Leftover Food Donation System for Our Campus

Leftover Food Donation System for Our Campus

Hello friends,

Every day, a lot of edible food from our canteen and events goes to waste. At the same time, many people outside our campus struggle for daily meals.

My idea is to create a Leftover Food Donation System where:

Extra food from the canteen and hostel mess is collected safely.

A small student volunteer group coordinates with nearby NGOs or shelters.

Food is delivered quickly while still fresh.

Benefits:

Reduces food wastage.

Helps people in need.

Builds a culture of social responsibility at Mahindra University.

I’d love to hear your suggestions on how this system can work better — like handling hygiene, transport, or student participation. Also, please rate this idea out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Thank you!
