13713221058?profile=RESIZE_710xBeing an undergraduate student in CS-AI and a graphic designer, I’ve noticed how much money new startups, especially in technology and gaming, spend on design services that are both high-quality and affordable. At the same time, many freelance designers, particularly students and young professionals, struggle to find meaningful work outside traditional agencies and established networks.

Dazl seeks to bridge the gap by unifying startups and independent designers so they can work together to create actual projects, learn, and build portfolios. While Dazl is most appropriate for technology startups, SaaS, and gaming/esports, where design is the most critical element, it can be adapted to serve other industries which need innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Some of the features are:

Verification Levels: Subscription-based verification for entrepreneurs and designers assists in establishing trust. Experience and work history are highlighted in verified accounts, enabling users to make informed decisions based on better information.

Rating System: Genuine ratings and reviews assist in creating authenticity and enable freelancers and startups to effortlessly gauge the quality of collaboration.

Milestone Payments: Work is divided into defined milestones with predetermined deliverables, making it possible for businesses to project their budget and compensate freelancers appropriate remuneration for their efforts.

Escrow System: Money is safely kept in escrow until project milestones are approved, both for financial security and peace of mind for all parties.

AI-Assisted Matching: Smart matching by ability, experience, and availability enables teams to find the most suitable collaborators without difficulty.

Startups building new apps, platforms, or games have affordable, quality design services at their disposal. Freelancers also have the chance to work on projects that allow them to build capabilities, networks, and future opportunities. Dazl is not just a marketplace, it's a community where trust is built, creativity is fostered, and growth is promoted.

This is close to my heart because creative potential is likely to remain unfulfilled, and startups unnecessarily get handicapped for lack of it. By bridging businesses and freelancers in an organized, secure, and collaborative environment, Dazl looks to create a platform on which ideas and designs can evolve together.

  • I was always interested in getting into UI/UX and Graphic Design but never found a way to make it into the market. This will help aspiring designers pursue their dreams and maybe spark a new generation of designers!
  • Dazl addresses a real need by uniting startups with talented design freelancers in a secure, structured way. The verification, escrow, and milestone payment features build trust and ensure accountability. Adding more transparency around designer selection criteria and ensuring affordable access for emerging talent would further strengthen the offering.
  • Dazl presents a promising platform that bridges the gap between startups needing design work and designers seeking credible gigs. Features like milestone payments and verified portfolios help build trust and reduce friction. Some more detail on customer acquisition strategy and quality control would boost confidence, but overall this is a well thought-out proposal.
  • A strong proposal that addresses a clear market need with smart, trust-building features. The AI matching is a great touch. To make it even more compelling, clarifying its unique competitive advantage over established freelance platforms would be beneficial.
  • For a platform emphasizing "trusted design solutions," the article could strengthen its pitch by briefly detailing Dazl's quality control or vetting process for the "independent designers" it seeks to unify, as this is crucial for establishing credibility with demanding tech start-ups.
  • Dazl seems like such an innovative tool for designers, but I wonder how you will practically implement it well enough to enlarge its reach towards the vast audience that could be helped by this
  • A strong and creative concept with clear purpose, though I wonder how you’ll maintain consistent quality as the platform scales. Ensuring every project meets the same creative standard could be a real challenge.
  • The current value proposition—"organized, secure, and collaborative"—is generic. To justify the "trusted design solutions" claim, Dazl must specify the unique features that actively prevent scope creep and guarantee high-quality client brief alignment, addressing the core pains of both startups and designers.
  • AI-assisted matching sounds useful, but I’d love to know how “ability” and “experience” will be quantified. Creative work is often subjective, so the algorithm might struggle to match the right designer with a brand’s visual style or vibe.
  • The key tension is Dazl's promise of "trusted, high-quality" design while relying on affordable, newer talent. The concept needs to detail the specific quality control mechanisms that will consistently deliver premium results and distinguish the platform from generic, low-cost freelance marketplaces.
