In my opinion the most crucial challenge that you might face is strong police/monitoring integration as you mentioned. The entire system will only be effective if authorities can respond quickly and reliably to panic buttons. Without a sure and prompt response, the pods could end up being a threat and may even create a false sense of security. I guess the long-term success of SafeStreet depends on securing commitment from city planners and law enforcement.
