Nyay Seva - Your Pocket Advocate

The Problem We're Solving

Okay, let's be real. It's September 2025, and we all practically live on Amazon and Flipkart. But the scamming has gotten totally out of hand! You save up for a new phone, and what arrives? A bar of soap. You order a cool gadget, and you get a cheap knock-off. It’s happened to my friends right here in Hyderabad, and it's infuriating. The worst part is feeling so helpless afterwards. You try customer service and just get stuck talking to bots or get sent in circles until you give up. It feels like these huge companies just don't care

Gaps in the Current Market

So what can you even do? Everyone says "go to consumer court," but how?! Hiring a lawyer costs a bomb, and trying to figure out the process yourself is a total nightmare. There are some complaint websites, but they're mostly just for shouting into the void—nothing actually happens. It feels like there's no real option for a regular person or a student to actually fight back and get their money back.

Our Solution: NyaySeva

That’s where NyaySeva comes in! It’s an app that's basically a pocket lawyer for all of us. It's super simple:

  1. File Your Case: If you get scammed, you just open the app and upload your proof – the unboxing video (we all should be taking these!), pics of the fake item, and your invoice.

  2. We Check It Out: Our team makes sure the case is legit so we have all the proof we need to win.

  3. Lawyers Assemble!: We pass it on to our team of actual lawyers, and they take over everything. They’ll send the legal notices and fight the case for you. You can just chill and track the progress on the app.

And here’s the best part: it costs you NOTHING upfront. Zero. Zilch. Nada. We only take a small 20% cut if (and only if!) we win your case and you get your money. If you don’t get paid, we don’t either. It's a total win-win!

Who Benefits?

  • Us, the Customers!: We finally get a way to fight back against scams without any risk. We can get our money back and show these companies we're serious.

  • The Whole Online Shopping Scene: By holding these big companies accountable, we force them to actually police their sellers and make their platforms safer for everyone.

  • The Lawyers Who Help Us: They get a steady stream of real cases to work on and get to be the good guys fighting for us!

Why This Problem Matters to Me

Honestly, I'm just a student here in Hyderabad mahindra university, and I'm tired of seeing my friends and people online get ripped off. We're living in 2025; technology should be empowering us, not making us easy targets for scams. This idea is about using tech to level the playing field. NyaySeva is about giving us the power to demand what's right and making sure big corporations can't just ignore us. It's time we had someone on our side.
