Many students want to earn some extra money during college, but most part-time jobs available are generic and don’t help them grow their skills. For example, working at a café or handing out flyers may pay, but it doesn’t add much value to a student’s career. At the same time, there are always students who need help with small but skilled tasks — like designing a poster for an event, tutoring for a difficult subject, making a short video, or fixing a piece of code.

My idea is CampusGigs, a campus-only digital marketplace where students can post short-term gigs and others can accept them for a fee. Gigs can be academic (tutoring, project help), creative (photography, design), or technical (coding, app setup). The app would include a secure payment system, ratings, and profiles so students can build a reputation while earning.

Over time, students can showcase their completed gigs as a micro-portfolio, helping them demonstrate experience to future employers. The system creates a mini-campus economy that rewards skills, saves time, and keeps money circulating among students themselves.

Who Benefits:
Students looking for extra income, those needing affordable help, and universities that want to encourage entrepreneurship and collaboration.

Why It Matters:
This platform transforms casual help into a professional, skill-building opportunity — letting students earn, learn, and grow at the same time.
