their own.

Local guidance is another key part of this initiative. Students familiar with a particular city can help newcomers with everything from finding hostels to recommending libraries, restaurants, markets. This peer-to-peer support makes settling down much easier.

SkillSwap – A Peer-to-Peer Learning Exchange for Students

Problem it Solves:
Students often struggle with certain subjects or skills but can’t always afford extra classes or tutors. At the same time, many students are strong in one subject and could easily help others. The problem is, there’s no simple, structured way for students to exchange skills and knowledge directly.

Current Market Gap:
While online courses and tutoring apps exist, they are usually paid and not personalized for a student community. Free resources lack accountability and interaction. What’s missing is a student-friendly, low-cost platform where learners can both teach and learn.

My Solution:
A mobile app called SkillSwap, where students can:
• List the subjects or skills they’re confident in (math, coding, languages, design, etc.).
• Browse what others are offering and request 1:1 help or group sessions.
• Earn Skill Points by teaching, which they can spend on learning something new.
• Join quick interactive activities like quizzes, flashcards, or mini challenges built into the app.

Who Benefits:
• Students → Learn new skills, get academic help, and save money.
• Universities → Promote peer learning and stronger student communities.
• Parents → Relief knowing students have free/affordable academic support.
• Society → Builds a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Business Model:
Freemium model – Core peer-to-peer exchanges and points system are free. Premium tier unlocks features like verified tutors, advanced analytics, and certification for completed skills.

Why This Matters to Me:
As students, we often depend on YouTube or random online resources, but learning from peers feels more natural and relatable. SkillSwap isn’t just an app—it’s a way to make education more collaborative, affordable, and fun.

A persistent problem in the art world is that emerging artists struggle to gain visibility and financial stability, while many communities lack access to affordable, original artwork. Galleries often focus on established names, online art marketplaces are oversaturated, and social media visibility depends heavily on algorithms and advertising budgets. This creates a huge gap: talented creators remain undiscovered, while audiences who might appreciate and support their work can’t easily find it.

My idea is to build a Community-Driven Digital Art Exchange- a platform that combines marketplace, mentorship, and local engagement. Unlike traditional online art sales platforms, this would emphasize storytelling and community connections alongside transactions.

Key features would include:

  1. Artist Profiles as Narratives – Instead of just posting images, artists share their creative process, inspirations, and work-in-progress updates, giving buyers a deeper connection to the art.
  2. Augmented Reality Previews – Buyers can virtually place artworks on their walls using their phone before purchasing, making art more approachable and practical for everyday spaces.
  3. Tiered Ownership Models – Beyond selling originals, artists could offer limited digital prints, time-limited exhibition rights, or even collaborative ownership, allowing buyers with smaller budgets to participate.
  4. Local Discovery – The platform highlights nearby artists and organizes pop-up exhibitions or community art walks, turning digital engagement into in-person cultural experiences.

The beneficiaries:

  • Emerging artists- gain visibility, income, and creative sustainability.
  • Art enthusiasts- get affordable, meaningful ways to collect and connect with creators.
  • Communities- benefit from local culture being celebrated and made accessible.

This problem matters to me because art is often seen as something “exclusive” hanging in galleries or priced out of reach. Yet art is also one of the most powerful ways people express identity, culture, and emotion. I believe everyone deserves access to meaningful art, and every artist deserves a platform that values them for more than just sales numbers.

Technically, the platform could use AI-driven recommendation engines to match buyers with artists based on aesthetic preferences, blockchain for transparent provenance of artworks, and AR (Augmented Reality) for immersive previews. Over time, it could evolve into a global but hyper-localized ecosystem where art isn’t just consumed, it’s experienced, shared, and lived.

LandLens - Your real estate companion in the pocket

Problem:-

Investing in real estate can be a real headache, especially when it involves disputed lands or unclear property titles. Many investors have lost money by putting it into the wrong property, simply because they lack the right knowledge or access to reliable consulting experts. While real estate is booming, knowing where and what to invest is a real big challenge. Every consultant is an expert only in a limited area, but as an investors you hold the power to invest where ever you want. Its almost as if you have infinitesimal options. Consulting countless experts for each opportunity isn’t practical, and going through the legal historical complications of land ownership is not something everyone has the patience, time and skill to do.

