Idea: AisleFind Go – Your Store Navigation Helper

The Problem: Everyone knows the frustration of wandering around a big grocery store looking for what you need. It wastes time, causes stress, and is especially hard for seniors or anyone in a hurry.

What’s Missing?:
Store apps are hard to use and need downloading. Paper maps are outdated. Nobody has made a simple tool right inside the store that helps you find things instantly—no phone required.

The Solution: AisleFind Go
It’s a friendly kiosk at the store entrance. Just type or speak what you’re looking for (like “oats” or “ketchup”), and it tells you the exact aisle and shelf. You can even scan your whole shopping list to get a step-by-step route. Store staff can easily keep the product locations up to date.

Who It Helps:

  • Shoppers: Save time and avoid stress.

  • Stores: Happier customers and fewer lost sales.

  • Seniors and people who find walking difficult: Shop with more confidence and independence.

What does it consist of:

  • Hardware: Touchscreen, computer, microphone, barcode scanner, secure enclosure.

  • Software: Simple search app, voice recognition, database, admin portal for store managers.

Why It Matters:
I’ve seen how hard shopping can be for my grandparents and how stressful it is when you’re short on time. Everyone deserves a simpler, kinder shopping experience.

Nice idea but the main problem is implementation as some stores have that kind of machine but the maintainance and operation is the problem so you have to lokke into that
  • Honestly the idea of making it easier inside big stores is really great and practical. It is indeed what people need, amidst of everything going on in life not being able to find things you need because store is so big, or item is placed under some other category is so frustrating. This will help a lot of people but how do you think people will remember all the aisles if they need a week worth grocery.
  • incredible idea that will help a lot of busy people save time who struggle to find what they're looking for in stores
  • Great idea.It is a really time saving idea because often in hurry its difficult to find products which makes grocery shopping long and tiring. It even gets more difficult at billing because of long lines and less help. So its an interesting idea to help solve this issue.
  • I think it's a very innovative idea. It will reduce the wastage of time by a considerable lot and also help in the reduction of crowd in the wrong spots. However, during rush hours, the kiosk itself can become crowded which would not solve the problem. Voice input is a good idea specially for the elderly but it can raise some big noise-interference challenges. You can also integrate RFID or barcodes into this product.
  • This is such a practical idea. I like how it removes the hassle of apps and makes the process simple for everyone, especially seniors. I can see this really helping stores too, not just customers. Happier shoppers definitely mean more sales .What stands out to me is how thoughtful this is for people who usually struggle with big stores. It’s a small change but it could make shopping so much kinder

This is a very creative idea that addresses a real-world problem effectively. I do have a few suggestions that could further enhance the overall product. It would be helpful to clearly specify the brand, as well as the exact quantity and amount required, as this would improve the user experience. Additionally, in the picture, a QR code is shown being scanned by the kiosk for the entire list. Could you clarify where and how an elderly person or any individual would be able to generate such a QR code?

This is a really helpful idea especially for the elderly shoppers. You might want to think about maintenance cost, avoiding frustration during busy times so kiosks stay reliable. Also, dependency on staff is pretty high which might be problematic because If staff forget to update the product locations, the system’s reliability drops.
