Renew it rather than throwing it away. Even though millions of outdated petrol and diesel vehicles are not environmentally friendly, most households cannot afford to purchase a new EV or hybrid. However, sustainability and financial losses are the issues companies have to deal with due to the disposal of such assets. The solution is in transformation, not substitution.

Our Concept:

Retrofit old vehicles (cars, bikes…) by converting their existing motors to electric or hybrid systems. Then, add today’s features such as infotainment and connection, safety, and comfort. Once refurbished, the cars are sold at significant discounts — sometimes 60–70% less than a new EV or hybrid.

Why it works:

Car owners have affordable access to a new green car;

For communities: cleaner air, quieter streets, and lower carbon emissions.

For garages & service centers: Opportunities from upgrades and servicing (new revenue streams, skilled job creation);

Why It Matters:

As a car enthusiast, I also believe that innovation should be accessible to everyone—not just the few. The upgraded cars can then be mass-produced by the established automakers, obtain safety certifications and sell through dealerships. Thus, affordability, reliability, and scalability are guaranteed.

The project also seeks to give old cars a bold second chance at life, lower the cost of green technology, and close the gap between yesterday’s machines and tomorrow’s clean mobility. We can create an equitable and sustainable future for all through our joint efforts.

  • This is a brilliant and highly practical proposal. Retrofitting is the perfect solution to make sustainable mobility accessible and affordable for everyone.
  • This is such a powerful idea — instead of discarding old vehicles, transforming them into affordable, eco-friendly hybrids or EVs makes green mobility truly accessible. It’s a win-win: households save money, cities get cleaner air, and garages create new jobs. Retrofitting bridges the gap between sustainability and affordability while giving old cars a bold second life. This is exactly the kind of innovation we need for a just transition to cleaner transport.
  • Your startup idea addresses a real need and has strong potential if executed well—excited to see how you develop it further.
  • This is such a smart approach , reviving old vehicles instead of discarding them makes sustainability accessible. I love how it blends affordability with innovation . It's a game changer for low-income communities.
  • This retrofit solution brilliantly addresses both environmental and economic challenges by breathing new life into older vehicles. By converting existing cars and bikes to electric or hybrid systems, we provide an affordable pathway to cleaner, greener transportation while avoiding the wasteful disposal of old vehicles. This concept not only lowers the barrier to sustainable mobility but also creates new opportunities for businesses and communities. It’s a win-win for both the environment and people’s wallets, making the future of transportation more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable.
  • Love this idea! Giving old cars a second life as EVs is affordable, eco-friendly, and makes green tech accessible to everyone.
  • Great concept with strong sustainability impact, but success depends on regulatory approvals, battery sourcing, and large-scale affordability.
  • This is a really strong concept—you’ve highlighted the financial and environmental challenges clearly, and the idea of transforming rather than discarding old vehicles feels both practical and innovative. I like how you broke down the benefits for individuals, communities, and service centers—it makes the impact very clear. To strengthen it further, maybe you could add a line on potential challenges, like the cost or technical difficulty of retrofitting, and how your idea might address them. That way, it feels even more realistic and convincing.
  • .This is a practical and impactful idea. Converting old vehicles makes clean mobility affordable and sustainable while also preserving classic cars, reducing raw material demand, and extending vehicle lifespans.
  • I really love your concept! Especially when the retro vechincles are back on the road and affordable for everyone ! I would also love to hear more on the green energy you've mentioned to used!