Solution:-

A "know it all" ML model that acts like a personal consultant that can remotely go through all the legal and historical data, go through the govt servers and summarise the title transparency so you never get scammed.

What can it do?

  • It can analayze properties using advanced ML models and GPS mapping. It can search down a property using the tracking elements which govt uses (survey numbers, plot numbers etc) use gps and make it easier (bypasses the need for govt surveys)
  • It provides investment recommendations with detailed reasoning.
  • It uncovers a property’s full history: previous owners, transactions, and disputes.
  • It provides legal trials tied to a land title and suggests practical lawful ways to resolve them by going throught the history and using similar legal disputes which other lands have faced to give you the best legal method to solve the problem so your "un-useful land" becomes useful again

investors no longer need to rely on limited advice. Instead, they have a single, always-available, all-knowing agent in the pocket. Which can act as their personal real estate lawyer, consultant or eyes which can save them hours of travelling daily just to have a look at the land

Micro Research Lab

Cloud-Based “Micro-Research Lab” for Students & Early Researchers

 The Problem

Many students and early-career researchers struggle to start projects because lab access is limited, reagents are expensive, and data analysis tools are fragmented. Small colleges or community labs often lack advanced instruments (PCR, sequencing, cell culture facilities). Students waste time repeating basic protocols instead of focusing on innovative experiments.

Solution

Building a platform that provides virtual + affordable physical research support:

1. Protocol & Experiment Design Hub – A curated database of standardized experimental protocols (e.g., CRISPR editing, microbial assays, enzyme activity tests), written in a step-by-step, reproducible format.

2. Remote Experiment Services – Partner with shared labs or contract labs where users can design an experiment online, ship samples, and get results/data back.

3. AI/ML Data Analysis Tools – Integrated analysis pipelines (gene expression, docking, molecular biology stats) for students who don’t know coding.

4. Collaboration Network – Connect students, professors, and industry mentors to share small research problems and publish mini-papers or posters.

Current Gap in Market

  • Lack of hands-on, practical lab experience
  • The academic curriculum often isn’t updated rapidly enough to reflect current industry or research practices. Techniques, tools, software that are in demand are often not taught or only superficially.
  • High-end instruments and platform technologies are expensive.
  • For services that involve external labs or remote experiments, there are regulatory, compliance, quality assurance issues.
  • High cost of advanced equipment, reagents, maintaining labs. Many institutions and early researchers can’t afford them.
  • Employers often want industry-ready graduates,This disconnect makes it hard for students to transition into jobs or to know what to research.

Who Benefits from this?

  • Undergrad / MSc / PhD students: More hands-on experience, ability to do meaningful experiments, faster learning, stronger CVs, more chance to publish or move into industry/research.
  • Faculty / Mentors / Small Colleges: Ability to offer better teaching and training; attract better students; more research output.
  • Industry / Biotech Companies: Better prepared workforce, less training needed, more reliable research-ready graduates.
  • Community / Society: Faster development of local solutions (in health, environment, agriculture); improved healthcare, food safety, environmental monitoring.
  • Government & Policy Makers: Stronger R&D ecosystem, more effective use of public investment in science, improved outcomes in public health and environment.

Why this problem matters to me?

As a biotech student, I know many students and graduates probably have ideas but might be held back by lack of equipment, inadequate mentorship, or feeling lost in data analysis. This slows down your progress, discourages innovation, or even causes to give up or settle for less ambitious work.

