HobbyBazar - Begin your hobby adventure

Problem
Many people want to try new hobbies but don’t know where to start. They feel overwhelmed by scattered online information, unsure about what materials to buy, or how to progress from beginner to intermediate level. As a result, they often give up before even starting. Some times people don’t even know what their true interests are, and this makes it difficult for them to decide what hobby to begin with. This leads to boredom, increased screen addiction, stress, and missed opportunities for personal growth.

What Does This App Do
This app helps people of any age discover, choose, and start new hobbies by offering personalized recommendations, beginner-friendly guides, and ongoing support. When users join, they take a quiz about their interests and lifestyle, and the app uses this information to suggest hobbies that suit their personality and schedule. For each hobby, the app provides easy-to-follow tutorials, required material lists, skill development plans, and progress tracking tools.
Users can connect with a supportive community, join groups, find local hobby events, and ask experienced hobbyists for advice. Motivation features such as reminders, milestones, and friendly challenges help users stay engaged and make their hobby journey enjoyable and rewarding.

Current gap in solutions
YouTube videos, blogs or Existing hobby apps tend to focus on social networking for people who already have hobbies or only provide lists of activities without much beginner support. Also they lack personalization and don’t guide users step-by-step from beginner to expert.

Who Benefits
This app is made for people of all ages and backgrounds who want to try something new in their free time. Students can use it to reduce stress and discover creative activities beyond academics. Working professionals can discover hobbies that help them relax and bring balance to their busy and boring lives. Homemakers can explore enjoyable and satisfying activities that brighten their daily routines. Senior citizens can stay active, involved, and socially connected by taking up simple, meaningful hobbies. In short, the app helps anyone who wants to try something new but isn’t sure where to start.

Why it matters to me
This idea matters to me because I personally experienced the same problem. During my holidays, I wanted to start a new hobby but was very confused about what to choose and how to begin. I realized that many of my other friends feel the same way, they want to try something new but don’t know where to start, what materials are needed, or how to stay motivated. That experience inspired me to think of this app.
