Many people want clothes that fit well, match their personal style, and last longer. But most of us don’t know a skilled tailor or a reliable place to buy quality fabric. At the same time, local tailors and fabric shops often struggle to find customers because they depend on word-of-mouth . This gap pushes people to buy ready-made fast fashion, which often doesn’t fit perfectly.

Fashion apps today mostly sell mass-produced, ready-made clothes. Online marketplaces rarely focus on custom-made fashion or local tailoring services.  Also any altration related issues. Tailors and fabric stores often don’t have websites or online portfolios, making them invisible to potential customers. Even where platforms exist, they don’t combine tailor profiles, fabric catalogs, and easy communication in one place. This leaves a big opportunity for a platform like stich connect.

By creating a platform that connects customers directly with tailors and fabric sellers, we can  support local businesses, and make custom fashion easier.

WHO GETS BENEFITED?
Customers: Get unique, perfectly fitting clothes and access to a variety of fabrics.
Tailors: Show their work, reach more people, and build a steady client base.
Fabric Shops/Suppliers: Sell more fabric without spending heavily on marketing.
Community & Environment: Supports local craftsmanship, reduces fast fashion waste, and encourages thoughtful consumption.

I’ve noticed so many talented tailors and fabric shops in my community who don’t get enough customers. At the same time, I see people buying clothes that don’t fit right or go unused. I believe a direct connection between customers, tailors, and fabric sellers can empower small businesses, reduce clothing waste, and help people express their style sustainably.