Technical Details

  • Standardizing Protocol Templates: Create protocols with version control, clear steps, error margins, expected outputs. Includes troubleshooting tips (e.g. what to check if no band appears).
  • Data Upload & Analytics Pipelines: Web interface for students to upload raw data / images (e.g. gel bands, absorbance, microscopy). Backend pipelines to process those — image processing, normalization, statistical graphs, QC flags (e.g. low signal, contamination detection).
  • Lab Access Network: You might need to partner with labs that have good infrastructure. Could be through shared instruments, lab as a service. Consider regulatory / biosafety / ethics clearance for this.
  • Cost Optimization: Use low-cost consumables, or design kits that reuse parts. Also virtual labs or simulations where actual physical experiments are not feasible.
  • Mentorship / Peer Review Layer: Allow experienced researchers or alumni to provide feedback; community forums. Perhaps even micro-grants to students to buy reagents or get their experiments run externally.
  • Digital Documentation / Lab Notebook Tools: Web / app-based lab notebooks, version tracked, shareable, integrated with photo/image upload, auto-timestamp, etc.
  • Inclusion & Accessibility: Low bandwidth modes; offline / mobile compatibility; translation/localization; affordability for students from different economic backgrounds.

Why is it innovative?

Brings together things that are usually separate(protocols, analysis, data, experiment and publish), Democratizes research access, Turns pain points into learning opportunities, Low-cost & scalable model, Community-driven science and Bridges academia–industry gap.

Solar-Powered Portable Charger

Clean and good energy access is increasingly being a challenge, especially for rural areas and outdoors. My product is a portable, collapsible solar-powered charger that can charge multiple devices (laptops, power banks, phones) at once.

It will be water-resistant, portable, and in the shape of a portable foldable mat that will fit inside a backpack. Unlike heavy solar panels, this device is portable, affordable, and for personal use. It will also have an inbuilt battery for power storage to charge at night.

Gap in current solutions: Current solar chargers are too little (slightly powering one device) or too large and expensive for personal use.

Who is helped?

Rural students: Supply power appliances where there is no electricity.

Campers and travelers: Convenient power source outdoors.

People in communities: Promotes the use of clean energy.

This worries me since power outages are common in most areas, affecting commerce, education, and communication. A simple, sustainable solution will reduce dependence on non-renewable power and give individuals access to power that is reliable.

One of the biggest challenges I see today is how difficult it is for students and young professionals to gain meaningful work experience while still in school or college. On one hand, local businesses, NGOs, and community organizations often need extra help with tasks like digital marketing, bookkeeping, event management, or simple tech support. On the other hand, young people are eager to learn, but most internships are either unpaid, too formal, or only available in big cities. This gap leaves students struggling to gain experience and small organizations struggling to find affordable, skilled help.

The Idea: SkillBridge is a digital platform that connects students with short-term, skill-based projects offered by local businesses and nonprofits. Instead of full-time internships, students can take on flexible “micro-projects” like designing a flyer, managing a week of social media, or setting up basic data entry systems. Businesses pay a modest fee, making it affordable for them and fair compensation for students.

The platform uses a simple matching system—students create profiles showcasing their skills, and organizations can post their needs. To ensure quality, SkillBridge integrates a review system and optional training modules. Over time, it can also use AI-based recommendations to match students with projects that best fit their skill growth and availability.

Who Benefits: Students gain real-world experience, confidence, and some income. Local businesses get affordable support without needing to hire full-time staff. Communities benefit as local economies and youth skills both grow together.

Why it Matters to Me: I’ve seen friends struggle to get their “first experience” because companies expect previous work. At the same time, I’ve seen small businesses overwhelmed because they can’t afford professionals. This problem matters to me because bridging this gap means empowering both sides—youth with opportunities and communities with affordable skills.

Serenix:

Introverts and socially anxious people face unique challenges:

Fear of judgment

They want to express their thoughts but always worry about being judged or misunderstood.

Even talking to friends can feel overwhelming.

Therapy is expensive and often especially in countries like India. Indian parents won’t allow their children too.

Existing apps like Calm or Headspace only teach meditation — they don’t give a real conversation.

Anonymous platforms are toxic and are not that safe too.

Apps like Reddit or Discord allow anonymity but are filled with trolls, which makes introverts feel unsafe.

This pushes them further into isolation.

