ConnectOnGo

ConnectOnGo

More than 40% of food produced in India goes to waste every year with restaurants, bakeries, and cafés contributing a large part of it. Perfectly good and freshly baked bread, as well as pre-prepared meals, are often thrown away at the end of the day simply because they were not sold. On the other hand, millions of people struggle to find even one meal a day. ConnectOnGo is an app designed to change this. Restaurants and bakeries can use this platform to connect with nearby NGOs, orphanages, or volunteers who can collect the food and distribute it to those in need. They can list the food they have left at the end of the end and connect with people who are interested. With its location based system, ConnectOnGo ensures that meals reach their destination quickly and on time. For restaurants, this is not only a way to reduce food wastage but also a chance to make a real difference in the society. ConnectOnGo proves that even leftovers can create hope and when we all come together, every meal saved becomes a meal shared. This idea matters to me because food is soemthing so basic yet so much goes to waste unnecessarily every day. This apps puts an end to that.

  • Such a thoughtful solution to food waste and hunger! Turning surplus food into meals for those in need creates real impact! The key challenge might be ensuring timely logistics and food safety, but if managed well, ConnectOnGo could bridge a powerful gap between waste and hunger.
  • ConnectOnGo is a great idea to stop food waste and help people in need. The app’s location system makes it easy for restaurants and bakeries to share extra food with nearby NGOs and volunteers. To work well, it should have clear food-safety rules, quick pickups, and verified NGOs/volunteers so everyone can trust the process. Starting small with packaged or bakery food and showing results like meals saved will help build trust and attract more partners. With these steps, ConnectOnGo can turn leftover food into real help for people.
  • This is a really practical idea. Food waste is such a big issue, and if restaurants or bakeries could connect with NGOs or volunteers this way, it could actually make a difference for people who struggle to get even one meal a day.
