Audio Lounge - daw lite based app + web

Audio Lounge - daw lite based app + web

University life is full of talented singers, instrumentalists, producers, and songwriters, yet most remain disconnected. DAW (Digital audio workstation) is an expensive and a complex interface platform where some of musicians use and buy and record their composed tracks. Existing tools for musicians (DAWs, social apps, event boards) are scattered and rarely tailored to the rhythms of campus life. As a result, countless students miss opportunities to create, perform, or simply share their music while at university. Many of us have an idea of a tune or instrumentalists create a track in their instruments but often struggle to record or make a score about it due to the complex user interface in DAW. Hence I propose DAW lite - a user friendly platform where musicians and enthusiastic listeners meet and talk with each other. It is about establishing a music community where our passion speaks.

Normally, DAW is expensive and it is due to the really good tones of various instruments and the memory space it takes up. So this app + web DAW lite would take simple tones and have a user friendly interface for users. People who use the app or web can access to people and musicians around where they can chat, interact and compose music. But this comes with some people who abuse this platform in one form or the other. With growing sounds and people chatting, the platform would occupy memory or a huge cloud space.

However, There would be constant AI monitering any sort of abuse by a person. The objective is for people to connect with musicians and explore different sounds and tones making people connect to music, with something they love. More the users are, more people get involved leading to revenue with minimum advertisements related to music around the world. This platform is best for beginners and musicians who cant afford big softwares and powerful pc's. Oppurtunities can also be created for musicians who come up really good tunes, which can earn them a chance to compose for short films or gigs.

Personally as an instrumentalist, this would help a lot of people like me who have a lot of tracks but lack its expression and execution. Some short films can also sort their budget problems as they can easily search and buy good tones from new musicians. Most liked tones will be displayed and more the rating, more its cost to hear. This can be done as they might be a chance where creators may copy the really goof tones. This platform can start slowly as there are a lot of technical stuff. Eventually, as users increase, we will take suggestions from them to add more features and make the app + web glitchfree and easy to use.

  • Hope there's a good discovery feature. It'd be great to connect with a jazz drummer, not just see the same 10 guitarists in my dorm.
  • YES! I've tried learning Logic/Ableton and always get lost. A simple interface just to get ideas down is exactly what students need.
  • This is a brilliant idea! As a musician, this looks pretty good to me. A simplified version like this could help us create better music without needing expensive softwares. Can't wait to try it out!
  • Lovely idea! Have many friends and acquaintances who will benefit from this. I also love that this idea caters to musicians and short film makers. Can't wait to explore!
  • As a film student constantly struggling to find original music, this is a goldmine. I'd be scouting for new talent on here 24/7.
  • Love this concept! It’s a brilliant way to connect campus musicians and lower the entry barrier to music creation.
  • Love the concept, but you'll need a way to integrate VSTs or offer premium sound packs eventually, or people will outgrow it fast.
  • Forget the DAW, just lean into the social side and become the "Tinder for finding bandmates" on campus. That's the real problem to solve.
  • It’s super cool to see a platform made just for students and upcoming musicians. The fact that it’s easy to use and helps people connect, share music, and create together is awesome. Finally, something that makes music creation fun and accessible without needing expensive software!
  • Such a beneficial idea with a truly invaluable purpose for aspiring musicians! Through this user-friendly platform and building a community, this has the power to bring artists closer to the music that they envision to create.
