Idea: AisleFind Go – Your Store Navigation Helper

The Problem: Everyone knows the frustration of wandering around a big grocery store looking for what you need. It wastes time, causes stress, and is especially hard for seniors or anyone in a hurry.

What’s Missing?:
Store apps are hard to use and need downloading. Paper maps are outdated. Nobody has made a simple tool right inside the store that helps you find things instantly—no phone required.

The Solution: AisleFind Go
It’s a friendly kiosk at the store entrance. Just type or speak what you’re looking for (like “oats” or “ketchup”), and it tells you the exact aisle and shelf. You can even scan your whole shopping list to get a step-by-step route. Store staff can easily keep the product locations up to date.

Who It Helps:

  • Shoppers: Save time and avoid stress.

  • Stores: Happier customers and fewer lost sales.

  • Seniors and people who find walking difficult: Shop with more confidence and independence.

What does it consist of:

  • Hardware: Touchscreen, computer, microphone, barcode scanner, secure enclosure.

  • Software: Simple search app, voice recognition, database, admin portal for store managers.

Why It Matters:
I’ve seen how hard shopping can be for my grandparents and how stressful it is when you’re short on time. Everyone deserves a simpler, kinder shopping experience.

  • I love roaming around in big grocery stores, but when I'm actually in a hurry and need to find something asap, this will be such a useful tool. If there was an app for this in which I could see the map of the store and mark stuff off as I collect them, this would be a perfect idea!
  • This is what I have been looking for!
It's so frustrating to find a particular item at these big grocery stores, Aislefind is real game changer. Looking forward to use one of these.
  • Very helpful and effective solution in today's day and age, since every second of our time is precious and it helps in locating items quickly
  • This is a thoughtful solution that makes shopping easier for everyone, especially for older people really smart and inclusive. Adding a multilingual option could make it even more accessible in diverse communities.
  • To make it even stronger, you could highlight integration possibilities—like linking with loyalty programs, offering promotions as people search, or using analytics to show stores which products are often searched for but hard to find. Also, emphasizing how staff can easily update the database solves a common problem of outdated info.
  • This is a great idea. It's awesome that you've identified a simple, universal problem and found a solution that makes life easier for everyone. AisleFind Go would not only save people a ton of time but would also make shopping a more enjoyable experience for those who need a little extra help.

This is a really thoughtful and practical idea! I love how it focuses on helping seniors and busy shoppers navigate stores easily. Integrating voice input and a step-by-step route for shopping lists makes it very user-friendly. It could really make grocery shopping less stressful and more efficient for everyone.
  • Great work Palak i really hope that the your idea of store navigator will really help the society and make people life easy and save their time keep going!!
  • This is a wonderful idea that solves such a common frustration for shoppers. Choosing a physical kiosk over an app is a brilliant touch.
To make it even better, you could have it sync with the store's inventory for live updates and show pop-ups for daily deals. Adding simple QR codes on the aisles would also be a fantastic way to help shoppers find their next item without having to walk back to the front.
  • This is a really smart and helpful idea! It makes shopping easier for everyone, especially elderly people, and saves a lot of time.
