ย India is now one of the worldโ€™s largest automobile markets, with millions of new cars and two-wheelers being sold every year. However, while owning a vehicle has become common, maintaining one is still a major hassle.

Automoblie owners usually face three big problems:

1. High costs at authorized service centers โ€“ They provide reliable servicing, but are often overpriced and push unnecessary part replacements.

2. Inconsistent quality at local garages โ€“ While cheaper, most are unorganized, lack transparency, and vary greatly in service standards.

3. Wasted time and uncertainty โ€“ Vehicle owners spend hours searching for a good garage, calling for quotes, dropping off their car, and waiting without knowing the real progress of the repair.

This lack of trust, transparency, and convenience leads to frustration. Many people even delay necessary maintenance, which reduces vehicle lifespan, lowers resale value, and compromises road safety.

The Idea

My solution is to create a digital platform where vehicle owners can easily discover, compare, and book garage services near them. Through the app:

โ€ข Customers enter their vehicle details and the service they need.

โ€ข The app displays multiple nearby garages with their prices, services, ratings, and customer reviews.

โ€ข Once booked, a verified pickup agent collects the vehicle, and the customer can track its movement live until it reaches the garage.

โ€ข During servicing, users receive real-time updates (e.g., โ€œEngine oil replacedโ€ โ€œBrake inspection in progress ๐Ÿ”งโ€).

โ€ข Customers also benefit from:

    1. GPS-based live tracking of pickup drivers and vehicles.
    2. Digital service logbook stored in the app, useful for resale or insurance claims.
    3. Service warranties backed by insurers for added trust.
    4. Receive a digital invoice, clear breakdown of labor vs parts, and can pay securely through the app.

The goal is to make car servicing transparent, trustworthy, and hassle-free, while saving customers both time and money.

โ€ข Current apps like GoMechanic work as aggregators, where the customer books a service but the app assigns the garage behind the scenes. This reduces customer choice and visibility.

โ€ข There is limited transparency in spare parts used and the actual service progress.

โ€ข Customers rarely get the option to choose between OEM, aftermarket, or refurbished parts, which matters for both budget and reliability.

The entire process feels outdated and stressful. I believe technology can change this experience by making it convenient, trackable, and transparent, just like other modern services we already rely on daily.
