Nice solution but it'll be hard to be accurate with the debugging processes which might be possible to debug only if we give the ai access to the computer so the privacy enthusiasts might not like it

Great concept with a clear purpose! You could improve it by detailing how OpenBuddy AI will handle different levels of user expertise for example, offering beginner-friendly explanations and advanced options for experienced users. This would make the assistant more adaptable and valuable to a wider audience.

This is a really helpful tool, I personally struggle finding resources to start using Linux and OpenBuddy would really improve the learning curve of many alike. Selling this as a tool to other colleges to include with their curriculum would be a good idea of scaling it further. All the best developing it.

OpenBuddy AI is a decent tool for anyone starting with Linux or open-source software. It’s great for quick debugging, getting tool suggestions, and having someone walk you through setups. But honestly, the AI could be a bit more accurate with its advice sometimes. The premium features seem cool, but I'm not entirely sure they’re worth it just yet. Overall, it's helpful, but it still needs some polish.

OpenBuddy AI is a great idea to make open-source easier for everyone, but it might struggle with accuracy since forum-based info can be outdated or inconsistent. Adding verified sources or community validation could make it far more reliable and trustworthy.

Sounds interesting,it would be hard to monetize this thing as there are free resources which take more time, this is definitely more convenient tho.
  • Nice idea, helping people use open sourse without getting stuck is quite useful. to make it even stronger, show how it's different from other tools like Copilot or stack overflow, and list which linux versions you'll support first . Also share different plans like a free tier vs paid features.

Many beginners give up on learning linux and open source early due to scattered documentation, so an AI assistant like this could genuinely lower the entry barrier and make the community more inclusive. Only con is having a niche target customer so marketing has to be solid for your idea. All the best!
