CleanQuest- Play the game, Win a cleaner world.

Cleanliness in public places, does it ring a bell? A cliche concept for most of the people in our generations you could say. But has this issue been resolved? Despite campaigns like Swachh Bharat, littering and neglect is still a never ending problem for us. The point is, people know cleanliness is important, but most don’t feel personally motivated to act. It feels more like a chore than a choice.

That’s where my idea, CleanQuest comes in. A mobile app and a platform that changes the whole game. It makes cleaning not just a chore but also a fun and gamified challenge.

Let me give you a brief on how it works: Imagine you are walking down a street and spotted a pile of plastic waste. Instead of ignoring it, you and your friends use the app to organize a quick cleanup. Once you are done, you take a picture, upload it, and earn points. These build up to:

  • Personal rewards: discounts on food( we can collaborate with different food brands), shopping vouchers, free metro rides.
  • Community badges: your neighborhood becomes a “CleanZone” on the city map.
  •  friendly competitions: you schools, colleges and workplaces could have monthly competitions and win even bigger rewards.

Now, one may get a doubt about how we would know if the clean up is real or just a fake setup. The app uses GPS tagging to verify cleanup spots and prevent fake uploads. We could get brands and municipal corporations to also sponsor for a more real life benefits oriented output rather than just a feel good plan.

Who would benefit out of this?

  • Businesses: who gain goodwill by sponsoring cleanliness rewards.
  • Citizens: Cleaner surroundings mean better and healthier lives
  • Municipal Bodies: they practically get volunteer support without extra cost.

Why does this idea matter to me?

  • It saddens me to see how we don’t keep our country clean but when we go to another country the same people would throw the trash in the dustbins or wait it out till they get home.
  • But once we are back, suddenly we just choose to litter on our home grounds and not blink an eye.
  • How is it different? Shouldn’t we care more for our home? When I see litter on our roads, I stop blaming the people but instead I now want a system where  people actually want to clean.

But a change has to be made. By turning cleanliness into a game, we’re making it cool , fun and rewarding. something people look forward to, rather than avoid. CleanQuest isn’t just about cleaning spaces, it’s about cleaning habits, mindsets, and our shared future.

  • This is a very original and powerful idea! You took a common problem, like keeping public spaces clean, and looked at it in a new way that focused on finding a solution. CleanQuest makes cleanups more fun and useful by turning them into games. This is especially true for the people of our generation. Your explanation flows well and clearly explains the issue, the solution, and the effect. Overall, i think it's a strong and well thought out pitch.
  • This idea does have potential to be successful if the rewards are really significant, since its human nature to work better with rewards. this initiative would work really well and would actually lead to a difference if people are hooked to it like a game
  • CleanQuest really feels like something that could get people excited about keeping their surroundings clean. I love how it turns a simple act into a fun challenge that brings everyone together. Maybe adding more ways to keep people hooked over time could make it even more powerful.
  • The idea is well thought out and brings a fresh approach to promoting cleanliness by making it interactive and rewarding. It has the potential to encourage community involvement and change how people view their responsibility toward public spaces. However, the challenge might be ensuring that people continue participating once the rewards lose their novelty. Focusing on building a sense of personal and social responsibility alongside the incentives could help make the impact more lasting.
  • This idea has great potential to turn a simple act into a shared movement. The way it connects fun, teamwork, and real rewards makes it feel achievable and inspiring. If done well, CleanQuest could genuinely help people see cleanliness as part of everyday life rather than an obligation.
  • This is a thoughtful idea that makes cleanliness feel more engaging and rewarding. The reward system and community challenges could really motivate people. You might just need a plan to keep users active once the excitement fades, but overall it has strong potential to create lasting change.
  • Interesting concept. Turning cleaning into a challenge could actually get people involved. The rewards and competitions make it more engaging, though the app will need solid ways to keep things fair and real. Overall, a fresh take on a familiar problem.
  • Absolutely brilliant! CleanQuest turns responsibility into excitement — making cleanliness a game everyone would actually want to play. Love how it blends tech, teamwork, and purpose! CleanQuest is a thoughtfully designed and impactful idea that transforms the concept of cleanliness into an engaging, tech-driven experience.
  • The CleanQuest idea is both innovative and inspiring. It brings a fresh take to an age-old problem: public cleanliness. It creates a bridge between awareness and action, addressing the motivational gap. The concept of gamifying civic responsibility through an app is not only clever but highly relevant in today's digital, reward-driven world. The integration of features such as GPS verification, community-level rewards, and corporate sponsorships demonstrates a well-thought-out approach to addressing the implementation issues of this solution. I appreciate and relate to the section on why this matters to you!
  • This is an amazing idea!!!!
CleanQuest is fun and innovative and actually has real life benefits and might actually turn cleaning into something people look forward to. However relying solely on GPS tracking might not be the best idea as nothing is stopping people from setting up fake trash in different places.

CleanQuest is a really creative concept and has got lots of potential
