The issue this idea addresses is the challenge behind post-workout nutrition. People looking to stay fit often face this struggle, as they can either pay too much for a pre-packaged shake, or use protein powder and a shaker cup that requires them to carry, clean, and use both. There is currently no option in the market that combines the convenience of a vending machine and the freshness of a shake bar where you can customize your protein shake.

My idea is a self-cleaning, on-demand protein shake vending machine. It will store various protein powders and liquids (water/milk) and supplements in clean cartridges. The purchaser would complete their transaction via a digital wallet or card on a touchscreen after selecting their ingredients; the machine then would dispense and mix the ingredients into a cup that provided a fresh protein shake in seconds.

Users benefit because they receive a personalized nutrition shake on-demand instead of a pre-packaged version or a do-it-yourself. Businesses benefit (especially gyms) with a premium, low-maintenance amenity they can simply provide, while generating passive income. The community benefits as well, solving the challenge or problem of post-workout nutrition while improving their health through nutritious options, while reducing plastic waste. On a personal note, this project is significant to me because I have firsthand experience in dealing with the inconveniences of post-workout nutrition. From a technical aspect, the machine will include IoT so it would have the ability to be monitored in real time