Key insight:

Introverts don’t necessarily need therapy — they need a safe space to talk freely, get support, and make genuine connections without the pressure of revealing their identity.

Proposed Solution

App Name: Serenix

A voice-based, anonymous support platform where introverts can safely express themselves and connect with like-minded people.

Core Features

Here’s what makes it unique and safe for introverts:

1. Anonymous Voice Chat (with Filters)

Users can talk to each other using voice masks so their real voice isn’t recognizable.

Example: You speak, but the listener hears a soft, neutral voice

This keeps conversations safe while still feeling human.

2. Mood-Based Matching

When you open the app, you select your mood:

Lonely, Anxious, Happy, Need Motivation, Frustrated, etc.

The app then matches you with someone feeling the same way or someone trained to help.

This makes conversations relevant and meaningful.

4. AI Conversation Starter

Many introverts struggle with how to start talking.

Before a session, the app suggests a first question or topic.

Example prompts:

“What made you smile today?”

“What’s a random memory from childhood you still think about?”

“If you could disappear for a day, where would you go?”

5. Wellness Mode (Optional)

If a user seems very anxious or upset, the app can:

Play calming background sounds.

Suggest breathing exercises.

Offer a guided reflection session.

6. Community Rooms (Like Safe Clubs)

Small, moderated groups where people with similar struggles can share voice notes or short messages.

Example rooms:

“Introverts in College”

“Shy but Ambitious”

“Social Anxiety Support”

“Breakup Recovery”

7. Gamification to Build Comfort

Each conversation earns “whisper points.”

Rewards unlock things like:

Custom avatars.

Better voice filters.

Fun badges like “Empathetic Listener”.

This makes it fun without feeling like a stressful competition.

Why This Could Work

High Demand, Low Supply

Millions of introverts struggle silently.

No app caters specifically to them with safety + privacy at the core.

Growing Mental Health Awareness

Especially post-COVID, loneliness is a huge issue.

People are more open to using tech for emotional support.

Low Stigma Entry Point

It’s not branded as “therapy” or “mental health.”

It feels like a safe, fun social tool, so more people will try it.

Student Rain Shelters

Issue
Students like me find it difficult to get to classes, labs, or dorms whenever it rains on campus. There aren't many places to seek shelter, so many of us end up completely soaked. I frequently witness groups of students standing close to walls or huddled under trees, hoping the rain will stop. In addition to wasting time, this causes fever, colds, and other discomforts.

The answer
I think there should be basic rain shelters on campus in strategic locations, such as by the library, academic buildings, dorms, and main walkways. Students can wait for a few minutes until the rain stops in these little covered buildings with benches. The same shelters will serve as cool places to rest in the summer. Although it won't cost much, it will have a significant impact on students' everyday lives.

Advantages

It is not necessary for students to get wet and miss class.

fewer illnesses brought on by being in the rain.

eliminates lengthy waits outside, saving time.

It also serves as shade in hot weather.

Why it is important to me
I've frequently been late for class due to unexpected rain. It is not comfortable or safe to stand beneath trees with laptops, books, and bags. Our campus would be friendlier, healthier, and more student-focused if we had adequate shelters. It's a tiny concept with a significant effect.

Food is one of the most basic needs of life, yet every single day tons of it goes to waste in restaurants, bakeries, hostels, and even weddings. At the same time, there are communities and families struggling to get even one decent meal a day. This mismatch always made me wonder—what if there was a way to connect the two in real time?

That’s where the idea of FoodLoop comes in. Imagine an app where restaurants, caterers, or even households can quickly list their surplus food instead of throwing it away. On the other side, NGOs, food banks, or even individuals in need get instant alerts whenever food is available nearby. A simple pickup or drop-off system ensures the food reaches someone’s plate instead of a dustbin.

FoodLoop is not just about preventing waste—it’s about creating a culture of sharing. It’s about giving businesses a chance to be socially responsible while also making a real difference to people who need it the most. In the long run, this can build healthier communities, reduce environmental damage, and bring people together around the simple, powerful act of sharing food.
